I do not heat my NF flavors on the stove, and don't over heat them. I use a shallow Corningware cereal bowl, pour my 2oz bottle of flavoring in it and heat it for only 20 to 30 seconds in the microwave. I then let it sit until it cools to room temp before re bottling it. I've been doing this for 2 years and never had any white residue. I've also never had any issues using NF in my polycarb tanks. But I have never used the Butterscotch, only the Caramel, and the Caramel Cream.

Looking forward to hearing Kurt chime in, and I would also advise you to contact NF. My bet goes to over heating, but I don't blame anyone for being concerned about this.

I left mine in the bottles. I put the bottles (one at a time) in a small pot, added enough water in the pot for 75% bottle coverage, heated the water very slowly until it was close to starting to boil (but would not boil), turned off the heat and let the bottle sit in the pot for about an hour. Put the top back on the bottle, gave it a good shake, took the top back off and set it in the cabinet overnight. It takes a while this way but it's similar to how i've done extractions so I just stuck with it. I should have tested the NF flavors prior to doing this so I could see how much stronger I made them. They seem pretty potent now. Now I have to keep myself from going on a spending spree with these people. I already have another 8-10 NF flavors that I want to try and i'm getting antsy...

I dont think it could have been from overheating, I never put it into boiling water. I brought the water to a boil, removed it from the stove, then put a pyrex custard cup with the flavoring in it into the water, about half way up the custard cup. I let it sit in the water for about 45 mins, with the heat on low .. however I could stick my finger into the water the whole time and it wasnt too hot. After that 45 mins I poured it from the custard cup into the plastic measuring cup just because I wanted something with a spout so that I could pour it back into it's original glass bottle. I just tried vaping the Butterscotch again tonight and wow, it is very delicious, even better than yesterday. Since no one else has had any problems like this I think it must have been some weird cheap plastic that the measuring cup was made out of that caused it to happen.

Right on Bovinia, I've been cooking my Mixes ( Adding my Nic after ) for quite some time as well,, I'm pretty sure I even posted about this in this or another ECX thread a ways back.

Just a guess here, but I'm thinking it may be one of the natural sweeter components melting down then crystalizing and hardening onto the surface, again just my guess.

I used 10% for the Butterscotch, which is high for me because I rarely go over 5% on any of my other DIY. This is great at 10% but YMMV. If I decide to keep vaping this I might lower it to 5-7%, the flavor is fantastic IMHO, I am just a little scared of it right now LOL.

That was my first thought too, when it happened. Since others have been vaping NF for a long time and didnt die .. at least none of them told us they died .. then I plan to keep vaping it.

Thanks for the info. I usually flavor at 15-20%. With the SC flavors, 1 drop per ml.
I still haven't tried my caramel Cream and Butterscotchx3. I just know when I try them, I'll love them, and I'll want to vape them all the time. I am a true caramel and butterscotch food lover. And I luvs me my fruity and sweet vapes, so whether or not I'll like it is a no brainer.

Hey guys! I submitted the wish list for hangsen flavorings. I hope ecx will get their NF soon. I plan on butterscotch. The plus side I can always use for cooking/coffee if I don't like. I know they ordered last week so it may take longer since I am sure it will be a bulk order.

LOL I had asked a sales rep for a current list of Hangsen flavorings. I suppose now I am on the list. They told me order soon because of the Chinese holiday.

Both of them are very good .. they both tasted GOOD right after mixing but after 24 hrs steeping they tasted GREAT. Today they are even GREATER and have been steeping for 48 hrs. Hard to decide which one I like better, they're both so good, I even tried them mixed together and that's great too! Both of mine are at 10% because I'm a flavor-wuzz ;-)

@Bovinia & Jewels...
I was going to try the NF Caramel Cream again at 20%. Have only tried it at 5% and didn't care for it. I've had the flavor a while and only have about 10 mil. Do you think it would make a big difference in flavor if I don't evaporate the alcohol first?

I just hate to lose 1/3 of this small amount by evaporating. :)
