With vaping, you have a choice of what your delivery device looks like from the conventional cigalike to something that looks like it came from another planet and the variety of flavors run from conventional bacco to fruits, mint, savory, sweet and everything in between and the best part is that after the initial adjustment, you can actually taste and enjoy them.

e-cigs – look like cigarettes in size and shape, but they are nonflammable, so you don’t smoke them. Instead, you “vape” them, and vaping seems to be catching on. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) says their use is growing rapidly. Already about 1 in 5 cigarette smokers in the United States have tried them, and they are available everywhere – in retail outlets, on the Internet

So far, evidence suggests that e-cigarettes may be safer than regular cigarettes. The biggest danger from tobacco is the smoke, and e-cigarettes don't burn. Tests show the levels of dangerous chemicals they give off are a fraction of what you'd get from a real cigarette. But they aren’t regulated by the FDA, so what's in them can vary.

Vegetable glycerin used in food applications is USP grade or over 99% pure and has a sweet taste. Vegetable glycerin metabolizes differently than sugar and is used in low carbohydrate foods for sweetness and moisture. Unlike sugar, glycerin does not contribute to tooth decay. :)

E-cigs have been proven to help chronic schizophrenic patients stop or reduce their cigarette consumption. This is vitaly important because such patients are much more likely to smoke than the general population.

Impact of an electronic ciga... [Int J Environ Res Public Health. 2013] - PubMed - NCBI

RESULTS:
Sustained 50% reduction in the number of cig/day at week-52 was shown in 7/14 (50%) participants; their median of 30 cig/day decreasing significantly to 15 cig/day (p = 0.018). Sustained smoking abstinence at week-52 was observed in 2/14 (14.3%) participants. Combined sustained 50% reduction and smoking abstinence was shown in 9/14 (64.3%) participants. Nausea was observed in 2/14 (14.4%) of participants, throat irritation in 2/14 (14.4%) of participants, headache in 2/14 (14.4%) of participants , and dry cough in 4/14 (28.6%) of participants. However, these adverse events diminished substantially by week-24. Overall, one to two cartridges/day were used throughout the study. Positive and negative symptoms of schizophrenia are not increased after smoking reduction/cessation in patients using e-cigarettes.

CONCLUSIONS:
We have shown for the first time that the use of e-cigarette substantially decreased cigarette consumption without causing significant side effects in chronic schizophrenic patients who smoke not intending to quit. This was achieved without negative impacts on the symptoms of schizophrenia as assessed by SAPS and SANS symptoms scales.

Why are certain groups so opposed to it? This is a complicated question. Certain groups may have the public’s best interests in mind and just want more clinical studies to be done. Others have a financial interest in trying to figure out the best way to capitalize on what is probably going to be a billion dollar industry soon.
