Morning gang. Google says that is a European Robin, or at least the UK version.

Wow! Looks to be much smaller than our robust ones. :)

Maybe our american robins are more of the larger, renegade type in nature...they can be rather aggressive when guarding their nesting area [emoji15] I've seen them send other birds turn tail and scramble. Lol

There you are "birthday girl". Got special plans for today? :)

Steaming hot coffee! That and one of those foil covered round things from last night's birthday cake box will do just fine. Won't even need the sugar cube. Thanks, Dale. :)

I happen to be off work today [emoji4] MIL is taking me out for lunch and hubbs is taking me out for dinner. This past Sunday, the kids and grandkids showed up at the house to cook a lovely meal and they had a chocolate cake it tow [emoji2]

Here is a pic of both daughters, our sudanese son, MIL, grandkids and of course hubbs and myself. Daughter on the left is expecting her second. [emoji2]

Hey, Angel. :) Your family must have had a lot of June marriages? Ha!
Ha! Yeah you'd think so, but nope...except for my mom, none of us were first borns.

Got to come home early today because there's supposed to be really bad weather coming our way. They dismissed all schools early, the Courthouse even closed early and they hardly ever do that...so my boss texted me early and told me to leave at noon. That allowed me to go get my grocery shopping done and get home ahead of the weather.

    Happy Happy Birthday mommabird!!!

    :banana::banana::banana::bday::banana::banana::banana:

Such a beautiful family picture and so fun that they came to cook for you. With chocolate in hand, no less! You trained them well! lol Hope you enjoyed your lunch and have a fabulous dinner!

Ms.C - he is sooo cute! What perfect timing for him to fall into your laps. I was thinking you needed a baby. ;) Have you picked a name?

The UK's robins are so cute, dale!
I haven't seen one here yet. Good thing. It's been snowing all day. Huge temp drop from what's it been. I've got flowers that are sending up new spring leaves! Even have a viola blooming. Silly plants. It's only February!

Angel - what kind of storms are you supposed to have??? No tornadoes! No no no. Those scare me to death.:shock::shock:

Hey chilicat - how are you liking your first pair of stretchy pants?

There won't be any tips tonight. Doug has been working on special orders and getting tips set up for me to work on instead. Which I better go do so he can start on them tomorrow. :D

I've seen Robins here, have Daffodils blooming, the Forsythias have tried to bloom 3 different times this "so called" winter and tomorrow we expect ... drum beat ....

    SNOW!

Well they say tornadoes are potential...mostly lots of lightening, hail, and heavy winds...they're predicting up to 60mph. So far have only seen a little rain, but according to the radar it's on the way.

Tornadoes always scared me too...I grew up in mid and north Alabama and we used to have horrible tornadoes there...I used to panic every time the sky turned dark after having watched a tornado go right by my house...I remember lying in the hallway and being able to see out the window in my room and watching the sky turn green and then the funnel cloud going by...lucky for us it was just a small one and cause very little damage to the farm, but that gave me a healthy respect for those kinds of storms....Of course after having lived through hurricanes, namely Katrina, tornadoes no longer really bring fear...I've seen so much worse.

Welp, looks like a few of us are in for some long, anxious hours. Good time to find a good, sturdy "hidey hole". :(

Edit to add: Dale, youngest lives just outside of Memphis and told me today that they are expecting snow as well. She was running a couple days ago in a t-shirt and shorts.
