actually, i think we're up to version 3. new 510 pin, slightly upgraded chip

I would like details on the comment "slightly upgraded chip" , i see this thrown around without any proof as Cloupor does not mention it .

there are new "regular" heads that are supposed to handle higher wattage; and the bvc. i have a few bvc's and i've toyed above 15 watts with no problem.

I believe i said it could be different with the new head's but the vast majority recommend vaping low wattage with the nautilus, thats no secret . Actually i get better taste with just about everything with lower wattage ratings excluding drippers.

The bottom vertical coils handle 20 watts with no apparent problems in this review...

I'm sure it can handle it but is it the ideal wattage for best taste , thats the big question. Somehow i doubt it, seems higher watts kills the flavor for me.

I really just want the option of higher wattage...I suspect that I'd still vape the Nautilus @ 4.2 volts/10watts but who knows? Perhaps I'd like to drop the nic and bump the Vg up and vape @ 12 or 13 watts....Who knows really but the thought of having that option is intriguing..;)

Might as well just keep the MVP and forgo the DNA30 imho. I still have my MVP but once I experienced the difference between a 1.0ohm coil at 20 watts and a 2.3ohm coil at 8.5 or 9 watts, I don't see myself going back. So much better flavor and warmth with the lower ohm coil. You have to at least try it or buying a DNA to run a Nautilus is a waste. Just my two cents...no offense intended.

i don't have the sleep issues with my later cloupors. perhaps tweaked, is a better word. and that's the only comment i\ll make. had to trade in my early round, no problems with the others.

i've only heard 1 person recommend low wattage with the nautilus. but i've spent some time, this week, having problems with my coils, so maybe that is a good idea.

rather than try the "new" bdc nautilus coils,i'm planning on going bvc on them all. i was just goofing, this morning, and 15w was no problem. more coils due tomorrow and monday, i'll be trying different juices at higher wattage.

As far as the latest chip goes. I read they had done 10 upgrades to the chip, think it might have been Facebook.

The latest one wakes from sleep with 1 click every time. Also shows shorted if you short out the 510. All other features work as well.
Only issue still there is the display comes on by itself sometimes, could be wireless devices, and the wattage will go up 1 watt by itself.

Other than that, pretty good. Referring to the Cloupor from Elev8 so .... :vapor:

Absolutely no offence taken..At All. I realize that I'm behind the curve on these devices and their functionality. I'm open to any and all suggestions regarding these Clouper devices. I just felt like if I could get just a little more out of my nautilus it would be nearly perfect, vapewise, but perhaps the perfect vape is more fluid than I'd suspected and achieving just a little more leaves one wanting just a little more. At any rate I value everyone's opinion and I need the info/data so a big thank you to everyone who's commented so far..

I have the newest (V3). Small pin, one click to wake, display does randomly come on, and it actually drops the wattage 0.1. It's a tad annoying, but I'm sure I'll get over it.

As for the wireless argument, I was doing some building on a buddies ranch today. I didn't have my phone on me, so there were zero wireless components in my vicinity. It still randomly turned on a couple times.

Not a bad view though:

Lovely view :)

Yeah.. I think they were just throwing that out there to appease people. Would be nice if they fixed it, but I doubt I'll be getting more, have 2 now.

Funny thing, I have a Vstar from Fasttech, looks like an Evic and it has a day date entry. When I pull the battery and leave it for a while reinsert the battery, it shows the wrong date as expected. Magically later on it finds the right time/date. Not sure what's in the chip that could suddenly know the right time/date. Could be wireless getting it from my laptop as it's sitting right next to my laptop.

Weird or What :)

The perfect vape is a fallacy... like capturing a Unicorn, It just doesn't happen-- not for any length of time anyways. In my honest, possibly-overly-critical, opinion. You might have a day or two of great, near perfect, vape, but there's too many variables to consistently, without fail have the perfect vape. at least is my experience.

Don't lose hope though, that's not meant to be discouraging. Just enlightening. --the other part is, the perfect vape is subjective. What I consider perfect is probably different from what you consider perfect or Herb considers perfect, or Rip Tripper considers perfect. ya know? That's kinda what AVP's are about, just tinkering and fine tuning until you find something close enough to perfect to keep you from smoking.

I've never owned a Nautilus, but I've had a few protanks and the like in my day, and truthfully, you'd probably be fine to keep on going with your MVP and your Nautilus... but if you really desire to vape as a hobby, you'll probably end up wanting to experiment with more than just your nautilus in the future... to which I say, the Cloupor DNA 30 is the best mod I ever had. :D

I have the fasttech version of the Cana mod. I Have a question, from what I understand
This mod will not regulate below 4.0 volts, problem I'm having is when I lower the wattage
And the volts are below 4.0 volts the ohms are not blinking like my cloupor version.
Any help would be appreciated thxs..

Someone else on this thread had the FT version and said that it wasn't flashing below 4.0 volts either.... I wouldn't worry too much about it. I think it just come downs to the programming of the chip... as I doubt the FT version has a buck boost chip. Hopefully someone else can provide more info on it, but I'd say for now, as long at there aren't any issues, keep on keeping on with it.

A better question is did yours smoke, bad?
Yeah, went to hit the fire button, said too hot. ..., I haven't even used it today. You could see a bright orange glow to the right of the screen. I ran outside with the quickness, set it down, and ran inside and hid like a wuss behind the door lol. It then started smoking. Battery did not vent, warranty stickers not harmed etc.

Next question. How long have you had it? Just curious to see if I need to be taking more precautions.

Bought it off eBay, obvious signs of use and a fall or two. Just treat it like you would any other mod. Don't throw it against the wall or anything obviously though.

I've had it about a week, hardly even used it. Got it for kfl or fogger. Had my enigma on top when this happened.
