i dont get what you dont understand, in simple words its doesnt provide what he shows on screen, example on picture, if you set it on 25W with 1,3ohm coil you get 21,8W not 25W. simple.

That is just a chart. Anyone can make a chart. There is no explanation. There is nothing about who or how this was done. It's just numbers on a chart. I can put numbers on a chart. The important part is who did this and how was it done. What equipment was used. That chart is worthless by itself.

Quick question...what is the battery life like on the vapor shark dna30? I fully intend on getting my hands on a dna30 device at some point. Was originally looking at going with the shark but the 1200 mah lipo battery really bothered me. After reading up on battery info, I definitely want a device that take 18650s. I'm trying to resist the urge to place an order for the cana mod right now.

Hey Joppa, sorry so late was not on last night. As far as the Vapor Shark I would say it all depends on what kind of Vaper you are.....in my experience, I am NOT a chain vaper and I do not drip much (a couple times a night just to try out new flavors) thus far the Vapor Shark last me all day and sometimes till the next morning I'm usually vaping around 12.5-15.0 occasionally 25+ if that helps you any....I can tell you that it HITS harder than any of the other 3 DNA clones that I have even at a lower wattage under 15....much harder hit from the VP.....hope this helps out a bit

Mine came from 101 round 2. Loving it so far. Favorite build so far is 1.6 ohms on an origen v2@27 watts. Great flavor and clouds.
Also wrapped it with a jwrap carbon fiber skin.

All these picture look amazing! IMO I like the look of the clones far more than the OGs. That ugly Hana logo always bugged me. One other question....what is the point of cloning the dna30 chip? Is it just price only? Why not clone the box and buy genuine dna 30 chips and put them in there? Yes I realize this is probably a stupid question...

It's price.

They are manufacturing those chips for less than $5 each. Real DNA30 chips are ridiculously overpriced for what they are. They're really just mini programmable buck converters which you can buy at retail for $10-$12.

The DNA is a bit more complex, and they did go through all of the trouble or moving the screen off the board and connecting it with a ribbon strip, but still, it's a $15 chip max.

Thanks man. With prices like that it is tempting to build your own. But I have zero knowledge when it comes to electronic stuff like this. I think I'm just going to end up buying a clone next month. Been looking at getting into mech mods for some dripping but this seems like a far better option.

Actually it's not that hard to assemble once you have the pieces. There's just 12 solder points on the DNA30 board.

I've priced it out. You could buy a clone, a real DNA30 chip, a new silver plated 510 connector with floating pin, pure copper wire, and some silver solder for a little less than $160. Gut your clone leaving only the battery holder and buttons in place and then install the real DNA30 chip and wire and solder everything back together and you'll end up with a device that's every bit as good if not better than what Hana Modz produces.

And really, it's not hard at all. Pick up a cheap blank PCB board and some wire and solder from Radio Shack and just spend an hour or two practicing soldering. Once you're comfortable with that the rest is no harder than putting together a plastic model.

Thank you for this! I might actually give this a shot now.

dna's are not buck converters...just saying....buck converters reduce battery voltage

So with regards to charging these...does it have to be from a computer USB? Or can I use, say, my Samsung phone charger, or an apple wall charger? Don't want to blow it up, but charging from a computer is a pain for me.

You'd be better off using the phone charger. I wouldn't use a computer.
