PaporPlas:

Thanks very much for such a speedy and comprehensive response (what a great community).

I feel like, as a new vaper, I barely understand half of your post... gotta go to bed; I will reply with some more questions over the next couple of days.

I would like to meet with any vapers in Manhattan... maybe some in-person interactions would help me progress better.

-Richard

Richard,

Sorry if I used too much "lingo". : / lol

Feel free to write and ask anything from myself of anyone on here.

Best,

Edwin

P.S. Spent a couple of months on Manhattan back in '08 on a project.... nice place.... nicer people. : )

P.S.S. If you are thinking about the PV I gave a link for here...call the guy at the webstore and ask him if he can give you the "Deal of the Day" price - $35 and that includes shipping!

Possibly one of the best and most informative posts I've read on the forums. Having been vaping for almost a year, and also starting on Blu as you did after your bad experience with the "free offer", I know everything you said is absolutely the truth. Since the Blu, I bought a set of Joye 510 batteries that my girlfriend at the time was using and got me hooked on, and from there I started getting hand me downs from my neighbor. He gave me his eGo, which I eventually lost, and now I'm waiting on a Silver Bullet in the mail, which I thought was entirely too expensive until I calculated how much I actually spend per month on Cigarettes since I lost my eGo. After that it was easy to justify buying the Silver Bullet. Today I just built a custom box mod with $20 of parts and batteries from Radio Shack, and a leftover 510 battery connector and atty I had laying around. It works wonderfully and tastes pretty good.

wonder issit worth buying V.V lavatube as my first kit

There will be people that say no because of their particular preferences, and others that will say YES. But, from everything I have read, sure!

Go into the lavatube forum and ask around to see why they like it and if it fits your needs. For sure, you could do a lot worse.

Good luck. : )

I am a new user and I really wish I would have taken this advice. Only been vaping a couple of weeks, but wasted a a load of cash on equipment that was too small for my needs.

Call the guy up at this website and tell him Edwin said you might be able to get this kit for $35 shipped. Tell him you have stuff that doesn't work, and low on dollars cuz it. If you like the cartos that come with this, he ships 5 of them for $14 total, too. Great deal, great way to get back some of that lost cash and have a good vaping experience, too.

Good luck! : )

I'm still gathering info trying to find out what the best setup will be for me. I'm thinking either sticking with pre-filled cartos or trying a tank. I'm looking more for convenience and as little mess as possible for now.

If you don't want eJuice all over the place and in your mouth...nix the tank idea. Go with these or other XXL cartos that are reviewed well...many peeps like the Boge cartos.

I think I cracked the $1000 mark with this mornings order since I started vapeing in Aug.

I ordered the kit you linked figure if I throw in a couple attys and a fluxo or 2 and all the left over juices I didnt like it should make a good starter gift/kit for my brother.
From the kit I ordered I received these emails
12:50 a.m order confirmation
5:54 a.m thank you for your order and they will ship shortly
7:12 a.m order shipped there out of Chicago so I should have my order fri or sat.

Received the kit today, Throwing in a couple of attys and fluxomizer and some juice and giving it to my brother tomorrow.

Most important thing said

It does not need to look like a cigarette

In my limited experience, the more it looks, feels and is the same size of a cigarette, the more limited, fiddily, less flavor, less vapor and runs out of battery power it is.

Someone on this forum told me that long ago, and I cant thank them enough for it.

I ended up with an eGo in various configurations and it works very well for me.

Some folks use e-cigs to get off of smoking, others turn it into a hobby, I am of the former variety, I dont need variable voltage, I dont need bottom feeding boxes, I just want something I can carry easily and works well.

This did that for me ( your mileage may vary )

Whe I started I would buy a single bottle of 30ml of fluid

now I usually buy 2 180ml bottles at a time, but that was only after I was sure of the juice I wanted.

You are right there too, stock up, as this will replace smoking very quickly if you are set up for it.
