Right now, I could get used to 72 REALLY quickly! :)

Had to work today on my day off - again. :glare: Good news is, I got double time for most of today! Doing 10 hour days all week and that happens. :)

The early guy should be back Monday! And the 2 people that were on vacation this week plus the one person on sick leave should be back too, so next week should be a piece of cake!

Tomorrow, on the other hand, should be another torture-fest. :( I'm hoping to be able to leave a bit early, if the one guy on vacation comes back a bit early...

Happy Sunday! I have a generic question. Emily put her deposit down at the DO (med school) in Kirksville, around 1500.00, plus signed a lease for an apartment. She had NO idea that she would ever be accepted at Des Moines as it is one of the most recognized DO schools. So she is out the money for Kirksville. She put her deposit down on an apartment in Des Moines and to the school. She is literally homeless (she is staying with a variety of people) because school in Kirksville starts either this week or next week. She can't move into her Des Moines apartment until 8/1. She and my Mom in law are driving here for a few days too. Any way....Miss Long winded here was wondering if it would be appropriate or stupid to do an online "house warming party" for her. She has always lived with someone else and needs things like kitchen items. She has to buy a bed, dresser, furniture. I thought an online party would be nice, not sure if it is appropriate.

Happy Sunday!

Emily should see if she can get her deposits back, even if they only give her part of it, that's better than nothing. As her apartment will be her first real place by herself, I think an housewarming would be appropriate. I'd do it as her first place and starting school. :)

Unrelated, we always have our PT first thing when their office opens so that we can get to work. Last week they heckled me that I should be bringing breakfast. Today I am baking cinnamon rolls to take in tomorrow. :)

Good morning - coffee and buttered rum - yum!

I have a problem/issue with a vendor. I order my vivi nova's from this vendor when I need new ones. I've also purchased other items from them. I purchased a joyetech 510cc kit. The battery never took a charge. I emailed them and explained the issue, they told me to return it and they would either fix it or ship a new one. So I have had an open ticket with them since April. I still have not received the product back, even though they say its been shipped. I wasn't going to order anything from them again, but I needed a couple new vivi nova's which I ordered last week and they arrived two days later. Meanwhile they haven't replaced, fixed or refunded my money for the kit - which are not cheap. I'm not sure what to do anymore. It states that you should not call them, just go through the "ticket". I keep the ticket updated letting them know I haven't received the product back. I feel like I'm just getting a total run around and do not know what to do? Any advice? If you have advice & don't want to post it, please pm me. TIA

V....Emily can't get a deposit back from the school - its written in stone - they do not return the money. I'm going to suggest she call them and ask if the money can be applied as a donation - then she can use it as a write off. She signed a lease for the apartment but did not give them a damage deposit. They are still going to make her pay the damage deposit and one months rent. She is broke, but she made the choice to go to India with her boyfriend for a wedding (boyfriend payed for almost everything) and she and her best friend went to Brazil last month. We don't financially support her any longer, but my mommy heart aches - so I will most likely send her some cash.
