You guys can have those Peeps but pass the jelly beans. I about made myself sick on Sweetart jelly beans. Bet they'll be on sale tomorrow!

Thanks all, we are very fortunate to live here and never take it for granted. We had a snow storm yesterday and today we have the windows and doors open.

Aw, sorry Dale...I'd happily share with you...hmmm, the way the USPS is though, might not be so good by the time it got there! o_O
    Uh, thanks anyway Angel :D

No traditional Easter dinner here either except deviled eggs. I did make Bierocks (German hamburger) also known as cabbage biscuits. Half of them will go in the freezer for a quick lunch.

Why, dang, looks like dinner all over again. Ha! Ms.C, those Bierocks do look enticing; and, Dale, you always come up with such interesting sweets. :) The top ones look like icing with sprinkles, but have no idea......

This morning I will boil a dozen eggs, not for Easter but for hubby's monthly trip to Memphis to try to sell his pop's home. He loves his hard boiled eggs and the only time he allows himself some. This time hopefully (Please cross your fingers!) it's sold after 3 yrs. fixing, repairing and "open houses" and making that monthly 6 hr. trip. The market in Memphis has been awful for many years and just starting to come back plus it didn't help that there were a lot of houses in the neighborhood foreclosed on. So! Wish us well. It will be ever so nice to stop those monthly Memphis trips after 14 yrs......the first 11 to see to the care of FIL......This is the part of growing old that no one talks about. No one ever said anything about........stamina! Ha! :)

It was! It was waiting for me! :) Kayte, you needn't have worried about a duplication of a tip already in my collection. Green Purple/Purple Green is its very own self and both colors really do match perfectly the Sangria and the light Harlequin green ProVaris. I took the mods and tip outside in sunlight to be absolutely sure and couldn't be more pleased. Going to have to give this tip extra lovin' since it took me so long to realize I should really own it.

Kayte, hope you and Doug didn't freeze your "tookuses" off yesterday at the picnic and had scrumptious eats and lots of laughter.

Hey Chooch! Good luck on the sale of the house in Memphis! Steve and I left Memphis in 1986 and we were lucky to make the move when we did. Got my fingers crossed for you!
Mr. Chili loves hard boiled eggs which is a blessing since I was too sick to go see the kids yesterday. I actually called in sick today for the first time in the last ten years of teaching! It felt strange to do so but I am feeling so much better!
Ms.C, those German burgers look sooooo good!
I hope everyone is having a wonderful day!

Thanks, Chili. :) First sick day in 10 yrs? Gad, seems to me you've probably accumulated enough to be "sick" an entire school yr.!

Since hubby was "on the road" thought to go ahead and do our tax report. Didn't guesstimate correctly during the yr. so owe for the first time in a few yrs. Why the increase? By tax code the latest you must start taking out of your IRA account is at 70 1/2 yrs. old or a pretty healthy IRS penalty is involved. No, no penalty for us. Although I did increase the amt. not enough sent to IRS when took funds out of the acct.

IF the Memphis house is sold, I better do some fine calculations THIS yr. before next yr.'s report is due. Gawd, I dispise our income tax system! :(

Chili, it's good you're doing better, but be careful and not try to do too much too quickly. You must have a doozie of a cold to not join you grandchildrent yesterday AND lay low off work today......So, maybe some turkey soup today. Ha! :)

You are right Chooch! I actually have enough leave accrued to take off three days a week all next school year!
And soup has been on the menu for the past four days! My taste buds are ready for a big juicy cheeseburger and onion rings! I think tomorrow calls for a date night with hubby and a trip to Diary Queen!

I'm glad to hear you're feeling better chili! Cheeseburger with onion rings should take care of any lingering ick! Yum!

Ms. C, those whatchamacallems look and sound delicious. I wouldn't object to munching on one and staring out the window from your sons house for an afternoon. Nope. Wouldn't mind an afternoon like that in the least! Stunningly beautiful!

Qew, those painted eggs are so fun! I'll be decorating eggs with grandkids sometime this week. I think. I'm planning waaay fewer eggs, but done more artistically. I hope we can turn out at least one that looks that pretty!

Our Easter has gotten spread out over another week this year. My daughter has had two bugs going through the house for the last month. (REALLY hoping they'll all be well this weekend! They've had a respiratory flu and stomach flu. Ick! Caleb managed to get pneumonia again and last I heard, Jaden has the stomach bug now. :( )

Our picnic Sunday was nice! We went to that with our son and his family... along with daughter in laws family. The weather was perfect for it. Others were cold, but they chose to sit in the shade. Silly people. Ha! The sun was warm. :)

Yesterday my daughter had a tea party photo shoot for a bunch of little girls over here. It's going to take me a year to get all the glitter out of here. I've managed to keep MY glitter contained, but they sure didn't! I mopped the bathroom floor last night and nope... still sparkling like crazy. The kitchen is coated in the stuff, too. lol They were all dressed in white and gold dresses (with lots of glitter) and she had the genius idea to get gold glitter hair spray and doused them (and my house) with it. :sneaky: But... they had a great time and the photo's will make it worth it, right? :glare:

I WILL have tips this evening. 6pm... as usual. :)
