Cappy is a master!

Yeah, I'm putting an RM2 on mine, it arrived yesterday thanks Capt' B, but I haven't had time to get it going. I did try the Nuppin', no dice even with the center-post extended, so that went on a different B-F. My Cruiser does look sweet :p photos tomorrow, I still have a few things to finish tonight.

Almost forgot, yours looks sweet too :toast:

Yep, if you cut the mounting wings off, then a DNA40 is the same size as a 20 or a 30. It however, the wiring locations are slightly different and it wants heavier wire for the power connections (18 gauge is recommended). I love mine, but more than a few people seem to be having problems with them.

The problems are what? I'm guessing it's particular about coil builds for it to work right. I have to say it's an interesting chip and the builds are right in my alley, but i imagine it's asking a lot for regulated mod users to suddenly build coils like old-hand mech users.

Thanks!

I would have sworn I submitted one last year, but I didn't see it, so it has just been submitted. Sorry about that Cappy.

Thank you for looking into alternative 510s. I have read other comments about FD not really understanding bottom feeding so maybe you can enlighten them.

Damn, it's bed time!

If a review is given using the mod that was sold, as soon as the listing is deleted the review goes away too. I can't move or modify reviews so they are lost.

The link above is to a page I made just for reviews that never goes away.

Yes, the FD atties are far from perfect, but I'm willing to give them another look-see if he can make some changes I recommended for bottom feeders. If not, then business as usual but perhaps I will mill them down flush by request again.

Night all!

I have weeks of building before I will need regulators and I am trying to keep informed on how well the 40's are performing. I don't have to use the 40's, I can always use 30's but I will keep an open mind and decide when it is time. I will not use them if they are having issues.

My point was that in order to use the temperature control feature of the new DNA, it's possibly a huge jump for people that use regulated devices. The idea of them was you can build a "roughly in the region" coil and alter the power and that was always the advantage of chip-controlled devices.

I'm a mech user, so over time i have become very accurate at making my coils, indeed i regard mech mods as variable resistance (versus variable volt/wattage offerings). Ross can make great coils too and i think it underpins everything, but it makes things a lot harder and a lot more expensive and frustrating for new vapers if you have to.

If i had some skin in it - i'd go with the DNA 30s. It's not necessary to try and compete with 100W box mods, because the things you make are unique. Mods are not a matter of electrical power only, because if they were, i'd be vaping a 12v motorcycle battery.

I'd settle for a DNA20, I have mucho Kanthal & Nichrome, don't need to buy more wire... Waiting patiently, :vapor:
