I would have to agree with you about the DNA20. I'm a ProVari owner who purchased a ManCaveMod DNA20 earlier this year, and it really does perform very well. The only thing about the DNA20 that doesn't measure up to the ProVari is the efficiency of the circuit, and I get about 25% more battery life out of the ProVari using the same AW 2000mAh batteries. I'll be getting the Panasonic NCR18650PD batteries for the MCM soon so I can get equivalent life span between charges on both devices.

All in all, I'm very impressed with the DNA20 and the ProVari and they both work equally well at what they do.

I can see that, but I'm surprised that its that big of a difference.

What ohm coil and wattage setting are using?

i don't think it will kill the provari....at least not the mini.
one of the things that makes the provari mini so attractive is the size. this thing looks big.

imho, the next big thing needs to be a vv/vw device that is less than 3in (p.mini is 3.5in).
if THAT ever hit the market....it would destroy all the competition.

The Smoktech Zmax mini is pretty small. It's the smallest and slimmest regulated mod I've seen or used. A bit delicate but if you're not hard on it it'll work fine. I've been using mine for work and love it.

I'm using a carto tank with a 3.2ohm single coil carto (XL size) on both devices:

ProVari - 5.1v (8.13 watts)
DNA20 - 8.1 watts

I can only guess that the extra drain on the battery is the fact that the DNA20 mod display is lit up during use and the additional circuitry needed for the wattage calculations adds some as well.

I'm not that familiar with the MCM, their could be some battery contact short comings or something. Maybe there is just that much difference, but the DNA is pretty efficient. I won't muddle up this thread guessing and etc, but something I may look into. I'm glad your enjoying your MCM DNA20.

Something like this maybe? Just a 18650 DNA20 design I have been playing with I think it's 3.125" tall with the Z2 510 adapter.

I really like that design! It's unique and it kind of blends a tube design with a modified box design. What materials are you considering for the external casing?

Bad-.........I would love one of those. The only thing that would make it better is ego threads, but I would gladly use an adapter for a device like this. Top notch, bravo........ Well done. :toast: I owe you a beer for the concept alone.

The problem with the provari fanboy mentality is that it makes it that much less likely that other, often better products will be popular enough to give a company enough financial stability to be able to provide the kind of track record provape has. They were an early entrant into the high end market and profited handsomely on that. Today it gives them a large competitive advantage even without the fanboys doing their thing.

Many if not most smaller innovative mod companies go away not because something else "caught their fancy" but because they were not financially viable. That's how rare mods become rare mods.

Wow!! really?? you need to repeat that introductory business class.. seriously..

I've had a provari for as long as I can remember. For the last month I have been using a Opus D DNA 20. The difference is: You could hand the DNA 20 to a hardcore, lung hitting, cloud banging, sub ohm mecher and he/she would love the performance and be completely satisfied, then turn around and hand it to your Grandfather with a little lung problem and he would also find his sweet spot. I have to admit I don't use my provari much, mechs are more to my liking and now the DNA 20. I think provape will always be strong in the market, but if they wanted get a bigger piece of that market, an option of top caps (a little 2010 IMO) and an adjustable center pin would give them new life. As for the Cyborg, I love the idea, but seems most are trending to smaller mods and this thing looks to be in the light saber range.

The provari Killer will be provari with three button

The idea of 11 Clic to know the ohm and do not miss your shot or its going to be 22 click, dont miss...33..

to puts the higher volt go up to 10 cilc to put a little lower 12 clic and dont miss your shot...20..24 ..dont miss

I do not want to clic I want to vape that provari with 3 button gonna be the provari killer the vamo killer ect. ect , killer

But won't kill Cyborg , Duggout , ect those are Dna20 that the new Darwin who never dream to have a Darwin, now let see the quality ?

P.S sorry its not 11 clic for the ohm it's 13 clic (and i miss it) the hell with it , gonna put it on my vamo push down a button and got everything put it on my Duggout push the fire button and got all the info

I don't think anything will be a "Provari Killer" other than possibly ProVape themselves; but for those of us who enjoy a +15 watt vape, I will just say that I was pleased my Provari mini had an awesome resale value.

So who ended up scooping one of these up? Haven't seen many around.

I recently got a Hana and I'm loving the DNA20, so hopefully I'll be able to grab one next round. Just wish it was available in stainless.

which is the strongest aluminum or the brass one

Aluminum has a higher yield strength. Brass has a slightly higher electrical conductivity but I feel that does not really come into play w/ DNA. Up keep on the brass is a pain, but it does look sexy.
