The Tekkeon does have long lasting batteries, but they appear to be Nhaler batteries, I don't think you can get 18650 batteries to work on it unless you buy them only from them. It does look nice for a box though (like a cigar), but too big for an electronic cigarette for me.

I wonder when we'll see e-cigarette-sized ones, it may be that they only need 1000 milliamp hours, many would be glad to have ecigs with just 1000mah, and just 2 to 3.9 volts... No usb port needed on it either, otherwise might as well put a digital camera and cellphone on it, then it would be convenient for me to carry around... but it does look nice.

I wonder if anyone's modded one of them yet.

(A long time ago I wondered about modding the $59 Kesington,
Portable Power Pack for Mobile Devices - K38021US - Kensington )

Or mod the $36 Tekkeon from Amazon? interesting:
Amazon.com: Tekkeon TekCharge MP1800: Electronics

i have the $59 Kesington and it doesn't put out the amps it says it does but can work as a so-so USB power source, i would look at it for gutting the electronics and doing a VV from BUT the Tekkeon is what everyone else is using it seems, save a few 10's of $ but why not just buy one form one of the MANY people who have turned that Tekkeon into a VV, not worth it to me to reinvent the wheel UNLESS i want to test a new "shape" for it but that's been done to death IMHO with 2 or 3 all now the winner

So I seem to be having major wicking issues with my 510 xl e2s, I ended up filling it with 2 ml of juice the first time and got nothing so I put about 2 more ml in there and barley got anything from it. I am using a ego. I would like to avoid modding if possible. I just got them from CoV a few days ago (the have a notched filler cap(that seemed to matter))

Wow, it should have juice flowing out all ends. I assume you drained the 2ml before putting another 2ml in?! When you say you're getting nothing what do you mean? No vapor, th, etc?

No I didn't drain the juice out and I thought something should be happening. I even turned it over to see if I would pour out, it didn't. What I mean is with the estimated 4 ml the best I would get is 1 or 2 normal hits and then after that I would get the nasty dry wick taste.

The juice should've been overflowing over the cup/filler ring w/ that amount; it will spill over on mine even if I go a little over 2ml... and you should be getting juiced too. That's way too much juice!

Minus the insane amount of juice you put in your description sounds like slow wicking. Minus doing the PTB mod, which you said you don't want to do, you can try taking shorter drags, tilting upside down to replenish the wick. I would try filling one up w/ only 2ml again and letting it sit.

Also, what ohm's are you using?

And then you wonder why i want to give you 1000 paper cuts in between your toes as i pour pure grain alcohol over each cut.
You knew about the resistor for the passthrough this whole time and you just kept it a secret????, bad bad bad BR.

Sure, I knew about common resistors. Do I have to tell you kids everything?

I believe it is 2.5 ohms and even with the 4 ml I still couldn't even see the juice while using a flashlight to look down in there.

An XL will not hold 2 ml. Regardless of what kind of measurement you are going by, fill it up to at least the bottom of the cup. If you accidentally get too much, just blow it out.

Something's very wrong with you mesurments: 2 ml should about fill an thimble, there's no way to get 4 ml into any XL E2 from COV, I have wicking issues too but not with a full XL, somehow you're not filling it up.
You can take all the rings out and fill dripping down the side untill the cup fills up then blow out what ended up in the tube from the overflow into the cup, know it is full then

That's the thing 'br' but he put 4ml in it! I just can't imagine... mine overflow a little when I get close to 2ml. They'd be a juicy mess if I go past that. I'm not calling you a lier 'ghost', just trying to figure out this for you. I'd still try another at close to 2ml and try again. 2.5ohms should be a good match for the Ego.

ok you guys... I feel like a freaking ......... So I bought the syringe from CoV as well and just noticed I have only put about .4 ml... lol. I some how did not see the "." wow...

That explains it! I just couldn't get my head around 4ml, it would be a mess! Just fill slowly and when you see a little juice out the other hole-stop. Like 'br' said, 2ml is not an exact but a ball park.
