CATastrophe..... What color is that Reo in front, it looks gold..... Is it anodized, powder coated? ..... can you post another separate pic of just that Reo (maybe pm me if you don't want to show it here )
... I'm thinking about picking up another Reo with the new 510 connection......Thanks in advance!

Yiorgo, that is my first ever REO, old original style mini - takes a 14500. It's gold anodized and been in daily use since 2011. I'll PM a pic.

Capt oh capt...... I'm bringing this to the thread because I believe I need to be publicly flogged for insubordination..... So I've had issues with my cruiser in the past and cappy was nice enuf to fix it..... I don't know of this is common probably not but I not only cracked the wood surrounding the 510 I had the leaf spring replaced after it broke off.... Well cappy replaced it with a spring and leaf combo...... To which I have :lowering my head in shame:: broken the leaf again and the spring was working perfectly on its own but has just fallen out and I tried gluing it back in there but I'm not getting any power.......

So, since I'm publicly humiliating myself will you please charge me to repair my beloved cruiser........ Such bad luck coupled with horrific weather hot inside air to cold cold cold outside air.... a little bit of being too hard on my mods oh and pure stupidity ....has brought my to my knees begging for a repair??? Pretty please?

I have visions of this poor Cruiser sitting on the coffee table next to a fire place only to be snatched up, brought outside, accidentally dropped in the snow while shoveling the walk and then put on the dash of a car at 20 below zero while it warms up for work.

Well, I will do what I can for it and try to make it right again, send her on in at your convenience.

Do you own a metal REO? I am thinking that one of those might be able to handle the constant radical temp shifts much better than something made of wood. Just sayin.

------

Have a great week all, arrr

Been Shopping for a new Reo I have a vv grand but it under powered ... Metal is definitely more my speed for the winter months for sure...... I will send her in sometime this week.... I can't see buying anything as useful as this to only use it in the house. Cruiser is much lighter than the Reo much more comfortable..... But I should stop talking up your mods since you just said don't buy from me ..... Lmao!

Metal in winter is so cold to the touch.. so you abuse your mods and lay blame? Nice..

Ahoy all, been a few days, arrrrrr

I'm afraid I've lost my course over the last week and have been working on finalizing the build for the RSM mini mod that I've been talking about for the last couple batches. I decided I need to make a few of them to ensure they work. Prototypes are always a bit tricky even after all of the models I've designed over the last 4 years.

The Scallywag II will be about 3.4" tall, .9" deep and 1.7" wide. (Cruisers are 4" x 1" x 2")

It has room for a 3 ml bottle and 14500 battery. I will be making it a 6 amp mod as I see no reason to design a high amp model for the little battery. This is supposed to be a pocket mod or a backup mod when people don't want to carry a full size model.

I will be using the same push button the original Scallywag model had. It's small, looks and works great.

I've also realized that I messed around and wasted so much time ordering and testing spring loaded connectors and such that I need to push out a small batch of 3.7v mods to pay rent and finance a small batch of regulators for the batch I'm working on. So Cruisers and Scallywags are probably going to be up on the website in about a week? More delays, I know, sorry.

And a few pics....

Have a great week me 'earties, yo ho!

Been quiet here, been enjoying my Cruisers immensely, and the Cutlass is nice, but not one I reach for often. Nothing wrong with the craftsmanship of the Cutlass, but I've discovered I prefer the non-regulated devices much more.

I do wish the Scallywag was dual parallel 14500, as a single they're on the small side for taking on the road.

A dual would easily be done, but without the feeder bottle, what do you use? Dripper?

I could make one or two next time, no more or less work than the feeder is.
