Yea there is not many atties out there with adjustable pin especially when it comes to bf ones...
Captain did a very good job on milling the catch cup on my cruiser almost flash with the mod bit more and itll hit the mod which i dont wanna do :(
Now that im thinking it might be an option to take off like 1/2 mm of the mod along with the catch cup at 23,5 mm diameter and refinish the wood thats been shaved off any atty would fit perfectly , what do you think?

I would do it myself, but that's me. A belt sander, some sandpaper for finish sanding, a clear coat, and you're good to go.

I think that we have to keep in mind that RSM's were made with the smaller 14mm RDA in mind. I think it's great that Capt' is trying to accommodate the 22mmRDA market. Yes an adjustable 510 connection or a 23mm catchcup would definately solve the problem, but I understand from a business point of view it has to meet his standards. I sure if we give him time he will find a solution that fits both the needs and standards of RSM.

What seems simple to us may not be what fits the bill. Just my :2c:

Keep up the good work Capt'. I look forward to the next batch! :toast:

I have weeks of building before I will need regulators and I am trying to keep informed on how well the 40's are performing. I don't have to use the 40's, I can always use 30's but I will keep an open mind and decide when it is time. I will not use them if they are having issues.

Hi Capt'!
Is it possible to mount a DNA 30/40 on a Cutlass DNA12?

Ahoy, happy Monday me 'earties!

Milling tops.....

I could mill the catch cups and top of a mod down until I was even with the top of the 510 connector. That is as far as I can go and it sounds like that is what I need to start doing.

I sent a large e-mail to FD with questions and suggestions but the reply I got did not address any of them so I am assuming there will be no changes forthcoming. This means I will not be using them as I would have to try and modify them myself and my metal working tools are not good enough for that kind of thing.

What about selling varied doors to contrast with the body? $$$$

That's been asked before. Unfortunately each mod is sanded by belt sander to flush the doors to the sides and bottom of the mod. I also hand sand the door to fit in the body with just enough play to slide on and off without too much gap.

There can be quite a bit of difference in thickness's of the door panels so I don't see how I could do this and send people a door that would actually fit correctly. Luck may make it fit close enough, but I can't operate that way. Sorry.

Hmm, maybe. There might be enough room but it would be tricky. I would be willing to try if the dna12 mod was broken, but I would hesitate doing it to a functioning mod as I just might ruin it and then be liable for replacement.

Hey cappy the catch cup is even with the 510 I don't think it can be brought down any further, right? If you were to grind it down more, there would be more of a gap between the atty and the mod?

Exactly right. Once it's even with the top of the 510, there is no reason to go any further.

My catch cup is almost flush with the threaded ring of the 510. It's about 1mm below. The center pin down inside is deeper than my other 510s. Not sure if you can tell from the photo compared to one of my Reos 510s.

Is it the way the pic came out or is your catch cup all stainless steel? Mine looks like a rubber washer base of the cup?

I usually get my 510 connectors from Libery Flights, but they were all out so I got them from Madvapes. I suppose there is some variation between the makers in China but even ordering from the same supplier I get slight variations from order to order of the supposedly same hardware.

It's just the black paint the catch cup was originally covered in.
