Was told today in my local vape shop in uk a decision will be known by the new year if e liquid is to be banned ! Only be able to buy cartridges if it is. Just because it's poisonous. I could drink a bottle of bleach under my kitchen sink. Don't understand do they want people to start smoking again. If this happens I would probably end up smoking after two years which would be so sad.

Is it really going to get banned all over UK? If that is true, it won't be long until rest of Europe follows... And then rest of the world..:-x

But didn't the UK just have the NHS admit eciggs are 95% safer than tobacco cigs?

This makes no sense.....

I believe your being misinformed. 24MG will be banned under new EU rules that come into power next spring.

They also want to charge companies for an expensive toxicology test that most can't afford for every flavour in every strength.

Another directive is a leak free filling system on all heads but not sure how they plan on doing that they will also be banning heads that csn be "tampered" with I.e changing coil, RBAs etc.

Totally Wicked are the only company that have been allowed to take it as far as Brussels thoufh.

Yes I had already heard about what you are saying but they are say also that the e liquid is extremely poisonous and should not be sold. I so hope my shop is wrong and you are right. The owner of the store recently went to France to sample new e liquids but won't stock anymore until a decision is made. He said if it happens he will turn his store into a coffee shop lol. He seemed quite worried as he has 4 or 5 stores.

This, as every other money grab, is going to backfire on them. Prohibition strikes again....we've gone from bathtub gin to bathtub ejuice. All while giving law enforcement another meaningless task to accomplish, spreading them even thinner. Way to go government. When did they forget the by the people, for the people part?

nobody can ban PG, VG, and food flavoring. its really only the nic that can be made difficult to get. however, it is just a medical ingredient. it could be purchased long before vaping was a thing. worst that can happen is you need to DIY. there are tons of recipes which you can find and easily make yourself if there are ever restrictions placed on ejuice. regulation will take the form of controlling the sale of premixed liquid not anything you do yourself as the ingredients are benign.

The tobacco products directive article 20 is the most ridiculous legislation to come out of the EU and that's no mean feat and will massively impact vaping if it's implemented. Only tanks of 2ml or below limits to the strength of liquid and costly hurdles placed in order to sell it. Buying nicotine in the UK before vaping was not easy you had to hold a poisons licence and those are not easily obtained. What's more worrying are the amendments being planned which would mean no websites selling or discussing vaping within EU member states and restrictions on hardware with mechs totally out. It wasn't the UK's NHS that did the study and came out in favour of vaping it was public health England which at best is an advisory on policy but within a day of their positive report coming out the pharmaceutical shills were hard at work discrediting it to the point of rendering it politically impotent. Sadly even if we in the UK vote to come out of the EU in 2017 this legislation won't disappear our domestic politicians have already been bought and paid for and no longer do what's best for citizens of the UK only what's best for their pockets and future directorships very bleak future for vaping in the UK best you can do is stock up on nic liquid and get as many tanks and mods as you'll need for a few years.
