There's a co-op thread by southernbuckhunter (butchered spelling sorry) that has clear windows for the duds, but chances are, it'll start popping up at your favorite vendors soon-ish (after the chinese holiday).

Question for johnlacie, those syringes you link from amazon, do you need any modification on it or just cut to length and install?

I have to say this thing wicks with provided mesh fine with no tipping required. I see no need for additional wicking that may be provided by finer mesh.

I gave up on finding a clear tube, I'll just wait and order the Chinese one. I keep a syringe in my case anyway, so it's easy to extract the liquid back out and see whats left.

I was just being a doofus. I actually said the same thing to my friend after I got mine working for a while, ha. Yeah, there will be clear tank sections available soon from the merchants who sold these. I don't know anything more about them other than them not being glass.

There are lots of tanks that use plastic, and I can't see them being more problematic than the standard metal one in terms of flex/torque, but I can see why you'd have reservations about the syringe mods for that reason and reasons of aesthetics. The only real problem will be whether or not they'll be of a type of plastic than can withstand cinnamon/citrus-y eliquids.

The more ghetto the better, hey, it's not like carvin up a zenesis. This one is all about function IMO, in fact mine looks crazy as shiznit. But it is blows clouds!!!

Kool, you da man. I'm gonna try out some of that 500SS too. Current coil is wicking much better after running 12ml of juice through it yesterday. It now wicks without the tilt, but seems to do a little better with a quick tilt/vape if that makes sense. Appreciate the post.

I have 10 Duds 4 came with black plastic mouthpieces and 6 with silver metal mouthpieces. Are these built by different factories?

I just got mine today. I must have watched every video on setting it up and figured I would have issues. I must say this is by far the best experience I have had vaping so far. I had a blast putting it together. Although I could have sworn I had my torch but I couldn't find it. I used a lighter for the wick and it was just as easy.

I wrapped the wick 5 times with the last one being perpendicular to the center post. Installed a new battery on the Lambo 4.0 and checked for resistance. I started with 1.4 after adding a few drops to the wick. After a few turns it crawled up to 1.6 and after about 30 minutes it went back to 1.4 ohms.

Currently set at 3.7 volts and I can't believe the taste, pull, warmth, and overall experience of this DUD. Im using a 70/30 juice and its magic. I can't get over the fact that it just worked from the start and as I learn more I can only guess it will get better.

My one small gripe and one that seems to be the norm is that the air vent tightens up around a quarter turn before the wick. Not good. I have to compensate by going the opposite way 3 quarters leaving a small gap in the overall look. Its still quite tight and hasn't moved on me yet. This could become more of an issue later on as I take this out with me and don't want to have to remove the drip tip every time to verify the location.

This is my first tank that is without a view of the juice and I hope soon, to find and make the 10ml syringe DIY but at the same time it sure looks cool and very sleek on the Lambo.

Overall I must say I am more than happy with this. Its like starting to vape all over again.

Cotton method seems to be what works best for me. It stays wet and doesn't taste off. In fact I taste the juice so well that I'm going to have to tone down my DIY liquid, its like I'm eating something rather vaping it. Refilling the tank has been a pain, its like the air inside has no where to go so it overflows prematurely. A clear tank would probably help see the situation better. I may try to make one this weekend until the clear tanks hit vendors.

The only thing I'm experiencing that is kind of weird is how very fast the resistance climbs as I use it. My first good coil, I had to remove a couple wraps to get it back down to around 2.5. I guess I need to explore how to clean the coils to prevent this. Other than that I'm pretty sold and am now starting to seriously look at high end rebuildables.

Hey guys does anyone know if its normal for the tank part of this to get hot when using, its getting pretty hot, not as hot as the part where the coil and wick are at but pretty hot just the same, is this normal. Thanx Ron

Mine gets pretty warm on the top cap and very upper part of the tank when I chain vape.

Don't bother,I've got 3 other high end genesis atty's and none of them work any better than this clone.You're better off buying more of these or a bunch of clear tanks when they are available.

My DUD seems to be working fine but I get less vapor from it than my gripper with a 1.7 cart. I have messed around with coils to try to find more vapor. Tried 6 coils, 5 coils, 4 coils and now at 3 coils. 3 coils gives me 1.3 ohms. 6 was about 2.5ohms.

It vapes fine, seems like it takes a few seconds to kick in though. Wicking doesn't seem to be the problem as the wick is always looking damp. I have no hotspots and can keep it on power for as long as I dare without any hotspots, like 15 seconds. The vapor seems to get better the longer the hit, but I would like a quicker hit.

I was hoping to get more vapor from this than using a cartomzier on the gripper. Maybe that is a tall task or am I doing something wrong.

It takes a bit longer to heat up because the mesh absorbs some of the heat. You can either push more amps to heat it quicker or just primer puff a bit.

Yeah, that seems to be the case. I guess i am pushing about edit~ 9.8 amps ~should be watts ~ end edit. now. I just have a 3.7 volt mod so I guess it is either a new vv mod, a kick, or thicker wire? Seing as I am down to 1.3 ohms and 3 coil wraps I don't think I can push it further with my set up.

Although I will say I do appreciate the benefits of the DUD = not having to refill carts all the time, not having to buy carts, etc. It still satisfies my nicotine needs, just was hoping for great clouds of vapor......
