We wish you would make our mods,
We wish you would make our mods,
We wish you would make our mods,
and mail them RIGHT NOW.

Can't have it right now
Where ever you are
They are working on the Darwin
For a perfected new mod

So get off your rear
And kick it in gear,
Been reading bout the Darwins,
And we want them RIGHT NOW

Good vaping is guessing
Without your Dar-win
But your amps, volts and wattage
Will dial you right in.

Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la....

'Tis the season to be vaping
Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la
My money goes in a big hole gaping
Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la
Mods are making me a pauper
Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la
Can't even afford a Whopper
Fa-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la

Just got this E-Mail, 12/26/2010
Dear Friends:

Thank you for your interest in the "Darwin", the first powered regulated Mod.

We are looking at an initial sales date of early January 2011. Sales will be by Internet order only and will come complete with Long Life Rechargeable batteries and charger at NO additional cost.

There will be no pre-orders and the price will be $229.00.

Units will be shipped anywhere in the world that permits the importation of such devices.
There will be a 2 year warranty against manufacturing defects on the device, with a 1 year warranty on the batteries. In addition, EVOLV will offer a "No questions asked" 1 week return for refund if you are not completely satisfied with your purchase.
I will continue to keep you posted via email of any future information updates as the launch approaches. You can also visit us at Home Page by 12/28/10 for more information and photo's.
Thank you for your patience and we look forward to becoming your Vaping device of choice.

Best Wishes

$229.00 is a bit more than what I thought it would be but I have no problem at all paying that for the Darwin. I think this PV is going to be incredible and I really can't wait to get one of my own.

Same here.......

To make that price point work, marketing will be critical. I can only guess at their stategy, but I believe they can make that price point work, but more importantly, THEY believe it can work.

How do you guys feel this compares to the ProVari?

The Darwin is about $70 more then the ProVari, but they include batteries, charger and a two year warranty, plus they will allow you to return it, no questions asked, for the first week of ownership!

It's great to have competition!

Is the Darwin substatially smaller then the ProVari?

The Darwin does have built in battery, which has it's pluses and it's minuses. Can't bring a spare with you, but you can charge it from your USB. How do you guys feel about this tradeoff?

Can't wait to see what 2011 brings us! If the ProVari and Darwin are any indication, should be a great year for vapors!

I want to see the finished Darwin before making a final call. The first one I saw wasn't my style but there has been talk of a different look for the final product. Darwin has a lot of promise so I guess we'll see....

Did you see the pictures of the reworked Darwin IndustrialAction? Go back to page 24 and 26 for the updated pics if you haven't.

I have the forum in reverse, let me look. I saw Mutt and Angus' pics, and it wasn't my style. Let me look through the thread to find the updated pics.

Ok, I found them. The new style is MUCH, MUCH better. I still don't think I'm throwing down $229 though. I love the idea of regulated wattage but I also have an Ohm's Law calculator on my iPhone and a pre-order for the ProVari. If the price drops, I'll certainly consider it.
