I tried one of the magnets on the bottom/positive contact and it works perfectly! That must be an older one huh, because I don't have a spring on the positive side.... I don't see why the flat top Sony vtc5's aren't working by themselves...... it looks like it makes perfect contact w/o the magnet? Oh well as long as it works..... I was curious about the solder that someone used.... I'd like to see how much and where to add solder?

Edit : oh I see .... You added solder to the upper / negative contact? Right?

That is correct , i just dont like magnets :)

Ahoy all!

As there is no way there are going to be any mods done before the Holidays, here is a 15% discount on all Desk Caddies for the next week.

You will also still get your 10% in reward points making it like a 25% reward, best I can do my friends!

It will run from now until the 13th.

For 15% off on any desk caddy, use the code XMAS

Quite agree, were it an iron/steel mod. Wood is rather more forgiving. And so are some metals. I run magnets on flat-top Reo batteries and have for years. Magnet gets the pitting and gets thrown out eventually; the batteries remain in good shape.

If you try this in a steel tube mod, you will short it. So don't!

Ahoy all! Thanks for posting the pic Caveat, glad you like it!

Not much new here atm, busy doing desk caddies. Speaking of them, I've had a few requests now for larger holes in the 8 box caddy so it is now an option.

The 16 mm holes it originally had are too small for many of the new tanks I guess. I also added an option to directly select the 10 box option in the drop down menu. Now people don't have to leave a note in the comments during checkout to order the 10 box model.

Aside from desk caddies, not much new here that you all would find interesting, so take it easy and try not to stress out during the holiday season too much! Arrr

For those of you who have recently ordered desk caddies, I'm doing them in small batches so hopefully nobody will have to wait more than 3 days to see their orders shipped.

Later!

African Mahogany/ Walnut up & running, RM2 1.03 ohm coil & vaping Net.Com Rum Rebellion Tobacco like a champ. :vapor: :2cool:

Well, I'm glad you're up and running, I'm having the devil of a time getting some good vape going.

----

I've been using the A7 and A7 mini's for years but it seems this year that if I build all of them for around 2 ohms, half of them work like crap when I try them, some work good for a hour or three and only a couple of them will work fine for a week or two.

I guess the major complaint about them is the center conductor is wonky, but I dunno. Wonky center, wonky posts, wonky screws.... wish there were more options for bottom feed rebuildables. I also wish I would have paid more attention when you all talk about them on the thread.

I have a couple small rebuildables that have been sent to me over the last couple years, guess I need to press them back into service.

Funny, but you would think after 4 years of vaping my need for nicotine would have diminished. Not so! Man, I get antsy if I haven't had a vape for more than a half hour or so.

I'm taking the ordering of desk caddies and the milldown service offline for a while. I'm dealing with an arm injury at the moment that;s not getting better and need to immobilize my arm for a week or two ti let the tendons recover. yup, getting old sucks.

Every time i do work in the shop it aggrivates it again. pretty sureit must be tendonitis, arrr

Nothing major, just need to rest it up i'm sure.

Have a good one, i'll be around :)
