Nice pics Aldenf.

I got mine in the mail today too, from sweetvapes. I got the full kit, and it did come with a 1000ma output AC wall adapter. It's the shorter one that came with the 20w I think. Also, it came with a perdy full sturdy box. Strange that the upgrade varies a bit more this time. Just an fyi if anyone is deciding between the standard or full kits.

Here we go gang. Got the iStick 30W in the mail today.

This is simply an unboxing. I'll give you my first impressions tomorrow. (Hint: Thus far, I'm liking it very much.)

Packaging from evape.us received in good condition.

Contents of package: Eleaf Box, generic USB cable, generic USB power adapter, free 10ml e-liquid, invoice.

Closeup of hardware:

USB adapter only supplies 500mA. Fortunately, I have several 1A-2.5A wall-worts and a USB charging station.

Closeup of Eleaf box:

Contents of Eleaf box: just 30W iStick and manual. There was no 510-eGo adapter included. I have three already.

iStick 30W. My shop seems to be a bit dusty...

Next to the iStick 20W. Notice "30W" is only printed on one side of the enclosure.

Some of the 30watter's new family.

Except for the top cap, the 20 & 30 watters appear physically identical, rattly fire button and all. :glare:

Give me a day or so to use it and get some numbers. I'm too busy to type anymore... :vapor:

ETA: Big thumbs for evape.us. Ordered the 30watter on Monday just before noon. Received it today (Wednesday) about 1pm. Was not expecting a USB cable, adapter or free e-liquid. And the price was great @ $33.99 shipped.

Alden, Looking at your pics... couldn't they have kept the air flow slots in the same direction allowing use of the standard bending adapter?? At first I thought it was a distance issue, but the pics don't support that.

Everything arrived in perfect shape from evape.us. iStick 30w, GS Air tank, free sample. [Strawberry - but it has nic, so I can't use it. Will pass it on.]

- Kudos to evape.us for super prompt service and great prices.

- This is my first mod - and it's amazing to me. What a power and temp difference from the EVODs. Will never look back.

- GS Air - air flow is perfection for me. Vape quality and temp are perfection. Taste is rich, but I'm tasting something - that I guess tastes like *new tank*. Not great yet. I'm hoping it's because the wicks are still soaking. Hopefully that will improve.

To be continued.

Ok, I'm a complete idiot. I see now that I had this GS Air 1.5 ohm dual coil tank running anywhere from 6 to 8 volts as I was playing around.
I had it all wrong, and I see now my range should have been more like 3 to 3.5 volts.
I guess I fried the coil/head? And I don't have spares yet.

Any way for me to evaluate if I compromised the head, or should I definitely stop using the tank now until I get another head/coil?

I didn't see any free shipping but I would like to know about puttin a bvc in an aspire vivi nova bdc. Would that be the same as a vivi nova bvc? I was thinkin about orderin a couple of these for backups, they are out of vivi nova bvc's. What ohm coil would be recommended for the 20? Anybody?

The BVC coils work great in the old vivi nova BDCs!!

Looking for the best price on the 30 watt, and best presale price for the 50 watt .

Evape still has the 30watter in black, red & silver for $34.99 (free, fast shipping). Create an account and sign up for their newsletter and you get 100 "points" worth a dollar off your first purchase, bringing the total to $33.99. I have not seen it, in stock, any cheaper yet. Though it will probably land around $30 in a month or two.

When I go to choose a color option nothing shows in the drop down--strange--says in stock still

Edit--ok--works in Chrome but not Firefox

From the 510 pin (on center) to the edge of the top cap, the 20watter is 8mm; the 30watter almost 12mm. Not having a bending adapter in my possession, I'm not entirely sure how that would effect operation. It looks like only a 15mm atty would fold parallel to the body. Anything bigger looks like it will get hung up on the "landing deck".

Man... you guys just need an RTA and simplify all the replacement coil issues :p

After a quick charge, it's still vaping superb.

The new top cap is nice and I enjoy the curve on the backend. I usually use my thumb to fire with my index finger holding onto the top end. The fire button has a bit of play like the previous versions.

Looking out for the phantom click now. Ever present in the 20W... so far, so good.

I'm not surprised at all having heard that from someone else on the thread here earlier. Ismoka/Eleaf is simply using the same button while the casing and chip card have been changed along with the improved threading.

By RTA I'm referring to Rebuidable Tank Atomizer... Eg Kayfun, Orchid etc. I understand building isn't for everyone... I was simply poking fun at carto tank and pre-built users. Totally no hate... There are devices for everyone... Just havin a giggle:D

I know that! I was simply clarifying just what type of atomizer you were referring to. RDA, RBA, and Rebuildable Atomizer are what most hear about however in discussions or when browsing through the tanks a vendor will be carrying. I ended up getting a dud clone here that showed 0.5ohm but wouldn't fire on anything suggesting a short in the 510 I still have to trace some who or end up tossing it! Had everything set to go and nothing.
