(There's nothing bad if it's Lipton, but they MUST make it THIN as ptb!)

It needs to be THIN and replaceable.

Now as for the glue pyramid, read my post a few hours ago, we thought Bad posted a picture that had a putty pyramid, and I explained that it may not be bad...

...but is it cured? Have you vaped one yet?

__________
maybe nobody told them it has to be thin and cylindrical like a straw and that it works better without the wicks

It looks like a piece of those dryer fabric softener like Bounce. Hot glue doesnt need to cure..just re-solidify. Question is how does it react with juice and PGA?

I have vaped one..it has no primer..they got that part right...but it has a taste for the first 20 hits or so that remind me of cutting fluid we used in the machine shop..metallic taste kinda.

Yeah that's got to be a joke....If that's R4....I'm done with this.

That struck me as odd when I saw the date on it and Bad said they are still testing it still! I figured I would at least get the 3.5 or whatever. There is no shrink tube on it..what is in the pics is everything!

yeah, why they sent you out that i have no clue and thats simply horrible.
while the pics form today have no glue anywhere I dont know what the hell that is that they sent.

Well the pictures do clearly indicate there is an anti-leaking fiber, but someone should have told them it has to be as thin as a Lipton fiber, and the wick needs to be cut.

The pic also does state that there is no glue, but there is no evidence that there IS glue, that could very well be silicone, or something other than glue. Glue usually holds pieces together, and I don't see the pieces, so I wonder if it's a sealant or silicone. If so, then it's true, no glue, and with improved fiber mod

They used the wrong fiber though, didn't they read the posts and Bad's video about the Lipton fabric?

_______

Shrink tubing may be hazardous, so your carto might be the 4.1 and the shrink-tubed the 4.0?
--depending on what the vaper's favorite solvent ejuice is, it could leach out the plasticizers out of the carto; Years ago they had articles about leaching out Chlorine or something out of PVC

hot glue would have no purpose, other than to melt at a certain temp. how did you melt it? what temp?
--if it's sealant, why isn't it stuck to the connector??

im guessing thats what they made right after the r3v2 before this final version R4 and since they made them already they just shipped them AGAIN, unfreackenbeleivable.

NO NO NO, the R4 has no glue, no silicone, no sealant, what the hell that is in the pics I have no clue.

I dont have the issue with the filler, it looks porous and the needle slid in on video with ease. its removable in a second, just pull it out, but it stops the leaking in the slits, why its that long I have no clue since the one i saw was not that long.but then again i need to see how the filler reacts touching the cup.

the beta pic i showed yesterday had the glue but that wasnt for sale that was just a test one they added the sleeve on. so again i have no idea why they sent you that.

It is hot glue period! If this is the R4 they have the silicone cup (with the two fill holes) that surrounds the ceramic cup and it has grooves to relieve where it contacts the wick on the outside and the inside comes right down to the coil plugging the gaps in the ceramic cup. It doesnt leak at all and I have been using it since noon. Its been in my pocket to soccer games and yard work..no problem. The glue concerns me though!

Well, this is just a guess but I think this is a early test version of the R4, why you received them I have no idea. Looks like they tried the hot glue to fix the leaks - pre rubber seal, early test version of the anti leak fiber.
A better question is if they produced a batch for internal testing how did it wind up at the warehouse for shipping?
I am all set to pull the trigger on another order but will wait a just a tiny bit longer, its not like I will run out of my 1st 2 orders for awhile.

nicotime, sorry to see this happen to ya, I really hope that this was a oops and they correct it for you promptly.

All the best,
Wing.

and if thats regular filler from a carto, and doesnt that dull the flavor.

or does the flavor get dull on old cartos becuase of the heating element touching the filler?

since the heating element in the e2 doesnt touch the coil then using this filler thing around the cup shouldnt be a issue???

Thanks Wing..I am going to sleep on this as I dont want to contact them in the mood I'm in right now. If they would have used silicone instead of hot glue it would be no big deal to me...but hot glue!!...cmon!!

Another thing to watch is at the connector..where the threads end and the flat begins it only has about a .010" wall...so the threads can be easy to snap off if your not careful!
