and the SX330 v3 chip can apparently buck boost, according to YiHi's website

I think Kanger says that because the dna can put out WAY more wattage than the little kanger coil heads can handle.

I've run both my PT3 and my Aerotank on there no problem.... you just had to keep your wattage low enough that you don't roast your coil head. but even if you do, you're only out a buck. And you'll know if you do, because it starts to taste metallic-y and hurt your throat after about 3 hits.

Yeah, a little common sense can go a long way with a powerful variable wattage mod. More isn't always better with the replaceable coil units many popular tanks have. Starting out low and sampling my way up has served me well with the cloupor 30 so far.

Here ya go, single wire, dual 7/8 wrap 30g micro, 2mm diameter, .9ohms, (ignore the loop at the top, left it in case the binder nut loosened up, many who build ON the rda w/single wire will have the loop itself under the binder nut, i wrapped this using a jig).

Still a pretty ugly build but i'm too lazy to rebuild/pretty it up, right now. Many people who build verticals dont use top tails on their wicks, i see no harm, only benefits in using them personally. Like nearly all rdas you want the coils as close as possible to the airflow and this design seems to benefit from running the coils just a bit 'higher' on the airflow (ie the flow hitting the lower portion of the coil).

With the pile o' nasty:

Fresh "Rams Head" wick...lol:

Thanks! That looks pretty straight forward.

Hello guys :)
Can you tell me where can i buy this mod in Europe?
I found it in England but is a little expensive-70£ while in the USA will cost $ 70.
Thanks, sorry about my english and i hope that i am not breaking any rule with this question :)

Nearly positive they're not Cloupors, but Fasttech has some that should be relatively similar (if not the same) for around $56 in various colors, the initial reviews (at least on the black) seem relatively positive.

I'm assuming by manufacturer he means Cloupor, not Kanger. And you're right, if you're running a PT2 with a stock head you almost have to run it below the range where it can even regulate to avoid turning your coil from original recipe to extra crispy.

But if you have something like an Aero Mega running a rebuilt or factory low res coil, this goes out the window. I got what I felt was a very good vape on a Mega and the new style stock coils I used between 1 and 1.5 ohms.

I think the real issue is that 101 is getting a lot of return requests, many from Protank users who experienced problems with the early run, larger 510 connector. I'm one of them. My "anaH" is on its way back to 101 after a week of email back and forthing. Mine started having problems with intermittent shorts after about 10 days of use, and shortly after displayed the "Shorted" message permanently. I could have tried to fix the 510 on my own, but I expect (On my device at least) that I was going to have recurring issues. And while I can do a basic micro coil and cotton build on an RDA (Have a KFL+ I use at home), changing out a 510 wasn't something I wanted to tackle.

Bottom line, they've already had to exchange a number of these early units with the random firing and other problems, and I think the last thing they want to do is exchange more for users who ran into Protank related issues. They made that pretty clear with me, others with problems got prepaid labels, I was told to send mine in at my own expense. They agreed to replace it, with the caveat that they wouldn't if the problems with the unit were caused by the use of an "Incompatible device." Which I got a kick out of, since I'm looking at a copy of the product info page that came with the unit, and don't see any reference to Protanks (or any other particular devices) being incompatible or otherwise unsuitable for use on these things.

Oh, and I was told I might have to take a different color since they "Aren't expecting to have any black ones for a while." DaWut?!?

Anyway, that's my theory, based in part on my own experience. I'm hoping they do the right thing and exchange my early unit for one with the updated 510, which in and of itself says to me that Cloupor knew or quickly learned that these units were having problems with certain toppers and responded to that issue. But obviously that doesn't help anyone with a vendor who decides to play hardball with customers that have early production units fail after 2 weeks of use.

Fingers are crossed, we'll see what happens in the end. For everyone else, I don't see anything inherently wrong with using something like an Aero Mega or Nautilus/Mini with the new coil design, assuming you have the updated 510 connector. Yes it's overkill to do so and not what these boxes are all about, but I think there are at least some people out there like me who appreciate the convenience of BCCs while they're on the go, especially as they continue to get better and better in terms of flavor and vapor production.

But the message is sent, and expect it on their website soon if it's not there already. Whether you're a reckless noob or experienced vaper that knows not to jam a topper down on a 510, if you have a problem with your anaH and use Protanks, it's on you.

That explains why 101 wanted no part of the IPV boxes lol, i don't know how they can call a Pro Tank incompatible since it will work fine on these if you keep wattage down , they need to be very specific and list what they consider incompatible.

I can't think of anything that would be incompatible , if it screws down and fits it's compatible lol. 101 needs to suck it up , they are making tons of money and need to be on top of customer issues , it seems to me the issues are caused by maybe a lack of consistency and quality control issues mostly from earlier models .

If after sale care is too much of a hassle then don't jump in and offer pre order's until they have been on the market for awhile , oh, your worried about your competition getting the jump on you , well you better make sure you provide great after sale service then , this complaining and coming up with reasons it's the users fault just isn't going to work.

Regarding them offering you another color, thats common protocol if they don't have stuff in stock or are not getting anymore in and that apply's to just about all companies i'm aware of in all fields .

Actually many companies will say despite you buying your product brand new they can replace it with a refurbished model , now thats something i would be outraged over lol.

Unbelievably Clint sent me an awesome wrap , by wrapping skills need a lot of work though , Clint is an Angel for sure.
