Can someone tell me will the Cthulhu rta V2 be able to handle 24G Kanthal?

Ive recently changed from 26 to 24 in my Orchid's and Billow Decks and the thicker wire is much better(to me at least to get a cooler vape)

Honestly I was going to probably buy a Billow V2 for my next tank but this thing just has so many bells and whistles! What do you think Billow or Cthulhu? Havent even heard of this company until today but I am very intrigued and if its as easy to build on as the Billows and Orchids and can handle 24G than Im sold, ill go ahead and preorder this thing.

If you want a tank that can handle 24ga perfectly and is stupidly cheap for a limited time only i would say to buy a authentic goliath v2 here before they sell out. Only $15!!!(a steal considering it first retailed for $35-40) I own both it and the billow v2 and prefer the Gv2 personally, i think that the vape quality is more consistent plus a nice 2 post build deck and the machining is the best UD has ever done. Best thing is right now, no preorder wait! Personally, given the early reviews this guys has had i would take the Gv2 over it especially at less than half the price! The only reason i have yet to cancel my preorder is that i swapped it to the black and am hoping that the quality issues are fixed by the time it releases in a month from now. Hope this helps!

There website has little info :(
Is that the whole kit? With the spare glass coloured o rings and 2 coil heads?

OK did a single coil build first and top fill is a joy and easy definitely kayfunish ...it did leak just a little till I started vaping then it stopped ....super easy to build and wick ..taste is awesome ..wasn't going for a cloud blowing build so can't say if it chucks or not but I like the air flow only down side is it moves way to easily... Now the juice control is my only big negative ....can't tell if it's open or closed ...hard to turn without taking off the deck .But vape wise I really didn't notice a difference open or closed so I try to keep it open (I think ...can't really tell?) I like the tank alot def think its a keeper and will try out the velocity deck today or tomorrow

I assume ur talking about the Cthulhu v2 lol hard to tell now ( that said great to hear about other RTA's)

Anyway easy way to know if you are opening or closing the juice flow on the Cthulhu v2 if your Opening the Juice flow (and you have fat fingers like me) you will also Open the air flow... and of course when closing juice flow you will also probably close air flow

It requires something like 1080deg of turning to fully close or open you will notice it pretty quickly when its fully closed or open as it will stop moving or you will start unscrewing the tank (one of the minor issues with this RTA)..... You should also notice if you have it closed as it should give a good seal as it blocks the juice channels and the juice tank openings.

So is summery just turn the juice flow in the same direction as the airflow ring to open or close it's that easy. :) GL

i should get my tank early next week. tracking says its still bouncing around L.A. lol. can anybody tell me if the tank can be run with the air control ring removed? the reason i ask is because i like the max amount of airflow that i can get from a tank and if people are saying the ring is loose and moving i would just like to take it off if possible. i have a magma drippper and don`t use the air control ring that came with it.

I finally got mine......I gotta be honest I am not impressed with this thing at all.. My airflow control ring is loose as all heck, the juice control is an absolute pain in the ...., and the flavor is no where close to the Aromamizer. I think ill be shelving this and chalking up a $40 loss. Just my :2c:

Ok so I didnt want to give up on this RTA yet soooooooo I threw in a new dual build 27 gauge 10 wrap each on 2.5mm coming in at .7 ohm and the flavor finally showed up!! There is hope for this thing yet..

I received mine today. The overall build quality and both decks are fine, and the juice channels are generous.

For my initial build, I used the single coil deck and wrapped a 26g 3mm ID twisted Ti (initially 0.14ohms and ended @ 0.20ohms after prepping and pulsing to ensure even heating). The airflow is slightly tighter than I prefer for lung inhales so my next build with be a smaller ID to allow more airflow - although I'll probably try the dual coil deck next.

I didn't experience any leaking after filling. As I mentioned/suggested in my previous post, I tightened the fill cap just enough for the o-ring to touch the inside of the top cap, then turned it upside down and quickly tightened it all the way.

I didn't use the wick ring, and I also have the juice control wide open. The juice control can be somewhat of a PITA but I never have to mess with it since I leave it wide open...my DIY juice is approx 85% VG and it wicks fine.

So far I'm satisfied with the performance and my first build...it's putting out good flavor and vapor.

Na cant be removed which is a shame as i prefer being able to take things appart still not as annoying as the magma airflow control lol.

I recon if you got a super loose one and you wanted to make it tight if you just got some large pliers and squashed it a little it would make it a bit more stiff - haven't tried this my self but mine is alright..

eddiea, Thanks for the pic's as they are of good quality and show me that in this run of the atty the quality looks very good and I should expect little if any problems. I don't see it in your pic's but do the Velocity style posts on the dual deck lean, like in some of the earlier posted pic's ?

edit; That does look nice on your D2

The single coil deck further restricts air flow if you look at the bottom there is like 4 small holes in the deck which allow the air in and also create a bit more of a restricted vape, don't worry lots more air on the Dual coil deck imo

Nice review and pic btw
Since the single coil deck was the one which was pre-installed, I didn't take it apart before/after washing it but I'll have to check it out later indeed. I expect/hope the bottom air holes on it can be widened and if so I'll be doing so with a dremel.

Yes and it vapes great on the D2...I have the black as well as the silver version. The single coil setup performs fine in TC mode, but as I mentioned earlier I haven't tried the dual coil deck yet.

Mine is [HASHTAG]#259[/HASHTAG] so it seems the initial batch was 200 pcs. The positive post on my Velocity-style deck doesn't lean but there are two separate peek insulators underneath it which probably caused the lean in the first batch due to inconsistent height...it probably could've been avoided if they used a one-piece insulator. The post holes on the negative post are off-centered just a bit (as you can tell in my earlier photo and the new one below - although it does not affect the performance of course...it's just a minor cosmetic inconsistency which was one of the first things I noticed.

:thumb: That answers All of my questions. Thank You very much for the time and trouble to post, it IS appreciated. Another good pic that shows the Industrial Sized Beefiness of those posts, I like it. I'm just waiting for the Black to go on pre-order at Smog myself. My SS has left L.A. and is in transit. Can't wait.

on the single coil deck you will have a really hard time increasing air flow as the holes are at a 45 angle to the central airflow hole.....

I think the idea was that single coil option would be for a mtl or restricted DLI where as the dual coils would be for a more open DLI....

Realistically however the chamber is to large for Great MTL imo Anyway get some dual coils in! thats where the Cthulhu v2 shines, Single coil is a nice option but defiantly not the best option on this atty imo

I just got my Cthulhu V2 today. I am very impressed. The machining on mine is very good. Both build decks are super easy to build. One thing I notice is that everyone seems to be not using the wicking ring....meanwhile that wicking ring is a god send. The point of the wicking ring is for you to never take it off. It should be on the deck before you wick with cotton. When you have your cotton through you coil, cut the cotton so its length reaches the bottom of the ring. Then stuff the cotton in the space created by the ring and what doesn't fit comfortably in that space leave it above the deck....its that simple. With
