I was a smoker. I hated when people preached quitting to me. I hated the fake coughs from 50 yards away. I hated walking in a building and someone saying way too loudly while looking right at me "WOW someone must really smoke it STINKS in here." I refuse to do anything of the sort to anyone.
I know from my own experience people will quit if and when they are ready to and not one moment before. I am always willing to explain vaping and let smokers try it but I do not preach.
I do resent being sent to the smoking pit to vape. I quit smoking because I did not want to breath smoke and now they are trying to force me to breath smoke again. THAT I am vocal about. That also has NOTHING to do with the smokers themselves.

I find it hard to hate them for doing what I did for more than half my life. It's more a pitty thing to me. The amount of money they spend and have nothing physical to show for it. I mean we spend ALOT of cash on our shiny stuff but at least we don't have to stomp it to the ground when we are done getting our fix (instead we can display it with utter pride!)
I harbor no ill will towards smokers. With the exception of rude and inconsiderate smokers--the ones who smoke by children and pregnant women, light up right next to people that're eating, and whatnot . But in reality, I'm just not fond of rude and inconsiderate people--vapers included 
With all the discrimination we've faced as smokers (and often still face as vapers), it would be hypocritical to jump onto the other team just because we're vaping instead. I have friends and coworkers that still smoke--I don't think myself above them because I was able to find an alternative. If anything, I sympathize with smokers for the way they're treated. Fact is, we still get a lot of the same treatment even though we're no longer smokers.
I'd love to turn more smokers to vaping, and I'm happy to talk vaping with any smoker that asks, but I'm not going to evangelize. I have family that try to convert me to Christianity every time I visit them, and it SUCKS--I refuse to subject another person to the same sort of one-sided discussion.

I don't hate smokers, after all where did all us vapers come from? I do get bothered a bit by the smell, but that's no reason to be mean or disrespect them. I usually just move. I don't preach about vaping, but I am always willing to answer questions and help people find good starting points if they want to try.

i dont hate smokers because i love telling someone i dont smoke anymore when they ask for an analog lol.
But my smoker friends seem to hate me and my pv! they have attitudes with me stating vaping will kill me or that its just the same or worse than analogs. I just inform them of what is in analogs and whats in ejuice. They pretty much shut up after that!

Smoke them if you got them or vape it if you prefer. I hated being demonized as a smoker. I will never do that to a smoker. We are all different in this world. Whether we smoke, vape, eat to much, don't eat enough and the day I judge someone else for what they do, is the day I want to be judge by someone. That won't be until I reach the maker, then he she it can judge me (depending on your beliefs).
So true Chablo...It's hard to argue against the truth, but some still do...I haven't had any of my smoker friends warn me against vaping yet, but as this becomes out in the news more and more it will be a tougher fight. Vape On!!!
For some of us, like myself, I had to get to the point where I knew for a fact it was affecting my health. Having to consciously force myself to breathe is generally a good motivator. It's sort of like having a chest cold and not being able to smoke but as soon as you feel a little better, bam, pull out a smoke and light it up...hacking and coughing the whole time. Not everybody is ready to quit or wants to quit, but at least being out in public and raising vaping awareness more and more smokers are giving it a try.

It's probably not a large amount but it's still there and they are only listing 6 foods. Since it is in tobacco plants I'm sure it is in others as well.
Nope. Don't hate smokers. People have to do a lot worse to hack me off. I don't like haters. So I guess you could actually say I dislike vapers who hate smokers. Seems awfully high and mighty to me. Besides, You get more bees/flies/converts with honey than with vinegar.
After reading through all the posts again the Professor that wrote the blog article in support of vaping and e-Cigs is being attacked by ANTZ's. Any real honest vaper's who support the article get attacked by people pretending to be vapers. There are about 6 bloggers stalking the site. They were claiming that we as vaper's hate smokers. I tried to argue the point on several different levels but it grew tiresome very fast and then one of them claimed to be an ECF member. It was fun for a little while but it was just me in the battle and it is not fun for long when everything is twisted and more then a little mental...One of the older commenters that the Professor was trying to reason with linked back to a youtube video by a very strange fellow who goes by Joel Spitzer...Definitely ANTZ

Wow, love whatcha have to say....my sentiments. We use to be smokers how can we "hate". That's just bizarre! One thing I told myself was I'm not gonna become a "Ex-Smoker" who goes around talking about smokers. I'm a vape-head that's what I am. I switched one for the other. My family's happy, doc's happy, but mostly I'm happy. Enough said.
