Do the majority of PV users plan on quitting completely?

I'm not sure if I will quit vaping all together, but I do plan on going down to 0 nic. at some point. As a few OP have said...if the day comes that I do quit vaping, I will still always have an PV & juice on hand. Otherwise it would be too easy just to run to the store for one of those nasty's if I had a strong urge.

Hubby on the other hand...I don't think he will ever stop. UNLESS he quits drinking as that's the only time he vapes(rather than dips). But he has been much easier to satisfy. He's not into the flavors at all, tried USA mix, liked it & that is that.

I don't plan to ever quit vaping. I quit analogs the second I took my first puff from my PV, and I find it so enjoyable (never found smoking that enjoyable). Nicotine isn't any more harmful than caffeine, and I have no plans to quit that, either. I don't see why that would be necessary. It strikes me as odd how many people ask me when I'll quit vaping so I can get off of nicotine completely. No one ever badgers people to quit caffeine (or alcohol unless the person is an alcoholic). Society has been brainwashed by the antis to think that nicotine is evil or something. If others want to quit nicotine, that's their prerogative, and I respect that, but it's my prerogative to enjoy my life, and I love vaping, so I will always do so! If I did decide for some reason to quit nicotine, I would probably still vape. It's fun and it tastes good. Why stop?

No plan to quit vaping here. I'm of the "best laid plan of mice and man" school though so I never say never. My pv is my sub for cigs. I smoke a lot and now vape a lot. I do hope to go to 0 nic juice at some point and have reduced from 24mg to 11mg recently due to it being too much for me not because of an active plan to reduce. It will happen when if/when it happens...

I tried to quit smoking many times without success. I'd quit even trying to quit. I picked up an ecig to vape in rental cars and hotels (which are almost all non-smoking now) and a week later, I couldn't even stand my cigarettes. That was Oct. 12, 2009 and I haven't wanted to smoke again. I actually can't even stand the smell of them anymore, and it used to be a soothing smell to me.

As vaping goes, I don't really have a plan to quit, but I am slowly reducing my nic. I'm at 12mg now and if I stay there (or go lower again) I'm good with that. But I honestly don't think I could ever go back to cigarettes.

If it happens naturally, so be it.....I too, tried everything to quit analogs and I smoked for over 40 years and only vaping managed it for me. I have reduced my nic level and am currently using both 12mg and have just started ordering 6mg...But I think its because there are so many great juices out there, and I have several pv's in use, each with a different flavor, that I found myself getting too much nic with the 12mg...but quit totally??? NOT planning on it....
AND I am having way too much fun at this.....so many flavors and I am enjoying myself way too much....lol
:)

I don't plan to quit PVs, and I was closer to being done with nicotine before I started them than I am now. But if they become too much of a hassle/expense and/or I get bored with them, it could happen. It is nice to be able to get a little nicotine without putting soot in my lungs, but my nicotine addiction was pretty mild compared to most. I guess that means it would be easier for me to quit, but because I enjoy the act of vaping, the sensation in my lungs, the hand-to-mouth, the flavors... that is more "addicting" to me than the nicotine, so I don't see myself wanting to give that up.

I am just so happy not to be smoking cigarettes which in itself is a complete miracle as far as I'm concerned. I'm enjoying being cigarette free and really enjoying vaping.

Maybe when I get to the 6 month point I'll think about it. I'm just enjoying guilt free vaping. I'm not worring about nicotine level and not worring about stopping. Just enjoying vaping. I think we were so conditioned to feel bad about smoking we all have some kind of inferiority complex and almost feel guilty about vaping.

Too soon too tell...

Smoked 1 ppd for 32 years. Tried to quit unsuccessfully until e-cigs came along. Finally smoked my last one over a week ago with minimal withdrawl problems so far thanks to vaping. Will continue to use my PV for awhile more, working my way down to 0 nic. Right now it is a smoking substitute and ultimately, don't want to need anything at all. To be honest, the equipment also still has a high failure rate and the day to day use is a bit of a hassle, even when everything works perfectly. I also must add however, that it is a wonderful tool to quit smoking! At times it can be very pleasurable as well. Its too early to tell at this time if I will keep it up long-term. Have plenty of other hobbies anyway. That is just my personal viewpoint.

To the wonderful people who truly love vaping and take pleasure in assembling mods, experimenting with juices/flavors, collecting a variety of PVs and everything else, I say Bravo! May you enjoy it to the fullest for however long you wish! It harms no one and brings a measure of comfort to your life. One last thing...forums like these on ECF are extremely valuable from both a technical and particularly the social perspective...maybe one of the most important factors of all. There are awesome folks here on ECF and I'm sure some lifelong friendships have been made. That is most precious of all.

Peace
Dave

When I started vaping I was determined not to increase my dependence on nicotine or TH. Since I don't vape constantly I was able lower my nicotine level twice so far by just vaping extra to smooth it over. I started at 18mg and I'm at 6mg now. I do miss the TH. I am vaping a few 0mg liquids too buy I need to find some with nice throat sensation (and I am not a fan or menthol or all-day cinnamon). I don't know if I can go to 0mg. But I'll keep trying different juices looking for ones that feel or taste good enough at 0 to keep me happy. After that, then maybe I could think about stopping. I did find that as I lowered my nicotine level the less desperate my cravings became. That is nice.

If the way I'm going keeps up, I'll have to quit vaping.

Right now, I'm looking at mods. (And I've only been at this for less than a month).

If this keeps up, I'm going to be spending more vaping than I ever did smoking. That can't happen.

I think most of us have spent more than we expected in the beginning. Hang in there. Once you find your all day juice and device, it actually is much less expensive...

I felt that way as well in the beginning. It really becomes less of a hassle as time goes by. Once you settle into the pv you want to use and the juice you like, there's almost no thought to it. I've been using the same pv that I got when I started and doubt if I'll get anything else except a couple spare batteries. I use the same 2-3 juices almost exclusively now too.

I don't even get the cravings I did when I first started. Half the time when I go out I don't even bring it with me. I went out to dinner the other night and people in the group were leaving the table to go out to smoke and I did have my pv with me, I didn't even go outside. Too much trouble.
