So, this thread made me order one. :)

Hey Dave, glad to have you in the group. This is a fun rta to work with and I hope that you will enjoy it. If you have any questions that haven't already been covered, just post it here and some one will be here to help. This whole forum is a treasure trove of information and knowledge. Some nights I have been on here for 5-6 hours at a time, just reading about everything vaping. That's how I first learned about the Cthulhu V2 myself and decided to jump on it, and am Glad I did. Again, Welcome.

Thank you very much! The only other 2 tanks i have is the older version of the subtank mini (tired of it), and my Zephyrus. I do LOVE it, but I would like the option to go single coil as well as have another good tank to put in the rotation. Thanks again for the welcome!

I have two Cthulhu V1s I use regularly. Looking at the V2 design and specs--particularly the deck, chamber and chimney dimensions and style--I've yet to see anything to make me think the V2 is going to give me a significantly improved vape or even a different one, except potentially airier fully opened.

If any one cares to do a side by side comparison strictly from a vape quality point of view I would be very interested. Just not seeing enough to motivate me to spring for the V2.

I love the v1 but the v2 is an evolutionary change...the 'velocity style' deck alone makes it superior, but it also has better aiflow, and is easier to use. being able to access your coil/wick without emptying the tank, improved top fill, improved flavor...both are great tanks but if I had to choose just one, it'd be the v2, for sure.

On my way to work, grabbed my v2 out of the mail today. Twisted a .3 ohm 22 gauge build during lunch on the single coil deck and it's vaping amazing at about 48 watts. My juice is super syrupy and this thing is keeping up like I had hoped it would. After the billow 2 I felt I was taking a gamble with this, well it looks to be a winner to me. I've never had a rebuildable vape this good right away so easily. Single coil deck is a little tight on the draw but I like it that way. Nice and warm.

Based on features, the advantages are clear. It's the vape quality comparison with Cthulhu V1 I'm curious about. You say improved flavor. Any plus ones on that?

All I have to compare it with is the Lemo V1/Drop/Lemo V2/Magma RDA . I didn't notice but maybe a little difference till I tried some Madagascan Vanilla 12mg (I usually vape Unflavored 6mg or 12mg depending on my need at the time). I filled the Cthulhu V2 tank with 5mL of the Vanilla and liked to crap my pants. The flavor was just enough more intense that I didn't like it, almost sickening sweet. Too much Vanilla'ey (spelling ?), just a bit too strong. I struggled through about half a tank and just dumped the rest in the sink :nah:. The Madagascan Vanilla is a Winner in the other setups, but NOT in the Cthulhu V2. Hope that helps you out. Be careful what you wish for ;)

Edit; And that was at 12.5 Watts, 30g 'UD' Twisted @1.4 Ohm, Tight MTL.

Edit 2; I know that I could have calmed it down some by opening the air flow up some, but I just like that Tight MTL, hence, More intense Flavor. Sometimes Good...Sometimes Not.

Edit 3; Juice flow control opened half way.

Now, Enough of these Edits already. Sorry Guys.

The Cthulhu v2's flavor output is fantastic and it performs similar to my RDAs in terms of flavor. Too much flavor (or not enough) is one of the reasons why I mix my own juice. It sounds to me like you have the opportunity to dilute your juice (add VG and/or PG) and as a result you'll have more of it and will save $$$ as well.

Yeah, I know I could, I have some 0 nic Unflavored 50/50 I could use. I was just trying to show that the Cthulhu V2 has shown me that it has the capability to go beyond what even my Magma or Lemo's can attain in the Flavor department alone. Maybe I just stumbled through my wordy explanation too much. I try NOT to get too wordy and in the end lose the purpose of my post, but I struggle. I'm Not a man of few words I guess. I just hope that I don't confuse everyone in the process and make it pointless to post a reply to try to help others. I do understand what you're saying though. I think I did it again.

Beyond a Magma flavor wise? That is a bold claim :)

Yeah, I know. You need to understand that I come from 52 years of Cigarettes, Cigars (inhaled), Pipes, Red Man Chewing Tobacco, Skool. So my ability to taste things is Muted (I guess you could say), or Off Kilter from the norm. This Cthulhu V2 is do'in something with the flavor that I'm not used to, and I've been vaping for over a year now. It's not that it's stronger, but more intense is the only way I can describe the experience it leaves me with, even on my Unflavored MBV juice. Ya'll talk about Flavor notes, I don't think I can pick up on those any more, I've lost that ability, but it's something....More, is all I can say. Please don't get me wrong, I DO Like it, and am getting the Black one for just that reason.

Agreed the flavour on this one is top notch. Also it's ability to run at higher wattages is great, dialed it up to 70w yesterday for a giggle and the wicking didn't miss a beat. Many other RTAs I've had have started to get dry at 50w unless i wicked em so they were leaky.

To me, the flavor is about the same compared to the v1, maybe a bit better.... Definitely more vapor than the v1....
For me, the ability to change decks and not having to disassemble the entire tank to rebuild are what sold me on it, though.... Just had my first leak last night when topping off the tank, forgot to close the air control, compared to my v1 top filling always led to a bit of juicein the air channels after filling and sometimes even with bottom filling....
It's taller than the v1, if size is a concern.... 510 pin is adjustable, but, at least on mine, if its not fully tightened down, it can be adjusted with a finger....

70 Watts ? Boy Howdy, now that's gett'in after it. Are you wicking to the bottom of the juice channel with the juice control adjustment WIDE Open, and under the wicking ring also ? Cotton or Rayon ? Dual coil deck I'm guess'in also ? I know, Questions, Questions.
