Well it isn't dry threading. It's just too damn tight. Judging from their qc issues with legacy batches your juice fill is probably much looser than mine.

I modified my fill port by milling a 1/8" hole right in the middle. Still a pain in the azz to fill from a typical dropper lol. It is easy enough to move though. I also drilled four holes in the chimney for better juice flow. That was a big improvement.

Ultimately, the L2 was/is in my mind an ok atty with not a whole lot going for it over the so many others out there.

Just remove the top fills oring that should make it 5x easier to take off.....I'm personly disliking the top fill however more and more i have no problem opening it its just i always get a little elquid leaking out which ends up covering everything..... and my juice control is just to hard to move without removing the tank from the mod box and even then its more hassle than use...... I sort of wish they just made this RTA mid fill like a kanger tank it just works 100% of the time... china really does struggle with filling design ever second atty leaks when you fill it.

Next time i wick this i'm going to fill those juice channel with cotton, my issues are probably my fault as i'm using 50/50 juice i need way more cotton to restrict the juice flow a bit....

Don't use too much cotton in you're quest to find Nirvana. I also use 50/50 and was getting close to Dry Hitting when I was doing the very same thing as you are contemplating. Just trying to help here. I'm Not the Sharpest Pencil in the box, but I am having a bit more difficult of a time getting my wicking nailed down on this one, as compared to my Lemo's. In fact, that's Just what I am experimenting with right now, wicking it Just like my Lemo's. We'll see how that pans out. Oh, I'm talking about the Single coil deck here.

I got my 28/32 Clapton wire in the Vape Mail today, so maybe tonight/tomorrow I'll be trying some of that out. Steam-Engine doesn't have any info on Clapton wire so I'll just have to wing it on 3mm Coil Master. No Biggie.
There is a section for it, its still in development so it might not be accurate and its a bit difficult to use.... It's the wire wizard tab.... 8 wraps at 2mm comes to 1.586 ohms per coil according to wire wizard....
On the app, its the 4 horizontal bar stack next to the liquid droplet....

I'm working on some 30/34 fused Claptons just so I can get a higher ohm setup for the dual deck.... I found wrapping fused Claptons is easier and faster with just a sharpie and pinching the wrap wire between my fingers than my method for a single Clapton using the sharpie and protank head....

Boy Howdy. It's definitely NOT the most intuitive app as compared to the rest of Steam-Engine, that's for sure. I'll just Wing It.

DeadKaiser, I just saw where you won a New Cloupor Mini Plus TC in the site contest. Congrats Partner. Yeah, I just noticed that, I'm slow. But, someplace to put you're Cthulhu V2 on.

Cheers its the first time i've ever won something im pretty sure lol got to love having a few mods means you never need to remove those atty.... that said mine all seem to run out of battery at the same time!

Well That SuckZ !! I went to that Clapton page in Steam-Engine and put in 3mm, 6 wraps, 28 core/32 parallel wire and it came back with 1.534 ohms ? I thought O. K. maybe a little bit high ??? So I wrapped up a coil with 6 wraps and got 0.6 ohms (took forever to get it all lit up @ 20W, I already knew it would do that though). That was in a Lemo V2, I use that to test coils on first. Guess I will just have to put the Clapton's on the Back burner for awhile. I was hoping more for 1+ ohms without a crap load of wraps, It is what it is I guess.

steam engine is always spot on for me although i never have bothered with Clapton coils will one day soon......

I would have though the resistance of a Clapton coil would be extremely similar to a single coil made out of the core? obviously this does not work for fused Clapton coils or if you use Nichrome for the Claptoning (you know what i mean ;) )

Hmmmm, kind of weird.... The one fused 30/34 I did the other night was only 0.1 lower than steam-engine....

Did a bit of playing around on that tab.... Taking the same coil and Clapton'ing it, steam engine predicts a rise in resistance....

Yeah, I know, Huh. A different result than I was expecting for sure. But, like you said earlier, It is in Beta.

Man, this thing is really picky with regards to wicking. A tiny bit too much = dry hit city, no flavor. A tiny bit too little wick = leaking through the air holes all over your mod but great taste.
Someday I will be on that little thin, very fine line of perfect wicking. I hope.

I am still experimenting myself, I now feed a 7-8mm wide strip of KGD thru my 3mm coil, Leaving ALL the layers on it but take the Back HALF thickness and cut it to just touch the top of the deck, the Front HALF thickness I thread down thru the wicking ring (I leave the wicking ring ON All the time) and then cut it to be just even with the bottom of the wicking ring. I separate the layers First, Then juice the Back half and cut it, then juice the Front half and thread it down behind the wicking ring and cut it. I hope that makes sense. This way I hope to keep it from flooding (with the wick in the wick channel) but not so much that it dry hits. Half in the wick channel and half on the deck. So Far, So Good as I'm still on my first tank full using this method. I MTL @ 15W with a TIGHT Draw but occasionally OPEN it for a Wide open Lung Hit @ 25W (3 times in a row) and No Dry Hits. It's a bit fiddly but I'm just experimenting at this point to see what would happen (and, I have Arthritis so it might be easier for the rest of you to do than it is for me). I don't thin that 7-8mm strip of KGD at all either.

Edit: This is on the Single Coil Deck, I haven't dinked around with the Dual Coil Deck yet.
