Veterans Day - May we all find peace.

26 degrees but no wind and no snow!

I heard back from the breeder that she is very busy and will answer my questions soon. Hoping to have a puppy lined up for spring. I am so lonesome without a corgi.

Have to clean a house later today.

The farrier called and wants to come on Friday but I have a cleaning job so we shall see. Also need to let him know there is a new Pony here.

I heard from another breeder who has wonderful outdoorsy looking corgis with lots of tri-colors. The puppies are $1000 not $1000 and up like the other breeder. They both look like good breeders. How will I choose?

Puppies may be here in late December and we could have a puppy by the end of February or we might have to wait for another puppy in the spring depending on the litter size since she already has four deposits on that litter.

Also, we wanted a male, if possible, since Penny was a girl and we are not trying to replace Penny, who is irreplaceable.

Can you visit and meet the puppies? I think, if you find one that appeals to you, that will be your decision. I think, from now on, if I ever get pets again, I'll wait for them to come to me. My best pets have been the ones that found me, not vice versa.

Both breeders say we can visit the puppies when they are born and hit about 6 weeks old. That way they are developing personalities already. Both breeders say we can make an appointment to visit their kennel any time, no problem.

I think, although I am not positive, we will go with the breeder who has a better deposit of $100 vs. $300 [also better pricing at $1000 instead of $1000 to $1500] and they are way closer to us. That makes it much easier to go see the puppies. We really like the look of their male dog and the females, as well. And they are raised on a small cattle ranch and the lady is retired so she has plenty of time to spend with the puppies.

I am adamant that I will not buy a puppy I have never seen from a kennel I have never been to. I will not have a puppy shipped to me. If I can't meet the mother, at least, and see where the puppies have been raised, I will not get a puppy!

A corgi did find us once at the four corners but we couldn't get him into the car. I hope his owners found him. That was a real fluke since there aren't that many corgis running around.

I have my heart set on another corgi since I love that breed so much. Hubby says it is okay with him. So, although other pets may find me, the next pet will be a corgi and we will have to pay for him.

Good morning, Voltmaniacs.

I have an email in to the breeder in California to see if she does any genetic testing. If she does not, I may have to go with the breeder in Southern Oregon.

I am up way too early!

The water co-op meeting is tonight. Let's see how this goes.

It is a chilly 21 degrees out there, brrrr!

moanin', Voltatillians.

It's another damp, dreary, morning but not cold at all, in the mid 50's. It rained Monday and sprinkled yesterday. Today a front is coming through with more rain and it's supposed to cool down a little. The big thing will be the wind on Friday and Saturday. Let's see if that gets rid of some of the leaves or brings even more to the party.

I agree with you, Lizzie. Seeing where/who the puppy comes from is a key to figuring out what's really going on. Even then, it's somewhat of a crap shoot. Any pet can have problems that don't appear until they get a little older. Bo looked like he was fine, the breeder looked great and we still talk to her, but he developed some problems that really couldn't be foreseen. He's still our "little boy" and we wouldn't do anything differently, even with hindsight.

Morning people. Very sunny here.

Now this is insanity on it's finest. I mean quality crap.
Today the government supports a general strike in the country agains't ITSELF!! Against measures that THEY voted.
Tell me do you have so good politicians like ours? Guess not.

Our politicians are even better than yours, Trit. They want to cut Social Security while they spend more than half of our countries money on "defense" funding. Geez, we spend far more money on the military than any other country and they want even more money.

Well, a new wrinkle in the puppy search. Hubby found a friend of a coworker who has Australian cattle dog/corgi crosses. He's finding out more today.

Yeah, I'm hesitant to spend a bunch of money because dogs are a crap shoot and I don't want to spend unwisely.

Tritium, politicians the world over are all the same. They get to the point where they believe their own lies, and that's a basic qualification. Couple that with a public that is more concerned with Dancing With the Stars, YouTube and Twitter and insanity reigns supreme.

Bo is the first pure bred I've owned, all the others in my life were mutts. The mutts seemed to be much more "indestructible" in terms of health, could eat anything, never got sick and just kept going like the Energizer Bunny to the very end. Bo's had all kinds of problems, health related. Actually the worst thing was the torn ACL when he was a pup. That's making it harder and harder for him to take long walks or do any serious running, and that bothers me a lot. He does like to play, but we have to be careful with how rambunctious it gets.

Just as an FYI:

"You" never know what Ya' might find at a shelter when "You" decide to add to "Your" Family . . .The last "Family" member I was very lucky enough to adopt was a pure breed "English Cocker Spaniel" that was visiting a no kill shelter at the time that no one wanted (was actually there for a few weeks) - until I came along . . . He was perfect in every way . . . Just Sayin' . . .

BTW: There was also some other pure breeds available there too . . . SO - Think about checking out a shelter before buying - Ya' just might find a "Corgi" or 2 . . .;)

Oh and here is a picture of "Muffin" . . .

Mwaha haaaa i cought a punk kid neighbour an hour a go.
The past two months i've seen all kinds of garbage like tissue paper and matchboxes all over the parking place where neighbours and i park our motorcycles and two cars.
I was thinking someone might be eating something here at night and throws the garbage here but there was no other wrapping, he was doing this almost every day.
I even turned the radar on my scooter in case someone comes near by it would alert me on the remote. Nothing. It has to be from above but there are at least 5 houses around.
Two hours a go i came back from the stable and went home, an hour later my boss called me to help him to unload fome food for the horses.
When i got to the scooter there was another crumbled tissue paper ON the scooter (i was ...... *&%@$!^@#), took the hood out, went a meter back and looked up. Then i saw the piece of paper falling in front of me. Found him, a 13-14 year old kid throwing all that.
If it was a grown man i would destroy his face. Then i started "IS THIS THE HOUSE YOU ARE RAISED IN?" "Do you want to pick them all up one by one?" " Are you serious Bro?" At first he wanted to deny it but when i told him you threw it in front of me he did shut up. One or two neighbours have seen me yelling too.

Needless to say when i came back 45min later there wasn't a SINGLE piece of trash on the parking place.

Stupid kids, but i blame mostly their parents, i pray he comes to ask me anything and i will TORTURE him.
