Ew, I am really getting tired of all the price adjusting on eBay. I had no problems ordering my first istick from vapeoutlet, so I pre-ordered from them again. Then they dropped the price so that the $31.99 I paid would include a charging cable. So I emailed them to ask if I could get the cable too since the current price includes it. I was told no, it's $3 extra! And now suddenly the price on the listing changes again, which isn't as low as it had dropped to 2 days ago, but still lower than what I paid w/o the cable.

Argh, I can see how some people don't want to deal with pre-orders, I just wasn't in a rush and wanted to save a few bucks. But obviously there's no "price protection" like on Amazon or something. I can't believe she wants to charge me $3.00 for the dumb cable when I already paid $1.29 more than they're currently selling for!!

Well hopefully by the end of the week I'll have my third and they seem to be all I'm using these days. They won't last forever so a year or whatever down the road when I need to replace hopefully there will be a V2, same size, in a beautiful Emerald green that I can replace with;) (you know if they come out with Emerald green I'll have to buy one ...even if the other three are still going strong):D

I Really like the way this vapes. Better than my RMS devices. Is it a great idea to have them change that??

Yes. When you get V2 you just need to crank it up. I'd like to see the proverbial shoe on the other foot for a change. :D

Not if the V2 lowers the most powerful wattage - voltage possible, lowers what is advertised as a high power 20 watt mod in a small package. Having a high powered compact device is their market, the e-cig market has moved to higher power on everything.

"Standard coils" run in the 1.5Ω - 2.0Ω range....wasn't too long ago that would have been low and ultra low resistance. The iStick seems to be designed and catering to the high power craze.

Interesting point. That would explain why they're using the old method. Hmm....*puts on tin foil hat*

Then somebody forgot to tell ProVape. Even though I'm lazy and despise battery management I'm taking a long hard 2nd look at my 2.9v Provari mini.

Yes, most are. And I don't blame Eleaf for moving in this direction. Just don't advertise a 4.0v device to wimpy vapors like me as 3.0 volts. 'Cause we'll notice. :D

The voltage thing might have been a problem for me if I didn't order a KFL the same day.

I normally vape the older standard 2.2ohm single coil at 3.8 volts. 4 volts is okay, but 3.8 has been my sweet spot since I started 4 months ago.

With the standard now being 1.5 to 2.0 ohm dual coils, even on the lowest setting, the istick would still be too hot for me. I've only had it for a week, so I'll figure out how I'm going to use it going forward. I still carry 2 vapes on me at all times, so maybe the istick will just be my dedicated KFL battery.

Even Provari is moving to a higher wattage with their newest model, and being abused for not making it high enough. I don't pretend to understand it, just observing the results. The iStick being 20 watt is their big selling point, aimed at the vaper that wants to try out "big power" without spending $100 - $150 for a high wattage model.

I find it works exceptionally well with 2.0Ω dual coil setups, the wattage is split across the two coils, cuts it in half. A 8 watt setting, even if it is "really" 10 watts is still only providing 5 watts per coil, doesn't burn even my most delicate lemon-ice juice.

I like how Phil was chain vaping through the review. I mean, he always vapes quite a bit, but he especially needed one last vape to give the final thumbs down. I think that's a sign that he really did like the little guy, and felt at least a little conflicted about the overall.

But, I agree. My girlfriend has been using hers, I occasionally use it, and it's fantastic. I wish I'd started vaping two months later, so this could have been my step up from an ego, and not my VTR. But it really is a shame that they used mean not RMS, like the rest of the world indeed.

Maybe the conspiracy is that we'll rush out to buy v2's like we're buying the the v1, once it uses RMS :D

I couldn't find the 2.0Ω dual coils at the B&M. They only had the 1.8Ω Kanger Coils. They actually test 2.0Ω and work much better than the 1.5Ω coils I had. No more burnt hits and great flavor and vapor for a Kanger tank. I should have my Beyond Vape Silo Lite tomorrow with 1.8Ω Aspire BVC coils. I am looking forward to testing it Wednesday when my juice order arrives.

I've been using the 2.0Ω iClear30 tanks, their original ones not the 30b or 30s or whatever.

I remember when the complaint was about battery sag with dual coil cartos on 5v mods.

I have been using the 2.2 coils at 3.5 v (5.5w) on the iStick and it's great.....love it. Don't give up on the single coils....taste great with Cotton wick.

Well Phil's review simply confirmed for me that the pair I have ordered will work perfectly for my intended use with Aspire BVC Nautilus mini's and or K1's.

I was excited to find this little device since I was looking for something small that would power the BVC line at or above 15 watts. I actually really like the Aspire carbon fiber batteries since they look like a very high quality eGo battery but I assume they have an 11w limit. 11w watts just don't quite cut it for the BVC line for me.

Just watched Phil's vid. I know it has been an overly beaten dead horse but I just have to say - I'm so glad we finally have been validated about the 'mean vs rms' issue.

As I've said before, its very interesting (and strange) that with the many reviews out there on the Istick, not one reviewer other than Phil has pointed out that it hits too hot compared to other devices.

None the less, it works on all my tanks and coils, so I'm extremely happy with it!
