you could take 2 xl's and gut them, remove the connector and remove the cup and push out the pin, leaving a empty tank. seal the bottom. there is no inner plug in the side tanks except a sealed mouth peace so they would be super easy to fill, pop it off and fill them up, it could hold 2.4 probably in each tank.
do that to both, now drill a hole in the bottom of each and in the main working e2, connect them with tubing as they are now tied together, fill them up with juice and now you have a mean ... E2

ill be honest here, i dont know what to do now, ive tested all i can test i think, i get all the vapor i could want, its wicking perfectly with my mod, tastes greart, isnt leaking, works incredibly well.

So now what?? seriously. do i just sit back and enjoy them now?

i told you before, bad, you could start fixing the cartos for members who are not as handy as you are, lol.
i gotta ask banjo if he did the ptb thing on the 401s. i had a hard time getting the patches down the sides and, most importantly, afterwards the
vapor itself seemed to have changed.
i still think those cartos are our best option but i myself need them to be good to go right out of the box

Hey everyone!!! I've been trying to catch up with this WHOLE thread... Its been my reading material every night for MANY nights because when I would find a suggestion it would take time to "try it out" before I could get back to reading (it would also speed things up if I would bring my reading glasses home from work...seriously). I have fairly good eyes. But MAN those holes are TINY and there always seems to be a glare or a shadow getting in the way of filling or doing anything else with them. Lighting also an obvious issue I'm workin' on. Easiest way for me to use the syringe it came with while the inside cap is removed by dripping it down the side until it reaches mid cup.

ALSO sooooo many thanks to all of you that posted meaningful mod suggestions!! They saved my experience with these babies because the only batts I own are V4L and some mods, all 3.7 or 6volts: SB, MK2, WetBox....and cant wait for my Little Sister which is on order. I'm PSYCHED about her too! YOU KNOW IT!! I have short 3 ohm E2 808s and 3-3.2 ohm XL808 on order. I know I've seen someone on here say they were pissing themselves while waiting... I'm not gonna be the one to say it... but I can now relate!!!

THE PTB ROCKS THE HOUSE IN!!! I really don't care about any of the other issues now. I was a very committed V4L premium user...and tried all 3 V4L carto styles, both 510, 901 attys (with bridge and mesh removed) on 3.7 & 6volts AND both in LV AND HV. I never liked anything more than a V4L premium on 3.7volts.
THESE KILL (in a good way of course) EVERYTHING I'VE EVER TRIED BEFORE WITH THE PTB!!! IMO MUST also poke holes in wick/coil if you don't cut any of the original wick out for no wicking problems vaping at 3.7. Flipping it over to get the juice back up the wick is also IMPORTANT!! Painfully and disgustingly dry and burnt if you don't AT LEAST use PTB and poke holes btwn coils, at 3.7volts and 2.5ohm first gen ceramic 808s. I actually use 4-6 "layers" of PTB (I STILL don't know how that converts to "folds" BTW...musta' missed that when reading this painfully long but wonderful thread). I use a thin strip of PTB the length from bottom of inner-carto to top of cup. If I use fewer than 6 layers of PTB there is gurgling & juice spatter. Have yet to try the shorter PTB.

Before I found the mods that worked THE WETBOX was my SAVIOR!! THANKS COV & Missy!!

My only batch (30) is the first ceramic E2s 808 2.5 ohm. I have tried all suggestions that I have read on this thread that seemed realistic to me. I TOO ORDERED ON 9/2 and Kristy said 4 days ago 3 days to ship. I guess I didn't bug them early enough to get the "tomorrow" answer (ha ha)

After reading all of this I feel like I am a part of this thread. You guys CRACK ME UP!! Thanks for all the laughs!!

I haven't pulled my PTB mods apart yet to see which one is modded in which way. I think I have 4 configurations going in about 10 cartos....3 different flavors total. I'm gonna vape them for a while longer before I pull them apart to look. I'll keep you guys posted on that. They all make me VERY HAPPY!! I'm a "fruit" vaper....I like cherry especially and other fruits by V4L and make my own VG to prevent side effects that I had from PG. Cutting down (not needing to quit PG...worked for me).

PTB is available in cases of 6 boxes for 19 bucks on amazon just so ya know (I think thats cool!).

I don't take juice with me any more. I take 5 filled cartos and use about 3.....and I can CHAIN it at times for SURE.

With the mods...it now is acceptable on my V4L batts, very good on my MK2 (which used to be my fav), GREAT on the WetBox!! They have all (knock on wood) had perfect threads. I did kill a WetBox by over squirting it and it leaking into the sealant. Shame on me for being so mindless on my WetBox (hadn't read much of the tread yet :( )....IMMEDIATELY got online a purchased a new one from COV!!! BRUCE ROCKS!!! I have 2 wetboxes now... IMO they seem necessary for the E2. They are 3.7volts like most of my batts but when using with the Wetbox, the 808 2.5ohm first gen ceramic doesn't have "nearly" the wicking problem even without the mods, than any other 3.7 device I have tried them on. That's without using the refilling mechanism at all on the wetbox...it still works for some reason sooooo much better than the MANY other 3.7s I have.

The little sister sounds necessary too. I'll keep you posted on 'er!!!

Warning for those first time "cutters of the wick"....Try not to cut the wick TOOOOOO close to the edge of the coil on the first side you cut, because I KILLED 2 cartos while cutting the 2nd side out....the wick just sort of slid out of the coil while trying to cut the second side (like it had nothing to hold on to on the other side or inside the coil). The only 2 only dead cartos so far, I killed in this way.

VAPE ON AND THANKS SO MUCH!!!

""The mail has come yet today""

so zoidman. are we speaking in royal smoker language now or was that just a mistake.lol

I think a little of both.

The mail has been delivered and the Eagal has Landed. Thank You.

I haven't vaped one yet but I can tell say two think about them allready.

1) The unfilled carto gave off a very strange, chemical smell when I dry burned it.

I would suggest that any getting these cartos dry burn them and then rinse the out BEFORE filling.

2) The cup seal, small knockes, seemed to go on the cup much better.

I'm going to let them dry out completely before vaping one. Want to see how well it wick with no water on the wick.

On the R3 cartos, how do you (or can you) put the bottom o-ring back on? I gave up on one and just put the middle 0-ring on top of the cup, then the mouthpiece.

'zoi' uses a drywall screw and 'bad' uses the syringe cover. If you're using the PTB mod you can just turn the second ring flat side down.

try to center the cup, the slide the inner plug in flat, and use something like an eraser end of a pencil or something bigger then the center inner plug hole and push down till it touches the cup , then gently press it in and apply a little pressure to the edges and press around the whole plug to get it to sit properly., with practice its not to hard.

you can also place it backwards or use the center plug like you did

I received 3 packs of the regular size 510 R3's today, so I can finally discuss these with y'all with (very limited) experience. Yaay! I am extremely impressed. I did 3 or 4 5-second dry burns until there was no visible emissions, filled 'em up with .8ml from a hand-dandy 1ml syringe the pharmacist at Rite Aid gave me for free.....and WOW! Short drags spew out vapor like a LR atty, taste is consistent right until they're dry, wicking hasn't been an issue for me holding them with the battery end titled up. Stoked. Hope they'll last as long for me as for some people.

Oh, and I removed the mouthpiece and middle ring and replaced them with a drip tip. Air flow is better this way, and I like the peeled carto + SS drip tip look on an eGo. Plus, the peeled carto vapes better, less tight.

Thank you pioneers for bringing these to my attention, doing so much awesome work modding and providing feedback for the manufacturer, and for the jealousy-inducing videos that got me to get 'em. Oh, and the funny stuff too (propeller carto design...turned phallic by dirty minds). :)

im glad your enjoying them, yeah i cant stress it enough, if oyu have a 2.6 e2, then using it on ego is perfect and with short drags it simulates analogs to a T, if you happen to get any dry taste, you can ..... the coil area or fluffin the wick in the slit area.

The true taste should come in after a minute of good use and the vapor is amazing for sure.

I can do that, just figured I'd see what everyone's sweet spot was.

BTW, the cartos I got from e-liquid.cn all came in without rubbers, WTF is up with that?

That's new to me, but if I think about it, they're very well sealed in the hard plastic wrap.
That, and also that they're fairly disposable after several times, and the condoms tend to cause a lot of vacuum and pressure differences insdide the cartos?

Well my order from China was sent to the wrong address. They are trying to deliver it in New York and I live in Florida. Post Office says the shipper has to fix it and I get no help from ecigfair. Oh well I guess I'll give the New Janty cartomizers a try.

This sucks!

Wayne

It's 11 am there now, maybe they will answer you soon, I choose e-liquid.cn over ecigfair though. So I don't know much about ecigfair, other than what I would do is email them with your order #.

Either way, they only arrive through San Francisco or New York it seems.
