Mini protank II pairs up very well.....but you may need to get a 510 to ego adapter. If one doesn't come with your mod, you can pick up inexpensively from many suppliers.

@JMD -- the mini nauti is a perfect fit, but the full size nauti is a nice pairing, too.

Thanks! The prices on rockbottom and the fact that my main battery is dead are really pushing me toward pulling the trigger this afternoon. Excited and nervous at the same time.

Here's a pic of the adapter that comes with most "kits". Some also come with a usb charging cord tucked in the bottom of the box.

No need to be nervous -- it's a great little device. :)

About to pull the trigger on one of these. Long story short, my spinner just bit the dust this week. I've tried all sorts of tank/battery combinations, and have had the most success with the EVOD bcc.

I've read a decent amount of this thread and while the Nautilus mini seems be the go-to pairing with the iStick, I was wondering if something like a mini protank II would pair up well. Thanks in advance!
I have quite a few Evod toppers. They work great on my iSticks. One iStick came with the adapter, on the other I just use a regular 510 to Ego adapter. Hope to be able to buy one like the eleaf one some day because I like that adapter for looks (with the knurled lip) and it is easy to remove the topper without removing the adapter too.

I won't charge my batteries while I'm out of the house. I will charge them overnight, but only if necessary.

I use a fancy tin container to charge in, just in case. If I didn't have that, I would use a pyrex baking dish. Plus, I only charge batteries in the room I'll be in most of the time while they're charging so I'll be there to fix anything that may go wrong.

I've never had anything explode or catch fire. But, I do walk by and check the batteries occasionally and have had a couple of them get hot enough that I unplugged them as a precaution. Not so hot that I was worried about a fire. Just hot enough to want to *rest* the battery for a while before continuing to charge.

I had one eGo charger that tended to do that (make the batteries get very warm while charging). I threw it away and started buying higher quality eGo chargers. My regular charger is an Xtar. Never had any problems with it.

My Nitecore D2 replaced my Xtar WP2. I trust Nitecore over Xtar.

sweet ! good to hear. my mvp is starting to fade quicker and quicker and I wanted to try something new but not too unfamiliar.i love the little box mod mvp2, so when I seen this I thought it would make a good replacement.

I got 2 mini nautilis's and one full size to top them with, but opon looking at the size, maybe the 5 ml naut will just look ridiculous on it.oh well. can't wait to get em.i ordered 2 silvers.:vapor:

The Istick has replace my 3 month old MVP2 since I got it. It's better in every way except battery capacity (2200mah vs 2600mah) but that really not an issue for me. I've tried different tanks on the Istick but I've settled on my Kayfuns (KFL+ and 3.1) for now. It's not really as unbalanced as it looks in pics and the vape is awesome. Way better than an Aerotank or Protank 3 mini, stock and built coils. I have KFL+ v2 and 2 Erlkonigin clones on the way (still!!!).

VapeNW on eBay has them for $35 shipped and it usually takes 2-3 days to receive. My Istick from them came in the retail package with a 510 to ego adapter, not the a plain white box with no adapter.

With all the talk of the Istick being overpowered I have been afraid to bump up the power so that it will burn up my 1.8 Nautilus mini BVC. I have only used it at the lowest 3 volts. What volts/watts is everyone else vaping at?

Is there a reason you want to go up in power? I'm currently using a KFL+ with a 1.7 ohm coil and rayon wick at 6w (3.1v) on my Istick. I tried going up as high as 15w, 5v and other than being a bit warmer vape, not much more vapor or flavor so I went back down to 6w.

Everyone will have different results from variances of factory built coils and e-juice used. You should be able to bump it up .1v and take a few puffs to see if you get a burnt taste. If not, bump it and take a few puffs again. Give it some time between bump ups so the wicks can do their job. Find the spot you like and enjoy!

I'm not a big fan of overnight charging (ANYTHING). And as much as I like this little thing, I simply don't know enough about it's build quality to trust it on a charger while I sleep.

Don't take that as a knock. I trust NOTHING on a charger while I sleep. It's just me.

Nor do I. It's certainly not a bad rule to follow!

I fly RC aircraft and have learned (the hard way) about battery safety.

If you're concerned you can place the device your charging on something like an old ceramic dinner plate . Better a scorch mark and mess on an old plate that on a wooden nightstand or kitchen counter.

Old folks have big heavy glass ashtrays that we put our charging batteries in.

Ours has our name engraved in it and was a wedding present 42+ years ago.

I have a charging station myself. ;)

(yeppers, it's an antique pressure cooker!) :D

Well, my Istick is on the way from Smoke Evolution. I got it just to use with my full sized Nautilus, since the Nautilus (even with BVC) requires a higher wattage than I use on anything else, and I was getting tired of remembering to switch constantly with my VV v3 rotation. I'm figuring on only removing the Nautilus from the Istick when I need to change coils, since the spring loaded pin on the Nautilus pushes device pins down.

And the battery charging discussion brings me to my public service announcement:
Check Your Smoke Alarms Regularly and Change the Batteries in them Twice Each Year

We had a major chimney fire last winter, and lost our house to smoke and water damage, but no people or pets were injured because we had good smoke alarms. Of course the irony was that I had switched from smoking to vaping three months earlier mainly because hand problems made it impossible for me to hold onto cigarettes and I was afraid I'd burn the house down.

To lazy to "Quote" some of the previous posts, but regarding charging safety.

I to learned a lesson with my RC batteries. Now I use a mason jar deep enough for the battery, top that with a plastic plate with a hole in the center (looks like a plate donut) as large as the ring/lid piece and a ziploc bag of sand on the plate. Idea being if the battery catches fire, it will melt through the bag of sand. The sand will drop into the jar and snuff out the fire.......... Tested and Proven. I currently live in an apartment and would feel horrible if anything happend to me let alone displacing 100+ others.

I love my Eleaf, 5 solid days and very happy

As far as charging, I think the pics with exploding batteries scared everyone into being extra cautious which isn't necessarily a bad thing. If your batteries are in good condition and not too old AND you have a good charger with over-charge protection, you will be fine. That's one of the main reasons I upgraded my charger. I had the Xtar WP2 for over a year to charge 18650's for my flashlights and while it was reliable, there were some people with issues with them but not blowing up batteries. LiIon chargers have come a LONG way in a year but I waited a bit for things to shake out and settle down before upgrading. I have a Nitecore flashlight and they're a solid company so I trust their products despite some negative reviews on their chargers. I've been very happy with the D2 (didn't need the 4 port version). Check your batteries every once in a while during a charge. If they get hot, they might be getting old and time to replace them. MicroUSB charged devices usually have protection circuits that prevent overcharging, even when left overnight. Again, check every once in a while (every week?) to see if it's getting hot.

Back to the Istick and tanks. It seems the universal recommendation is the Nautilus mini and Istick as the perfect setup. I've seen some reviews that said the Aerotank was better so that's what I bought months ago but found they're not as good as my Kayfuns so they haven't gotten much use. Maybe because the BVC wasn't out yet? I don't know but they seem to be more popular. I know rebuildables can be daunting but have you guys tried one? I know there's lots of new tanks out and more coming but the Kayfun Lite+ is a great tank that's fairly easy to work on and produces a much, much better vape than my Aerotank. I also like that I don't have to buy $2 coils every week or two ($10 on wire and cotton to last a lifetime). I think my KFL+ and Istick is a perfect match despite the 2mm overhang on the button side. And this setup with a full tank weights a few grams less than a MVP2 with no tank. Not to mention it's more compact and more comfortable to hold.

For like the 3rd time, my Aunt has managed to mess up her bvc coil. Does anyone else have problems with their coils giving off a huge POP when you fire it up, only for it to spit up hot juice in your mouth?

This is the authentic 1.8 bvc coil I am referring to. Came in an authentic Aspire 5 pack. This is the the second coil we have put in, the first stared popping after about 2 weeks, and this one started to pop after not even a week. She runs it around 10 watts, and maybe vapes 3 mils a day. Surely I am not the only one having this issue. Would like some input or thoughts.

She loves the setup, but is not willing to replace heads every damn week, especially when they are close to 15 bucks for a 5 pack. I am about to say forget it and get her an rta and build her a coil, I am so tired of her having constant problems and returning to smoking after every tank she has owned has had some sort of issue.

The single kanger coils I used for almost two years only lasted me 2-3 days at best. A week or two is not bad at all for coil life. If you think about the cost of replacing a coil head once a week for~$2.50~, it's still a pretty darn inexpensive way to stay off the cancer sticks.

ETA .... turning down the voltage some, might stop the popping and prolong coil life. I run mine at 3 istck volts with no issues.
