Got a email notice: Cyborg's will be available today at 9:30pm!!!

Amazing how monotonous threads become when provari is introduced to the equation. I am entertained right after the first person bashes the provari. Then after the third or fourth post it's like oh yea I read all this crap before... Yawn.

I hear yah, as soon as someone uses the phrase 'Porvari killer' the whole thread turns to rehash. I bet that even sounds like daja vu..

If I pay $239 on sale for a mod, I want something more durable than aluminum or brass. Stainless Steel would be the minimum. I also want gold plated contacts, not copper contacts that turn green and require frequent cleaning. On first impression, this is a cheaply made device that won't last.

The disclaimer tells the story quite well.

Thats dissapointing, I was looking forward to ordering a FluidFlask. Did you try to contact them and have it replaced?

I bought a Fluid Flask right from their B&M since I work nearby. Really great staff and a quality operation. I heard the first tubes were rough but they addressed that and mine was absolutely perfect. As for filling, once you get the bubble trick down its a piece of cake. I dropped my several times on cement and even bent the carto at the threads and not a drop spilled. The cage keeps the top and bottom together and protected the tank. I know $70 is steep and I wish it was Pyrex but I have no buyers remorse and would buy another in a heartbeat.

WARNING!!!

I'm not sure but I think my Provari killed my eGo battery last night. I left both on my desk together last night. When I woke this morning the eGo was laying on its side, motionless. Attempts to revive it were useless, just displaying error flash, flash, flash.

I am afraid to leave Provari alone unsupervised with my other mods now. Dog and Cat were trying to tell me something this morning but all I could understand was "Timmy", and fire or well or something like that.

The thread is three months old. Is the ProVari dead yet?

Not yet, TO, but someone did sell one for $135 yesterday, with the extension cap. So the after-market prices are coming down, but I've noticed the same with the Disposables market. Therefore I don't think it's The Provari Death Knell (much to the chagrin of many). More like just regular old economics (from what my brain can still recall).

I wish all of my Provaris would just stop working because I feel so outdated using this ancient technology and all. These things are like freaking Dracula. Invite them in once and they never leave. It's very inconsiderate - don't ya think???

{end sarcasm}.

:p

i have tried the provari, itaste mvp and a mech side by side. for me i saw nothing special about the provari, other than the service provape is willing to perform. you or anyone else can twist it any way they want but in the end it comes back to just the service.

if the provari was really the greatest thing since the invention of sliced bread, the provari would have: the ability to become telescopic, would be able to do sub ohm, would have an oled screen, would be able to do variable wattage, you could turn it into a mechanical at the blink of an eye etc. etc.

its all just about the service in the end of any and all provari arguments. any company that would choose to fight provape on their own turf would probably split the market. thats the reason many a provari user have just gone the mech route, because in the end they dont have to pay anyone for any services their pv's might need, you can just do it themselves. thats why there arent any mech vs provari arguments.
why would i want an oled screen that i cant read in sunlight

I wish sometimes that my Provari would die. It would give me an incentive to buy something new and fancy with wattage settings and more buttons. It just keeps on working like it did on day one. It's rolled out of the car so many times it isn't funny. Cartos bend and tanks pop apart, but the Provari is still nice and shiny.

Well, it does have one tiny scratch that you can see if you get the light reflecting just right off the extended battery cap. SS is just tough stuff.

The only reason the provari isn't dead is because people are cheap and refuse to replace something that cost so much with better pv's. The provari is on its last breathe, I don't know why someone would buy one when you can have a sigelei zmax for a fraction of the price and use any battery you want(button or flat-top), it has a better screen, it is VW which is better in my opinion and many others, and you can use ego and 510 without an adapter. The provari is well built but so is the zmax. If the zmax was 200 bucks everyone would be saying it is the best because thats how you fanboys operate. "It costs more so it must be far superior" you would say. Stick to the facts, the sigelei zmax and many other pv's are better than the provari and have been for a long time. Just because you overspent doesn't mean you should tell others to make the same mistake you did. The cyborg looks awesome and I really want one. It may just be the zmax killer.

both my zmaxs no longer work, the mod graveyard at work is full of vamos, and not a single provari has ever been brought back in 4 years of being in business.... interesting

Not to contradict this, but I DID manage to kill my Provari! To it's defense, it's been used VERY hard and has numerous scratches and was covered under warranty. I'm still waiting to hear what failed so I know what not to do to it in the future!
BUT, unlike most other mods, I had a place to send it to to get fixed! Now it's back and working fine.

The only two gripes I have with my Provari is the mounting method for the circuit board and the lack of bounce protection for the fire button switch. The circuit board slides into a slot on each side of the tube and was apparently secured with a drop of RTV or other silicone sealant during manufacture. Sometimes I can feel a slight amount of side to side movement when I press the fire button.

The other is that the switch will sometimes generate a pulse train when pressed that takes me into the menu. Fix those two issues and it's rock solid. Neither has prevented it from working. They are just small issues that need to be addressed. I bought the 2nd year warranty extension when I purchased, so I will send it back for refurb sometimes during the first quarter of 2014. That way it will get checked out and tuned up before the warranty runs out in April.

There are few mods that actually come with a year of warranty. Provari is one. You can buy another year for $24.95. I don't usually buy extended warranties, but I did on two new vehicles this year and I bought it on the Provari. Glad I did.
