My point was that in order to use the temperature control feature of the new DNA, it's possibly a huge jump for people that use regulated devices.The idea of them was you can build a "roughly in the region" coil and alter the power and that was always the advantage of chip-controlled devices.
I'm a mech user, so over time i have become very accurate at making my coils, indeed i regard mech mods as variable resistance (versus variable volt/wattage offerings). Ross can make great coils too and i think it underpins everything, but it makes things a lot harder and a lot more expensive and frustrating for new vapers if you have to.
If i had some skin in it - i'd go with the DNA 30s. It's not necessary to try and compete with 100W box mods, because the things you make are unique. Mods are not a matter of electrical power only, because if they were, i'd be vaping a 12v motorcycle battery.
