Hiya Folks! Thanks for giving them the update Terry. Saves me a lot of typing which I've been avoiding as much as possible. Here's the thing: I am normally very reclusive. When I don't feel well, I become an absolute hermit. Communication is kept to a bare minimum because I go into wounded animal mode. Things haven't been right for months now. My leg makes it difficult to navigate even the length of my house without extreme pain. I can't walk in my woods. Although I am off of the painkillers and Prednisone, I'm still on hyped up doses of both of my anti-seizure meds. Sooo ... I have to sleep a lot. Since I am Friends with nearly all of you on FB where I can update almost everyone in one fell swoop, I've been remiss here. Although I post even there very rarely, I will update on anything of any importance.

My right hand is still basically useless with no grip. Can't even manage the weakest tweezers. It has been my conclusion that buttons, scissors, baggies and zippers are instruments of the devil. Even controlling my computer mouse is an act of sheer will and exhausting. I also can't grip my cane and have fallen twice since I was released from the hospital. The latest time was in the boat on the vacation to Reelfoot Lake in Tennessee. Guess I punched out the boat trying to break my fall. So that injured hand is now all purple and even less helpful. On the bright side: It doesn't hurt cuz I can't feel it anyhow! An EMG for the hand is scheduled for the end of the month to determine the extent of the nerve damage. I also have an appointment with an orthopedic surgeon who will interpret the MRI of my entire spine. Fun times! But it could be worse. I'm grateful that it isn't. :)

Wuzz - my heart goes out to you and your bride. You are both in my thoughts. Hoping for the best.

Uncle - you are in my thoughts as well. I hope that you are recovering steadily from your surgery. This tragedy in Florida surely has you shaken to your very core. I'm so very sorry.

'evenin, Volties.

So nice to see you, Rave, and I really hope the future gets a little brighter, really fast, with all those bumps in the road. Also nice seeing a young person pay the violin that well. My sister tortured one for a few years and my ears never recovered. Hearing that makes up for it all.

Nice seeing you, too, Jerry. Good to see you're still hanging around.

So far, the new TC mod for Mrs. Awsum is a hit in all respects. We'll see how it does over the next few days, that'll be the acid test. When I showed her how to refill the tank, I think she fell in love.

The replacement for the "bridge" of the weather station came today and what should have been a twenty minute setup turned into a three hour project. I ended up in "chat" with their tech support, finally, and with some luck and a few reboots of the new console, got it working properly. So you can now check out the weather in the Jersey suburbs, once again, at Weather Underground KNJSOUTH36.

Feel like I should post something ... more uplifting. This amazing artist makes me smile. His talent is incredible! And I love the way that he plays to the camera.

Absolutely stunning, Thank you for that Raven.

Keep up the good attitude!!! I am hopeful that you will keep improving.

I don't have your name for Face book but you can message me and I would be happy to follow your progress on facebook. I'll give you my name.

This is what we've been watching, kind of therapeutic. Scroll down for the live camera.

Current Litter

I'm partial to the brindle color, so I hope you get one of those. Still, personality is much more important than color, so get the pup you like best on a gut level.

'moanin, Voltaticalytes.

Yeah, those puppies are cute. We've been watching them for about three weeks and they sure have grown. By the time they're a year old they'll probably be well over 100 pounds. I just stumbled on them looking at Boerboel breeders and we've kind of "adopted" them as they're growing. We're not getting one of these, we have a different breeder. We are kind of set on a fawn or red color, but personality will be the governing criteria.

Watching them does give a really good idea of how much work a litter of pups can be. The constant "poop patrol" duties must get pretty old, pretty fast. The bedding gets changed, completely, at least twice a day and "bad spots" get replaced as needed. That has to be a load or two of laundry every day.

The other day one of the brindle ones managed to climb out of the whelping box but couldn't get back in. They've added a piece of plywood to raise the height of the access point. At first mama was coming in and letting them nurse at least twice a day. Then once a day and, now, they seem to be weaned.

We're hoping our breeder calls with good news of a litter on the way, soon.

Ugh I cannot look at puppies!!! I then get puppy fever and I'm miserable to be around for a couple weeks because I cannot have one. :sneaky::sneaky::sneaky: I'm a sucker for puppy breath.....:wub::wub:

Yes, and then when you get the puppy it is so much work!!!!! The constant "no don't touch that do play with this toy" was constant with the new terrier. Cash is growing up now and is 7 months old but still a handful! He still runs through the house. I've got a prize, I'm killing your clothing. Give that to me now play with your toy.

The puppies are adorable, awsum. Can't wait to see a photo of the puppy you pick out of the new litter.

Lots to do and less time to do it so after my coffee and chat, I will be getting outside.

The temp is going to be reasonable today at 78 degrees and going up everyday until the high for next week hits an incredible 100 degrees. Hoping that gets downgraded.

I have been picking up the yard of the usual culprits. Little things seem to gather out back like a 2x4, a plant bucket, etc.

I have started weeding again but fortunately, there isn't too much. Some tumbleweeds but not too many. I am very happy since all these years of pulling seeds seems to be paying off.

I'm ordering lumber online today and picking it up tomorrow. Hope this isn't a fiasco!!!! I don't want to have to stand there and pick out 60 boards and I am not lifting a finger at the store. The store peeps can do all the loading. I figure the 16 footers will hang out over the tailgate by about 6 feet. Should be safe to drive home. Of course, I'll need a red flag!

The yard is beautiful this year. I should take some time out to do a few photos.

Thinking about you and DW, Wuzz.

Rave, Wuzz, Uncle and everyone else having difficulties are in my thoughts as well.

Lizzie, I hope you're getting something other than 16s in that load. You'll need some weight, substantial weight, up on the cab end or the whole load will slide out on a bump. All it takes is a little tilt and away it goes. Pick-up-sticks and lifting more than a finger time. Lots of ratchet straps will help, too.

I'm getting 40 2x6x16'. I'm also getting 20 twelve foot 2x6's. And 30 concrete pavers. So, 5 layers of 2x6x16', 3 layers of 2x6x12", then 10 stacks of three blocks each of the 12" concrete pavers. Hoping that will be enough to stabilize the load!!!! Also, will have ratchet straps that I can wrap around the tailgate and the boards. It is a full size 3/4 ton Chevy with a 454 engine so Hubby and I are sure it won't be too heavy of a load.

What do you think? Otherwise, I have an 8 foot trailer with high sides but that is a lot of leaning boards on the plywood sides so I think the truck would be better.

I did a cube of concrete blocks in an F250 one time. Felt like I was floating going down the road and it felt like the manual steering was suddenly "Cadillac" style power steering, really light in a turn. It should handle the weight, just go slow! If you could bind the lumber together you could unload by backing up and stopping short. Unloading like that is an art unto itself though.
