I made the mistake of purchasing a kit from a kiosk at a mall as I was desperate to quit analogs...
Miserable stuff! Started doing homework as I should of on here and ordered a great starter kit,
Simple Starter Kit(I am not shilling for this company)
what a world of difference! I have been vaping for a couple of weeks and took the advice from the
folks here and smoked if I felt I needed to. Smoking maybe a couple of analogs a day.
A big Thank You!, to the great and helpful people on this board! :)

Nice looking starter kit. Especially since it comes with the pass-thru and BOGE cartomizers. Good job!

Here's a great deal for replacing your BOGE cartomizers (includes free shipping).

Dont buy big bottles of liquid when you try them for the first time regardless if you have heard awesome reviews of them. I have tons of liquid i hate from doing just this.

Very good point. I did this with a full order once while I was deployed. Ended up with 5 huge bottles and 15 sampler bottles that I never used.

I definitely took the advice from this post as a newbie, and didn't even read it LOL.

I went with a reo grand, like the look of it, it's not bulky and everyone loves them. Not to mention with a 2400maH battery and a 6ml bottle I can fill it up and it will last for days. That was the main proponent of going this route. It set me back quite a bit, but I don't regret the decision and am happy where I'm at.

The only thing that is and will continue to be a challenge is finding the right juice. I bought about...100ml of liquid from 4 different vendors and have some interesting conclusions:

BWB has good flavor and vapor production, I bought the strawberry from them. It's a bit candy-like but vapable.
Johnsons Creek, I was a little dissapointed with this purchase. I got the chocolate mint and Winter's Chill(?) 100%PG free and the vapor production is god awful. Either I'm doing something wrong or this is just the name of the game. It sucks because I'd heard good things, and there were good reviews on their site..but literally almost 0 vapor on exhale makes vaping any of this stuff unenjoyable. The flavor isn't bad, but eh...not my favorite.
I got some HC-e (double flavor) Mint and Blueberry and so far these are my favorites (unfortunately from china). Both have a very strong taste and great vapor production. Whatever the mixture is it's awesome.
I also got some Dekang Juices after watching some reviews on youtube. Dr. Pepper, Peppermint, Honey and Blueberry. I got 2x blueberry on this order to compare, and I think the HC-e comes out way on top.

I'm using a 510lr 2.0ohm atty from Reo that I ordered with my mod. I ordered 3 and after a week decided to give the first atty a washing (boiling water, rinsed with isopropyl, blown out and set to dry overnight). The 2nd atty I threw on seems to not be hitting as hard. The first night I got the atty's I blew the primer out of them all (3 total) and am curious if I deadened it a bit by doing that and not using it right away..not sure..

Anyhow, I have a friend who swears by vaporbomb, so thats going to be the next purchase I make. I also got 2 18650, 2400mah Trustfire batteries. The first one lasted 5 days of pretty regular vaping and I decided to swap it out since I don't have a voltage reader..

Anyhow, this forum answered a TON of questions but I still have about 100. Gotta get that posting priviledge so I can start asking them all. But this thread is incredibly usefull.

- Always have stock, if you are in doubt you don't have enough stock ... you most likely don't have !
- Don't be afraid to try new things
- Size does not matter !
- A button to push is a good thing
- Read & Watch movies about what other people think, then give it a try

Good info! My husband did a ton of research before he started vaping so he was well prepared on his kit and liquids. I wasn't ready to switch, or so I thought. When we picked up his kit, the company gave me a free menthol starter kit. I haven't looked back. (Thanks Mad Vapes!) My husband had enough liquid that I could use his until my kit and liquid arrived. We have been vaping two months now and have no plans on switching back to the "stinkies". :)

Just started filling carts w/ juice after 3 months of Blu. I loved the Blu brand but wanted a better battery & faster shipping of carts (Walgreens is a 25% markup over retail online). I dropped about $100 on an Echo kit & 50ml of liquid w/ more juice en route.

Same lesson applies if you start DIY out of the gate or w/ training wheels for a while. Spend big to start out. It will pay for itself eventually & you will never have to watch the mail for your next supply when you're running low. Make a budget & stick to it whether or not you need more supplies. eg I order 30ml of juice every 2 weeks despite the cache I already have.

And I am still saving about $500/month vs my previous analog habit. :)

Good for the BOTH of you! And, kudos to Mad Vapes - I just ordered some CE2 cartos from them yesterday, and this makes me glad I did.

When I first tried to get my boyfriend to quit smoking, I bought him one of those cheapie starter kits from a local Ma-and-Pa cigarette store down the road from us. They were automatic batteries, which we would regret later. He loved it from the get-go until the hardware began to fail. Many of you know, automatic batteries (at least these ones) go bad faster than the ones with push-buttons. When suction sensor went... he was so frustrated that he went back to analogs.

We went through one or two different styles of batteries after this (thinner styles of the 510). He lurked on these forums to find good suppliers. After a few times being on again/off again with the analogs, we settled on the eGo-T style batteries. He has had 1 analog since they came in the mail and couldn't be happier.

Quality products really, really make a difference. With the longer battery life and less fuss over atties/carts, he feels less compelled to reach for his analogs. He can just pick it up and vape his brains out until the craving goes away.

Not to hijack the thread, but I want to say a big thanks to everyone who posts on these forums. Even for people without accounts or forum access, the information provided here is invaluable. I think we've finally found the system that will get him off analogs for good :)

Three weeks of hard vaping to get of analogs and so far success. I have had no equipment failures or even burned cartos. I have been lucky. I agree with the above in that quality equipment makes a big difference. If I had struggled with equipment I know I couldn't have made it. I started with the ego system and am into tanks and getting ready to move up the next step. It is really kind of fun trying different things. I am sure not all will work out or be like they said it would be but half of the fun is trying different juices and equipment.
