Hello all my dear Mountaineer family.
Leaving out for Adams Run early in the morning and going into Charleston tomorrow night. I wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

I've had a busy day and am sooo ready for a nap. Having a hard time keeping my eyes open.
I've got a couple of girlies here today, so that would be a bad plan.
I did get the tree up and decorated before they got here today.
I have a few tips for this evening so see you then!

Thought you had them on Tues. and one on Thurs., Kayte. You doin' double duty? ......I blew off the back deck and a load of wash....Does that count? Ha! How do you decorate a tree in a couple of hours?!
Tues. and Wed. normally... if no one is sick. I don't do sick kids. Today was special so they could take Evie to the ballet.
Doug dug the tree out last night and put it up for me. All I had to do was put everything on it. I only used red and white (and clear acrylic) this year. Red and white lights, white pearl garland, with red and white ornaments. (Lots of birds. )
I don't do near the amount of decorating that I used to do. Mostly because I don't want to undo it.
Now that the tree is up, I need to get started wrapping. Are you all done?
The girls just walked out the door. Might have just enough time to eat some dinner.

Half our basement storage area is filled with Christmas decorations and I was one of those that would start decorating right after the Thanksgiving turkey was put up. No more. Last tree put up was last Christmas FIL was alive and spent the holidays here 4 yrs. ago. He slept through most of it. Kids seem to "make" the Christmas season.
