ok v1john, here is the coil dry burn test, a quick one for now.
the wires below the cup get hot, not as fast as the first e2 and this one was at 2.6 ohm, the wires never glowed even at 30 seconds, the cup glows through but the wires never changed color.

Nice video, thanks!

I blew out the primer on the ones I received from COV to a white tissue and definitely did not see any blue hue. Were these ones with the blue tint just received this weekend from the factory? It would be nice if the product dates on the boxes actually meant anything...

None of the 808's from COV purchased at the same time had any primer on them, it's definitely not needed. I noticed slightly better wicking with the 808's than the 510's, I've yet to get a dry vape on any of the 808's but still occasionally get the start of it on the 510's.

Maybe we are seeing product from the end of the run with primer and products from the new run without primer (hopefully, maybe, wishful thinking). Or perhaps some of their employees got dragged off the atomizer line to help get these produced and doused them with primer in error.

BR, the anticipation now must really be killing you. lol soon br soon
What do you mean, soon? That's what you said yesterday, that's what you are saying today, and probably what you will say tomorrow. But that's okay. I've read the China web page long enough to learn not to fall for that line of talk.

About no sealer in the bottom. Is the silicone insulator on the battery post the only thing supporting the entire assembly? If so, I would think that the assembly would be slightly movable, unlike the older units. In addition, I'd expect the assembly to move slightly when a battery is screwed on to it. If that's the case, I don't know if I like that or not.

No need for a video. I'll find out what I want to know one of these days.

Yeah, right. I've heard that usps line before, too.

A long time ago, we tried to see if we could get a wick section wrapped around the coil. Does that sound like an interesting test now that you have the open carto in operation? I don't know how you would vape it now though.

no way to vape it though, whats funny is i dont get wicking issue on the 3.0 ohm when using it on 3.7 or 5 volts.

and the lower ohm 2.5 to 2.6 dont have issues on my lower volt stuff like riva ego etc... even on 3.7 they are much improved in the wicking department even though i have found a few that needs the coil looser. I have had the dry taste on 2 out of 8 on occasion but nothing to crazy and it fixed itself after the next drag

and i cut 2 more open, no blue tinted juice or primer but i will start randomly opening some from my other boxes here and see if i can find it in those.

refresh its ready
Yeah, the refresh got ready, and then the server got too busy. lol.

I saw what I needed to see. I think. I believe the entire assembly will push out of the fitting after the battery is removed. I don't think it will come out under normal use. I'm just guessing at this point, tho.

Great videos Bad, thanks. Can't speak for what others have received but the ones you have appear to be very cleanly constructed and the only fluid that appears present is what the wick is soaked in(primer).
Would like to see some pics of the cartos mentioned with the blue tinted fluid to see if it could be from the manufacturing process, but from what I can see these are much better constructed than the previous ones were.

All the best,
Wing.

Warning Notice:

One of the very first 510 XL cartomizers that I unpackaged had a "dented" thread section at the 510 battery connector. The "dent"was bad enough that the deformed ID of the threaded end was in contact with the center pole, creating a short. Had I not noticed that and screwed it onto my eGo/Tornado battery, the battery would have been ruined within a few seconds.

Please inspect your cartomizers before use!

where are the pics

well, apparently production is not consistent with zoid's friend getting cartos with some kind of fluid where bad is not seeing any of that.
bad can you email martinez and ask what the fluid might be? zoid do you have a camera that would pick this up?
maybe the best thing to do is to clean the cartos before use

I opened my last carto and here is what I found...

carto_1.jpg

carto_2.jpg

It isn't water. I put a small drop on the white paper and then put the paper under a desk lamp. The water evaperated but the liquid from the carto has not.

The liquid from the carto feels oily but that is by no means a scientific evaluation.

Also. Why is the wick in the dis-colored on the right hand side? I not sure if it is related to the liquid that I found inside the carto.
