Yeah, went to hit the fire button, said too hot. ..., I haven't even used it today. You could see a bright orange glow to the right of the screen. I ran outside with the quickness, set it down, and ran inside and hid like a wuss behind the door lol. It then started smoking. Battery did not vent, warranty stickers not harmed etc.

There is a new thread is called something like dna 30 CLONE "ISSUES".....you can probably find some answers there....any and all issues that have ever happened with this unit are described there.

Just got my DNA30 the other day. I absolutely love this thing! I don't know if it will take over my TurtleShip and Plume Veil as my daily but it's definitely right by my side at all times. The mod is silver and I have it equipped with a 24K gold-plated KFL+ V2, sometimes a Magma. I think I have everything I'll ever need, I can finally start saving money! That was a joke... But, I do truly love it, hopefully there will be no spontaneous combustion.

I got a little artsy with the photos...

I think this mostly happens with attys with center pins that are recessed or flush with the threads around them. How is the center pin on your Enigma?
Never had a problem. That atty Sat on it almost permanently. I really only used it for how long it took to wrap a coil in my zenith or rewick it.
Edit. Stuff happens, not like it's a huge problem with all of them. Just hate I spend that money only for it to break in a week under minimal use.

Did i miss something (remember you posting your issue a bit ago), why didn't you contact the vendor (or did you) if it was only a week old?

Hey all. Ive been following this thread and last night I got a green 30W from a local B & M. I like it so far, im not wild about the color or the "Powered by tkovapor.com" that is engraved into it though so ill probably wrap it! I just have a couple of questions that I'm hoping someone here can answer....

1. This is my first high wattage device and I didn't have the money this month for a VTC5 or the purple Efest 3100mah. The battery I'm using is a pink Samsung ICR18650 26F. Am I OK to use this battery up to 30 watts as long as I don't subohm??
2. When I get money, which battery is better, VTC5 or the Efest?
3. Can I vape on this while its plugged in?

Thanks everyone!

It appears those batteries are around 6amp limit, where the Cana chip will handle up to 12amps, so with the wrong build/settings you could easily stress/destroy those batteries.

You should likely be 'safe' if you stay above ~1.3ohms+, but better to just get the VTC5.

I can only answer part of the question. The VCT5 is the better battery. Maybe someone else will answer your other question.
Thanks for your help.

Thanks. I've got my kayfun at 1.4 and my dripper at 1.6. I'll stay at 15 watts or under just to be safe until I can afford the VTC5.

Didn't post this before. Bought off of eBay. Used. Tried contacting the seller, but I'm sure he didn't know it would fail after minimal use.

I won my Cana mod and a CLT RDA this week in a contest for a local vape group on FB. Picked it up and I love it. They put a .9 build on the RDA. At 30W it gives me a great vape. But I mainly use it now for my juice that has nic in it. When dripping the nic, I couldn't handle it, but with this I can keep it 7-15W (in a Kayfun) and its good for me. Plus this one will be mainly for flavor than anything.

The eFest 3100mah is the better option for THIS MOD. overall the VCT5 would be better for mechs and higher amp applications. There's no reason for extra 18 Amps (continuous) you'll never touch with this mod. The extra mah makes more sense with a 20A limit, and you won't be taxing the battery.
