Cool rave! I have a friend who was importing stuff like that, still has them (lots of silver too) and was thinking on selling online, don't know why he didn't do it yet.
Nice to see yours works!
Terry we want you, come back please.

Your friend should give it a try. If he/she is making handmade items, Etsy might be a great venue as well. I've earned a good deal there. Bonanza is more geared toward selling within the US.

And yes, Terry. Please come back.

Excellent raven. Good for you for sticking up for yourself.

Yes, Terry come back! We have missed you.

Wow, I just had the best horsey sessions ever. Both horses were amazing.

Wiseguy was calm and did the obstacle course.

Pony Baloney was calm and we did round penning at a walk. We also did yield the hindquarters while off lead.

Thanks Sandy. It's good to know somebody cares.

You're all a great bunch but I don't fit in here, which was shown by my last post. Good bye.
Whadda ya mean, you don't fit in here?
I luvs ya Terry - I don't drive a couple of hours to meet people for coffee at a train station for just anybody.
I've just been in lurking/passing through mode (really bad internet access now), so sorry if I've missed any of your posts.

I am sorry you came to that conclusion. You do fit, because we are tolerant of individual differences. "Uncle" is the most different among us, and he still flies by.
Hey Volties. I bet you thought you were rid of me but I've been lurking.
I am personally a reclusive person, because of past hurts. Sometimes I have come to expect negative personal interactions, because that is all that seemed to happen in the past. There are reasons why I rarely post about events IRL. Seeing you at the train station was great. You have been busy with your property, and I can understand why you have not been posting. Please come back.

He doesn't make them, he was importing them from Thailand and several asian countries, he has a lot of them, he had a shop here but since this crisis nobody buys stuff like that, even the silver ones. Ebay should be good for him probably too.

Have you smacked Terry from me yet? :D

Hi Rave, nice to see you back again. Also nice to hear you have a flourishing business going. I should get off my duff and sell a bunch of stuff, too. I have some fancy coax, actually hardline, connectors, radios, spray painting gear and a bunch of other assorted stuff that I don't need or use anymore. Then there's a ton of vape gear that is collecting dust that can go, too.

Terry, you're one of the first people I've ever heard say that cutting, splitting and stacking firewood is fun, LOL. It can be relaxing and it sure is pretty good exercise, but "fun" I'm not too sure of. I will admit I miss doing it though. Wish I had a place to put a fireplace in here and a source of free or inexpensive wood to feed it.

I've seen Terry lurking and figured she and Rave would post when they are ready. Sometimes I get in the mood to just read posts and stay silent, too.

I've been busy all day. I had blood work this AM, just normal maintenance, then Lowes, then the bank, then the butcher. Add in having to get some food in between, do the morning dishes, make the bed, feed and walk Bo and I haven't really had any time other than a few minutes to do some reading here.

It's 77 outside right now with some sun making it through the clouds. I've got some odds and ends things to do outside which will make me see the yard covered, again, with a thick carpet of leaves. I'm going to switch the blades on the mower to mulching blades to see if that helps pick them up better.

moanin' Voltaticaliytes.

Yeah, but you also get to say goodnight first, LOL.

The weather here is continuing to stay warm, 60 outside when I walked Bo at 6. Tomorrow is supposed to be cooler, upper 50's for a high, but after that, warming again into the upper 60's and low 70's. I'll take it, no need to run the heat. I'm afraid we'll pay for it later in the season though. There's so many leaves in the front yard the only way to tell where the driveway is located is by the reflectors out by the curb.

It is a chilly 23 degrees outside right now.

Good frozen morning, Voltpeeps.

They are claiming that it will be 53 degrees today. I did some more yard clean up yesterday but I couldn't get the burn pile to burn since it was cold and damp. Hubby will have to get out the flame thrower this weekend.

I still can't believe how nice it was to work with my little horseys yesterday. I really like Pony Baloney. And Wiseguy was a little scared of the obstacles but didn't have a panic attack. So cool.

I think I will tie Pony to the rail and try to groom him a bit today.

I am going to the senior center for the big sale today. Yeah, kind of boring but one of my neighbors invited me and I like to know my neighbors:)

I hate the black locust trees... huge ginormous thorns of evil!!:evil: they like to jump out at you!!! We cut them down cuz they hurt... older folks on blood thinners don't need them in their yards.

Hi Celti....you have just given me an idea, lol. Black locust and Hawthorn....soon to be my new property line! The more evil the thorns are, the better! :sneaky::laugh: Good to see you checking in!

Terry, it was good to hear from you and know Rave is OK. I don't know about everyone else, but I missed you guys.
I'm sooo with Sandy on this, I have been thinking of asking about these two, but as usual, it takes me a while to get myself to actually start a post. It is easier for me to reply to what someone else posted. I know it's not very polite or sociable of me, but hopefully everyone understands...at least for the time being. Dealing with the situation with my tree being hacked up, it made me realize that I'm hiding out too much, IRL and online, so I need to work harder on it.

Thanks Sandy. It's good to know somebody cares.

We love ya Terry, we are just shy. Seriously though, I figured you have been busy with your place, and having fun with Rave, but again, I never said anything, so I am sorry.

Sturgeon can get pretty big and scary looking. The first time I saw one I was a little girl and my Dad brought one home from ice fishing....it scared me, I thought it was a dinosaur fish. I don't know how big it was, but it was BIG, like a couple of feet long or more. I just looked it up and those suckers can get up to eight feet long/800 pounds in the lakes! I always remember that fish when we go to the lakes. *Jaws theme*

Any variety of locust also makes great firewood. Very, very low smoke and creosote.

Ours are, definitely, black locust and have some thorns, but they're 50 or 60 feet tall and the thorns are well above the level where they can be bumped in to. They look pretty in spring when they bloom as well.

I love my black locust. Very thorny and fast growing. Black locust bark is toxic to goats and horses.

I like my silver buffalo berries. The thorns are low enough to the ground to keep people from wandering through them. There is a variety of buffalo berry native to the Plains which might be more suited to your area.

Good Sunday to everyone! :)

I don't know that I will plant locust after all, I don't want to tempt him with more good firewood. We have tons of oak stacked in the pole barn, we had to do some coordinating in there to make room, but it's safe from theft now. We managed to get all but two of the cut surfaces on the tree covered with sealer. We are aching! *crossing fingers*

We have a lot of 'russian olive' growing around here, they are pretty thorny as well, but they only grow where you don't want them. I'm thinking of finding some small ones and see if they will grow on that side...there isn't much sun that gets through to the ground level. That, or the psychotic wild rose bushes that pop up where you don't want them. I will look into the buffalo berry as well, Lizzie, thank you.

It was kind of cool here, too, today. It didn't even get to 65. I spent the afternoon harvesting the new, bumper crop, of leaves. I didn't even get the whole front done. Being that there are so many I've got to go slow or the chute clogs up, which means stopping and cleaning it out (read as shoulder deep in a nice, dusty, six inch tube). When I built the mulch pen I though it was big enough at 12 by 20 feet...should have gone bigger.
