I'm going to re-do bad's mod with extra folds in the PTB, but the vapor on that thing is killer. You can tell that more juice has to be getting to the coil. The "harshness" I'm talking about isn't a dry kinda taste. It's an intense, kick you in the azz too much flavor kinda vape. There's no loss of flavor at all. Massive throat hit.
I came up w/ them based on his descriptions. When he mentioned 'A' didn't hold up to back/back hits I thought it must be stock. When he mentioned 'B' was a vaping beast but harsh I thought yours, because the extra PTB wicks better or more intensely. Since 'C' wicked great and held up to back/back hits that left his to choose.
I can't tell you anything about using one of these on a eGo's voltage, but I can tell you how these work on L88b batteries. They friggin rock. Still only get about 30 minutes on a batt, but it's a rocking 30 minutes. Vapor is great, taste is close to dipping on a Volcano atty. These tiny batteries have to be the very lowest end available, but with these cartos they step up to the plate and hit a homer.
The E2s I have are 2.5 ohm using 70/30% VG/PG. I'm on my second CE2 with these and it's consistent. I know a some of you are using Little Sister or other variable voltage mods, but these seem to be just about right. Edit: I just reread this and I really don't want to bait the Blu bashers. I have these and I just wanted to see if they worked, which they do well. I'm not saying that anyone should go buy anything, but if you have a L88B, try it it works great.

Tomorrow (oh damn, it IS tomorrow), I'm going to take all three and do a leak test. I don't really expect any of them to leak though (well except maybe the stock carto if the inner ring isn't sealing right).
For *my* personal taste at 3.7v, the partial PTB is the winner. I think if you like 5v vaping you'll like bad's better, but you'll only have to use 3.7v to get there. Sound about right, bad?

I was really expecting to open them up and be surprised. Again, NOT a scientific test but worth the effort I think.
yup, good test and good results and yes i agree, my mod is harsh in the way your describing, no dry harshness since it doesnt get dry, but its very intense, but again my mod is dependent on making a goood ptb with the perfect folds etc..
Nice, I'll await that too. As long as the filler ring wasn't touched in the stock one it shouldn't leak, at least they don't in my two XL's I'm testing.
BTW, what 'mg' were you using 'banjo'?
bad, one thing I've wondered all along is why you cut the wicks. Wouldn't your method work just as well shoving the same amount of PTB down alongside the existing wicks?
banjo when i leave the wick s i feel a resistance in wicking, even though its improved with the ptb i feel it better when cutting the wicks off.
I'll say this about the "stock" carto: If I hadn't had the other two to compare it against, I probably would have been happy with it. As long as I didn't hit it back-to-back if had great taste, decent vapor and no harsh taste.
my guess is that you would end up with too much wicked clutter in the carto, and near the end, the e2 wick will hang on to its liquid andnot want to release it to the coil.
i don't know if anyone has done this test, but i have a feeling that if you vape a carto until it runs out of liquid, there will still be lots of liquid in the e2 wick inside the carto, you may also see charred sports on it. So if you leave 6 or 7 inches of e2 wick in there (3.5 inches each side), then thats' a lot of liquid that never makes it to the cup.
the liquid in the e2 wick, when it's 6 inches long, and charred and misrouted, can also possibly get in a tug-of-war and not even completely travel to the cup

That's weird. I'd think the PTB would just pull extra juice in addition to whatever the stock wick was bringing up. Good to know, though.
Yeah, banjo, I was wondering the same thing. I think if one is leaking but wicks well 'banjo's mod would be good. If one leaks and is slow at wicking then 'bad's mod.
I'm guessing "my" mod puts a bit of PTB at the top to act as a "reserve" of juice. It soaks up juice from the wicks and stores a supply close to the coil. In a way you might say it helps the carto do the job it's supposed to be doing in the first place. bad's mod just turns it up a notch.*

thats exactly it banjo, when i do your mod it makes the e2 work the way it was meant to work.
