I wanted to know how everyone was doing by asking where you fall on the e-cigarette spectrum.

1. Still a smoker, have not started vaping yet but am thinking about buying an ecig.
2. Started vaping but still cant give up smoking. Dual user.
3. Quit smoking but continue being addicted to nicotine in ecigs.
4. Quit vaping and all forms of nicotine entirely.

#3 from the first day I started vaping 29 mos. ago, but I'm not sure I'm "addicted" to nicotine since I don't want more. I want less. I keep reducing my nic level from 9mg to 6 to 3 to 1 and now sometimes none. I do make my own. Don't really care to reduce it to 0 because I'm hoping I'll benefit from nic in my old age mind......but I've reduced it anyway without any problems........Am I tricking myself.....again. Ha! :)

Not quite sure where my daughter and I fit. Probably a reluctant #3.

We quit smoking cold turkey around 6 years before we discovered ecigs - not because either of us wanted to, but because we could not afford for both of us to keep smoking. The desire to smoke never really left for either of us. Around 4 years ago, stress and cravings were starting to push us toward smoking again. We got a couple of disposable Blus, and proved to ourselves that we could still be ex-smokers. We have since moved on to better equipment. Once we got cigalikes with refillable cartridges, we did try low nicotine, high vg eliquids, but they were not satisfying to us with the equipment we then had, and so we moved to higher nicotine and higher pg. As our equipment improves, we are playing with nicotine levels and pg/vg ratios.

Neither of us has any plans to quit vaping nicotine. My mother had Alzheimer's. I have cut the nicotine in my eliquids from 18 to 12, and I am now starting to see how things go with 6. At this point in time, I do not plan to go any lower than 6 mg nicotine. If they ever find an optimal level of nicotine to mitigate Alzheimer's symptoms, I will use that.

    Another +1 for #5.
#6 - Had no intention to drop cigarettes, even though I knew for most of the 30+ years that I was smoking that it wasn't good for me. Vaping changed that more than a year ago.

I'm going to add another- So #6 here.

I'd tapered down to 0mg in just a few months, but went back to 12mg for medicinal purposes.
Tired of nic at that point ruling my life for so long, but I'm not sure I could've given up the vapor and hand-to-mouth " addiction" anytime soon.

I'm also going 5. How about you, guyvelella? Which one of these described you? Maybe we will finally get to find out if you are a vaper or not.
