Does the carto start to taste funky after 3 days or do you do the dry burn as part of a normal cleaning cycle?

I ask all this stuff because I only have 3 cartos to test and don't want to hose them up.

It's been 4 refills on one of them, about 3 days and I smells like it is taking on a funky smell.
On my first one, I waited until the taste changed before doing a dry burn. I should not have not been doing that. On the second burn, the crud was too hard for the coil to burn it off. It finally died during my attempts to burn it off. Maybe that won't happen with another one, but I am too afraid to wait that long on the rest to find out.

It does seem to get a harsh almost burnt taste. That's when I clean.
I think the darker liquid builds up on the coil faster. You can see a "lump" around the coil when I clean them. It is hard and crusty before the dry burn then turns to ask that can be brushed away. I use a dentek brush (pic in an above post)
You may be right about your darker liquid. My liquid is light and the taste did not change for several days. Maybe that's why my lump got so hard?

After some more time w/ the 808 CE2 I'm testing I've noticed something. It seems to work better w/ short, analog like draws. I think these cartos work better w/ this in mind. Even w/ short draws the hit is decent. I don't get the burnt/dry taste near as much and it's working great now.

I actually favor my auto batt over the manual w/ it, probably because I'm use to holding the button down for super long draws.

It seems like these require a slightly different vaping technique, at least w/ the one I'm using now.

I'm thinking that a case of these things may last me for the rest of my life. But then, I may not live long enough for the XL's to get here, heheh.

That's the spirit! Think positive. :p

I suspect something is going on. I expected older orders (like mine) to be shipped out by now. I hope the COV customer reviews are positive.

Some of us have been vaping them about like that from the beginning. For me, the heating coil is so fast that I can constantly take little sips to keep me going. Every now and then I have to put this damn thing down to keep from getting too much nicotine.

I agree to some extent about the auto battery. My last one bit the dust yesterday.

I agree. I love the short draw. My jaw doesn't ache anymore.

Amazon.com: Branson Tray, Perforated, For Ultrasonic Cleaner, 1/2 Gallon: Home Improvement

This one is kinda pricey. I have seen others that are less.

I think there are better filling and re-filling methods that many people will find more acceptable. These tips I'm thinking of buying are also Luer Lock, which will work on Luer Lock bottles:

and/or

Both of them are 20 gauge, and they have many other gauges availble. SmallParts is the name of the company, and you can buy them through Amazon. (smallparts com and amazon com for reference)

Also, where is the best place to buy 20 to 40ml Luer bottles? Does somebody know?

I still think these would be more widely acceptable, WITHOUT the syringe
of course

as soon as I find some small 15 or 20 ml luer bottles I'm getting all three of these

Well, 4 actually, I would also get the 30ml bottle (bad already found these).
