Unflavored can always be made into flavored, once you pin down your sensitivities. How much VG can you vape % wise?

I know from reading your preferences on the samples swap that you don't like menthol, citrus, or superlight fruity. (I assume menthol also mean minty, right?)

My idea for you is once you get your VG/PG % pinned down to where your sinuses feel better, you might consider putting a few drops of some of these flavorings into your flavorless nic base.

Can you do any ethyl alcohol or do you not know yet?

Some ideas are these, just going by Linda's notes: at TPA/TFA, with not only no AP or DA, but also no acetoin or butyric acid and no triacetin either. AND no sulfites. (the more of these things missing, the less choices you have of course!). Just sayin', going by the notes, these seem the least offensive.

You could put a few drops into your flavorless :)

Cereals - almost all of them except Silly Rabbit which has triacetin
Banana Nut Bread
Fudge Brownie
Oatmeal Cookie
DX Bavarian Cream
*I left out DX Vanilla Cupcake due to having butryric acid*
French VAnilla Creme (no AP, etc.)
French Vanilla Flavor
Bubble Gum
Brown Sugar
Grape Candy
Gummy Candy (PG) Flavor (the one w/out triacetin)
Honey
Honeysuckle
Red Licorice
chocolate flavor
Double Chocolate (clear)
Vanilla Swirl(custard notes removed)
DX Hazelnut Flavor - same as their regular hazelnut except only PG and the flavoring (no acetoin or AP)
Black Tea
Espresso
Coffee Flavor
Almond Amaretto
Champagne Type Flavor
Mojito flavor
Mexican liqueur
Cola Cherry
Pina Colada
Grape juice
Earl Grey Tea
Energy Drink
Horchata
a few more but I ran out of energy. :)

This is exactly what I do and I feel like a genius lolol

Ya..and a big bummer bcoz I finally found a custard that I LOVED! But like you, bye, bye custard

I've been vaping for the past week mostly unflavored and actually, hasn't bothered me much not having flavor. Granted, I've rotated a few "safe" flavors so I don't get bored outta my mind but honestly, I've been ok with it!

Me too!

More good links (trying to get them all in one place)

Dr. Farsalinos explains about vaping Acetyl Proprianol and Diacetyls (in part of this audio clip):

whoops, guess ecf doesn't allow this particular podcast, as it is not posting. :(

Maybe not, but there's always Google to search so thanks for the heads up!

Thank you! kind of bummed that virginvapor isn't on the list. I knew Aroma wouldn't be because its WTA, but they sure did help me get off the nasties. Oh well. onward to new flavors!!!! Oh BTW anybody know if one of these has a good creme brulee?

Don't know about Creme Brulee specifically but Sedge made this post on a different thread about a vendor called Kings Crest and i was surprised that they tested clean on the link above, given the flavor profile of their juices :

So a couple of weeks ago I ventured to try a juice line I hadn't tried before.

King's Crest.

For those that haven't tried it or know about it, Duchess won the best of show in Vape Summit Houston.

Flavor Profiles:

DON JUAN- A mesmerizing butter pecan pie

Duchess- A decadent creamy & milky tres leches

Duke- A delectable creamy vanilla custard

Monarch- A delicious blend of strawberry & banana cream

Blue Queen- An exotic blend of Kiwi & blue raspberry cotton candy with a hint of hibiscus on a savory base

Empire- Sweet rum raisin with a complex tobacco undertone.

I got 120ml bottles of Duchess, Duke and Don Juan.

I couldn't put the Don Juan down and forced myself to put it aside lest I vape it in one shot.

The other two were so subtle that I let them steep for 2 weeks. They are now nothing short of amazing.

These three are definitely reorders and I'm confident to try the others.

Saw the other thread re: this subject and WOW! Some people can be just down right nasty. I realize not all people are concerned about this but to bash those who are is pretty lame
Hey Ang :)

Someone made an astute observation ( i hope she doesn't mind me posting it here ) which i think explains the responses :

Judging by the responses in most of the AP/DA topics, there is an insidious attitude that once you've been a dirty smoker, your aptitude for pursuing real health is fluxored, i.e. "you smoked for 20 years and now you are worried about diketones?"---- and then the usual memes about the toxic air, toxic water, toxic food and how dangerous driving is, ensue.

So, similar to what you said previously, the message is like a 2-prong barbeque fork:
Vaping is 99% safe (and vapers and CASAA are adamant about this) --------- unless you find something out about it that isn't safe---- and then, "its much ado about nothing" and you need to get with the program and stop being one of those people who worry about stuff that isn't worth worrying about .

All that is required to be labelled an ANTZ is to find something questionable about vaping, and then actually ASK the question.

I do understand this though. In their defense, vapers have felt hounded and persecuted, and it has set them up into a very inflexible emotional state, That is common among groups of persons who have faced long-term persecution.

AMEN and the poster said it well. This all kinda reminds me of when BigToBacco/FDA finally admitted cigs were harmful, then required warning labels, then smoking bans...the smokers were up in arms even tho the little red flag inside them was trying to warn them. Their sub consciousness was telling them the truth, but they kept ignoring to "fight for their right" to smoke.

Hell, I WAS one of those people. I was offended I had to stand outside, then not by the door bcoz "those people" didn't want to walk through my plumes of hazardous smoke. I hope I've grown and learned from that and if someone points out a potential health hazard in what I've throughly grown to love (vaping) I will not ignore my red flag. I will switch completely to unflavored or quit all together. I'm not pushing others to quit or have it be banned, but I want info for my own personal decisions and people should respect that.

STINKY CANUCK in Canada posts Ethalpy Lab testing results on SOME of their juices.

You click on "Tested" to see the ones that are.

They are members of ECTA, so they will probably have tests on all their juices at some point?

I did click on one of the creamy ones and it is not showing as tested yet. but the ones that are tested are pretty much ND for diketones, so that's an option for those in CAN. looking for diketone free.

All over the place
Just adding links to this topic, as some of the vendors are not diketone free at this point in time, although that may change:

VaporShark E-Liquid Testing.pdf - Google Drive
Cloud9vaping pulls Five Pawns and other liquids from the shelf after testing. | E-Cigarette Forum
Nicoticket Testing Results | E-Cigarette Forum

Of note on the Cloud9 results: "Mystic Vapor very quicky began work on a reformulated version of their Vanilla Custard as soon as they were made aware of these results, and our withdrawal of the V1 product. The reformulated product has tested free of both Diacetyl and Acetyl Propionyl."

And remember:

Wow. Just wow. I wonder if we can stop with all the "trace" talk now?

I think you just sent me to heavan. they all sound awesome. When I run out of the 15 flavors I have right now I will def be checking them out. I am a juice junkie. LOL but I want to vape as healthfully as
s I can and not inhale something that shouldnt be in my inhaled
. And as an exsmoker I want to say that when I started we did not know how truly bad and addicting cigs were and it
didn't help that I was14. Forgive the typing I m in the dark.

Did Dr. Farsalinos ever release the results of his study, i.e., which companies and which juices tested positive (and levels) for diketones? If he did, please point me to a link. Only one I ever heard about (associated with his study) was Suicide Bunny.
Dr. F never named any vendor. Others did.

You must've been away the past couple of weeks ! Vaporshark tested all the vendors they carry and a U.K. distributor tested 5P and removed them from the shelves.

I've seen all of the independent testing. I'm just wondering why Farsalinos never "named names," whether positive or negative. Seems funny to do a study and not release the most pertinent info.
