A complete observation from a non-technical person. I have only two devices... the istick and a Kamry X6 (which is an ego style VV battery, 1600mah). I actually vape a lot longer on the X6, 1600mah battery. The display on the istick must be a significant battery drain? Not complaining, as I can generally get a full day of vaping from the istick......just thought I'd get longer battery time than the 1600mah battery. Oh well, I'm generally pretty happy with it.

The battery capacity is usually measured to the lowest voltage the battery can go (usually 2.6v-2.75v). The Istick cuts off at 3.3v so while the battery might be a 2200mah rating, it's not using the full capacity (and it's not linear). The upside to this is that the battery will last much longer than if you drained down to 2.75v.

I would be Hard Pressed to spend $150 on an Unknown, Untested, Unreviewed APV that I had Never even seen an Actual Photo of.

For $150 I can buy at least 4 or 5 iSticks, that will easily fit in my pocket, perform very well, and are a nice replacement for eGo spinners. The IPV Mini looks interesting but not for the price point.

Thanks for the explanation KTM. Good to know. I figured someone would have a reason if I posted.

I agree.

I like the styling of it Better than the ZNA30. But $150 is too Steep for me.

And Isn't the iPV Mini gonna cost about 70 Bucks in 2 months when the Next "Latest-n-Greatest" APV comes out anyway?

I got mine from Rock Bottom in two days, but I'm in Florida like them. They do ship fast and the two orders I've got from them were perfect. Great customer service.

They also had the full size Nautius on sale for less than $18.00

I ordered a second iStick from them yesterday afternoon around 5. Got the shipped notification this morning.

I've been browsing this thread, as I don't yet have an iStick, but I wanted to drop in my :2c: about Rock Bottom Vapes. I've ordered a few things from them recently, and they have been stellar regarding all facets of my orders. Great prices, quick shipping, and so far excellent customer service. $34 for the iStick from them is well worth the money for as good as most of you have been commenting on the capabilities of the iStick. If I hadn't already blown my vape budget for this month, I'd probably be getting one myself :)

Yeah. Saw that. I pity the fools who jump on-board the iPV mini for $150. I'd sooner spend the extra $40 and get a VS rDNA 40...

If you Don't use Ni200 for a Coil Wire on a DNA 40, then Isn't the Temperature Control Non-Functional?

Thanks for the info on this.
I just ordered my second istick from this site.
The least expensive found on ebay this morning were from vapeoutlet - $34.99 for the istick, cable and adapter + 9% sales tax to CA. The colors available are black and blue.
I wanted another silver.

This coupon for 5% off worked - OCT514 - bringing the cost down to $32.75 + $2.50 shipping = $34.75.

This full kit includes:1x iStick 20W Device,1x USB Charging Cable, 1x 1 Amp Wall charger, 1x eGO Thread Connection Adapter, 1x User Manual
Black, blue, and silver are shown as in stock - no red.
The site charges 6% sales for orders shipped to Florida.

So a good price. We'll see how long the shipping to the west coast takes.

VapeNW is $34.95 like it has been all week. I ordered mine on a Friday afternoon (WA), and it arrived on Monday (VA). That's a good price at Rock Bottom if you can actually make use of the wall charger and cable. I actually could, as an acquaintance of mine has been asking me to put him on (but it's only after he's been drinking).

I actually prefer the ebay route because I have paypal to back me up in case there is an issue. Either way you're spending about the same amount.

If it drops to $50, I'd pick one up depending on the reviews.

Which is what I'm doing. I have a rDNA 40 reserved at the local VS shop. The wait is killing me.

DNA 30D. DNA 40. There's no DNA 40D.

Yes, you need Ni200 to take advantage of temp control. If you use Kanthal A1, it will function w/o temp control. Minimum of .16 ohms for A1, .10 ohms for Ni200. I already have Ni200 wire :D.

The month is almost over

Don't be fooled by Paypal's policies. They aren't as helpful as you might think. You're better off with your cc protection. Paypal gets paid by the seller, not the buyer so they're not that helpful when trying to resolve issues. You are the customer of the CC company and they will step up for you in ways Paypal can't/won't.

It's a typo. There is no DNA 40D.

Evolv LLC - Shop Now

The "D" boards seem to be something Evolv makes for Protvaper and Vapor Shark rather than it being a retail board. I recall someone kvetching that there were some sort of issues replacing one of the VS DNA chips with a retail Evolv chip because of differences. If someone is planning on doing a DIY board upgrade it would probably be a very good idea to double check.

These mods use the "D" designation and Protovaper lists the DNA 40D chip in the product description as what is used in their XPV DNA-40D. Doubt if these are all typos.
XPV DNA-40D with Temperature Protection
Vapor Shark rDNA (DNA40D Pre-Order)
