MORTIS, some conjecture around here is that the istick regulates below native battery voltage, but does so in Vavg rather than Vrms. We're waiting for someone with full scope capabilities to obtain an istick and run some tests.

Thanks aldenf. Yes I remember reading here of how the istick regulates the voltage but I figured scaredmice's meters were reading in Vrms, however as you say - maybe not.

There are 3 Things that I have Always thought the ECF Needed.

1 - A Resident Chemist to answer Questions about e-Liquids.

2 - A Resident Lawyer to answer Questions about Legislative/FDA Issues

3 - A Resident Electronic Tech to answers Questions about All Things Electrical.

And a translator to make their answers understandable to everyone....:)

We could put to rest the arguments over which is better,
Fahrenheit or Celsius or Kelvin.....Imperial or Metric....Coke or Pepsi...paper or plastic....and most important Vavg or Vrms

I dunno... again, just comparing 3.0v from the iStick to other mods just doesn't fire the same way. I still think it's Vavg. But I've learned more about this crap in this thread than I ever wanted to know. I used to just buy a battery and say, "Hey, this works pretty good!". :D

And thank you for doing this. You're a credit to frightened rodents everywhere. :)

Heh.

On an exciting note, I just got a call from my B&M that the iStick has arrived! (Yes I know I can get it cheaper online, but they kinda broke their own policy to contact me and I like supporting them cause they're awesome). No idea if they got blue, which I really want, or not, but I'll be checking it out around 7 EDT. [emoji41]

I think Many Times the Extra Cost of being able to walk into a Store and being able to Hold an Item and Check it Out is worth the Extra Money they have to Charge. That and you Walk Out with it in your Pocket. And should be Able to Return or get Support on it if there is a Problem.

I don't have a Problem buying from a B&M. That is, as long as the Mark-Up Isn't too High. Helps the Local Economy.

As far as I can tell they don't mark up hardly at all on most stuff. They just can't buy at the kind of volume that would allow steep discounts. And they've been great since I first walked in, so...

There's plenty of stuff I buy online, too, so why not spread it around a little.

OMG ... ^^^+ a zillion times this ^^^!!! I thought this exact same thing three days ago but didn't post it because I didn't want to discourage the techies amongst us in their quest for understanding ... or maybe I didn't value being called a smart .....

Now if I had paid >$150 for this device, I'd be expecting a small drool towel to drop out to wipe my mouf after a particularly juicy hit, but at <$35 I'm like Mr. Kodiak up there with, "hey, this works pretty good!"

Don't know if this has been posted here or not (I can only read so much in here until I start hearing the school teacher from the Charlie Brown cartoons in my head) but ...

I noticed a considerable decrease in the brightness of the display when time came to recharge. I was trying to vape this puppy dry but after three days I only managed to get to the fainter display. Not sure if it will like blink or something just before it dies. But the faint display is a nice feature that it's getting time to recharge.

It will turn itself off and say "low volt" :) Well.......not actually say it, but the display will show, "low volt".

I put a Piece of Black Electrical Tape over the Watt/Volt Display.

So the Only way I can Tell if the Hit I am Getting is Good or Bad is by the Taste of the Hit. And Not the Number on the Screen.

And for the 2.8 Ohm CE2's I run on My iStick, it Tastes Great.

3 days sounds really good. Then again, how much juice would you estimate you vaped during that period?
Also, have you (or anyone) noticed if the strength of the hit stay the same till near dead?

Both of Mine Seems to.

But I have Never run one Down Below about 80%. So I don't know what it will do at < 20% of the Battery Capacity.
