Good morning, Voltpeeps.

I slept in late today! I have a load of hay coming about noon so my goal is to have the house cleaned and the yard picked up by noon. A coworker has some grass hay he isn't using since he switched to alfalfa. His horses were looking thin. He really works his horses and they needed the extra calories. My horses don't need extra calories and they get plenty of time to eat:)

It is going to turn hotter so Hubby helped me get the misting system strung up last night. I already had it hooked up but we wanted to put up some brackets to hold it out from the shade cover a bit. I need to get a couple of photos of the place as soon as the rest new patio furniture is put together. It looks so good.

I also have some new shade cloth and a bag of grommets. I hope I can do this project!!!!! I've never done grommets before.

Hopefully the next couple of days will be in the mid-seventies. Tomorrow I am taking Wiseguy driving. I hope he does okay on a trail that my have bicycles and joggers.

The first turtle I have seen this year! It just came out of hibernation. Poor thing looked like it felt rough. It had mud all over it, and was breathing hard. I found it coming across the road to my yard for water. So I brought him/her to one of my springs for some good clean water :) I just love turtles!

My orange lillies are getting ready to open up!

The turtle is so cool. I think you can imagine that we don't have turtles here in our desert. No tortoises either. They live in the southern part of the state.

The Asiatic lilies are bright. I just ove them. I got three this year. I put them in some pots but I will be replanting them in one of the flower beds this fall.

Thanks for the photos.

How are you doing, Wuzz?

It really didn't take much "ambition" or work. The case was already machined, complete with buttons, and all the board needs is a 510 and a power source. Solder a total of three wires, drop the board in the case and it's done. The "time consuming" part was drilling out the screw holes for the magnets and waiting a day for the JB weld to harden. The ones I've done previously, DNA200 and DNA40, were way more labor intensive and time consuming.
You techie types amaze me.

Sitting down, facing forward.
Tritium, take some ibuprofin and a hot toddy, then get under the covers and sweat it out!

Mrs. Awsum was off today and we did some work outside, weeding. Jeesh, it was hot out there. She was in the shade and I ended up in the sun, most of the time. Our "morning" session only lasted about two hours. We did get back out there this afternoon, after lunch and a nap, for another hour though. Still lots of weeds to pull. Why is it weeds grow so well and grass is problem?

75 should be plenty anyway. One of my favorite mods is a 40 watt. I think you know which one lol.

Yep, weeds gonna win the war even though I have won a few battles.

Good morning, Voltpeeps.

I am pretty much ready for our mini horse drive. Starts at ten but I will leave at 8am so I have plenty of time to get there, get some parking and get some help removing the cart from the back of the truck. I told them I was bringing home made potato salad but ended up buying from the grocery store. I was tired.

The weather is perfect. 77 for the high. not much wind.

Wish me luck. I hope there aren't too many weird new things for Wiseguy to freak out about. I hope bicyclists are polite. We shall see how this goes.

Hubby is off to cut firewood. He is doing an overnighter.

I have big plans for bake in the oven tempura shrimp, frozen peas and rice. Can't get easier than that for dinner:)

Have a great holiday weekend!

evenin', Voltatics.

How is your cold doing, Tritium?

Still wondering how Rave is doing.

How'd the horse drive go, Lizzie? By the way the weed killer I got was Yard Works Super Weed and Grass control. GroundWork 50% Super Weed & Grass Killer, 40 fl. oz. - For Life Out Here
Again, it doesn't work as fast RoundUp and such but it does work and should keep working longer (I hope).

I sort of took the day off today. Did laundry this morning and a quick 'touch-up" vacuum job of the whole house. When I painted the fence, last fall, I took the flag mount down to paint. Before I put it back I wanted to make a metal back plate for it because the end of the pole was wearing notch into the gate post. It turned into one of those "round tuit" projects. I did cut and shape a plate out of some 1/8" steel but never got around to painting it until last week. The flag is back up, finally.

Sorry @Uncle. I've been waiting for Rave to do an update but her right hand is still useless so my bad.

I don't remember where I left off. :?: I'll just go back as far as I can remember.

She was told that she could get a cortisone shot at emergency because she couldn't wait until mid June so she went and they wouldn't do it. They said there were too many joints. Well yeah, it's her spine. :grr: So they gave her a cortisone infusion and a prescription for Prednisone. Prednisone is nasty stuff so they only gave her a few pills to take after the infusion wore off in 4 days. The dr thought there was some kind of pain cycle going on and the infusion would hopefully break that cycle. It did but she took the Prednisone after it wore off because she was hurting again but not as bad. Whew! This is a lot to remember. Then she went shopping with her BF. It was her 1st non medical outing and she was really happy about getting out of the house. Her BF's back was hurting him so he pushed the cart and Rave used her cane with her right/useless hand. On the way out of the store she fell. Her right leg gave out and she couldn't support herself with the cane because of her right/useless hand. The next day her back was worse than ever but she bounced back quickly. Then she went through Prednisone withdrawals for a couple days. Her BF told her how to get rid of the withdrawals but she didn't say how. So...the cycle is broken but she is still in alot of pain but I think it's manageable. I haven't talked to her for a couple days so I don't know if there has been any new developments.
