Im going to say he's refereng to a micrometer.
Yeppers, it's short for micrometer.
Grantah, I purchased my CE3's from Vapor Alley, I believe they sold out this weekend though.
I have been using these CE3's for about 2 weeks now and here are a few things I've noticed:
1) Filling: I have no issues with them leaking if I invert and shake the juice away from the wick/base. Vape inverted 2-3 hits to dry the wicks slightly then fill with the syringe (
still inverted) leaving "
at least" 1/8-3/16" air gap.
It may seem like a ritual, but I noticed that leaving the wicks wet & any juice hanging around the base gets pushed out. As the juice fills the tube, the air inside the tube will push out through the wicks and take the juice with it. It may have something to do with pressure or some type of vacuum effect, but you will have a mess.
I've also tried to remove the top seal and filling it like a CE2, again the pressure/vacuum effect will have juice running everywhere.
2) The Vape: I call it a 'clean' vape as it is a dryer and a slightly cooler vape compared to the CE2's.
I haven't gotten any juice in my mouth and that's a big plus in my book.
Out of 8 clearos, I had 1 that was giving me what I call 'wick nose'. It was producing good vapor, but I could tell that the wick was getting hot causing my nasal area to act up as if I was sniffing lemon juice. (It's the best way I can describe it...lol)
When I dismantled the CE3, I noticed that one side of the wick was significantly shorter and it was barely sticking out. I believe this was the cause. I thought about pulling it to see if it would help, but I continued with the disassembly instead.
3) Taste: The juice is spot on, much like using a atomizer with a long drip tip. Again, it's not as moist as with the CE2's, but the flavor is definitely there and you don't get juice in your mouth either. Also the juice doesn't get thick/dark as you vape like the CE2's, therefore the taste seems consistent throughout.
4) Voltage: It might be that these are still fairly new, but they seem to be more sensitive to voltage adjustments compared to the CE2's. I can adjust the volts in .1 increments and taste the difference within 1-2 hits. Time will surely be the tell all here.
5) Draw: The draw is 'very' airy to me, almost to airy. I tried one on my KGO with the large bore cone in a attempt to stiffen it. Well, it did, but it also started gurgling. Since these devices seem to work with pressure/vacuum, attempting to adjust the draw may also affect performance. (I don't like gurgling and vapor production seemed to decrease also.)
Slow long drags seem to be in order for this device.
They also need a break in period, 1-2 fillings before they start to perform seemed to be standard.
I haven't found them in 808 threading yet, so I've been using them with my 510 devices for now.
Ok, now for the disclaimer....lol.
YMMV, but I say they are worth a try. Nothing ventured, nothing gained
Edit: You also get to watch a little bubble action as you vape and will develope a habit with shaking them. I'm not sure if it's to watch more bubbles or to insure it doesn't vapor lock on you, but I can't stop.
