I have had more trouble getting the wicking just right on Lemo 2 with thicker juices compared to other tanks as well. I have settled on having my coil on a slight diagonal, and have been putting my wicks just on half of the two juice wells. I leave from the juice hole over empty for the juice to collect if that makes any sense how i am explaining. This has worked terrifically with everything, but especially my thicker juices especially.

Mine smelled of oil but wasnt loaded with it. Didnt use stock build b/c if I could smell it I figured the cotton in it could have absorbed it. I clean any new tanks straight away anyhow.

Yeah, I always clean new atomizers regardless if they are spotless, or smell of machine oil, or in this case doused in machine oil . I was going to clean it anyway, the part that upset me was they put a build in it, as if it was ready to vape.

That is strange. I probably could have filled and vaped mine right out of the box, but I gave it the dawn dish soap bath anyway. Wanted a ni200 build on it as well.

HD

I put the stock coil back in and tried it with approximately the same wicking that it came with. You aren't missing much, I vaped a quarter of the tank, then drained it, yanked it out, and put a ni200 build in it. Much better.

Two piece base is as dumb as I thought it would be, and the airflow isn't what I had thought it would be, was expecting a more open draw. Oh well, still like it, I can see this being my main single coil ni200 tank now.

ok first impressions of the Lemo 2 from a daily ST Mini user:

This is a nice looking tank, and it looks and feels substantial. It's a big improvement over the Lemo in looks and feel.

washed and dried it, ripped the way too much stock cotton out and wicked with rayon. Wicked similar to how I wick my ST Minis, which is very minimal, and loaded up with the same juice I have in the ST Mini to do a quick comparison.

First, airflow is no improvement over the ST Mini, which was a bit of a disappointment because I was hoping it would be airier. It's no worse than the ST Mini, but it's no better either. They are so close in airflow that you really can't call it either way IMO.

Second, I think the filling method is good for the Lemo 2, and I have not had a drop leak out. We'll see if that's the case in the morning, but dry as a bone so far.

Third, it wicks better than an ST Mini. I haven't had anything approaching a dry hit. It was a little flood-y when I first filled it, and again when I got home from going out to dinner, but it cleared up fast and vaped well. I simply think it needs more wick than the minimal ST Mini job I threw in it.

Fourth, flavor is similar to and maybe just a hair not as good as the ST Mini, BUT, the fact that the Lemo 2 wicks effectively negates that by being able to throw more power at the build, which opens up the flavor. I am hitting the Lemo 2 at 30w, and I can only run the ST Mini at 23.5w.

Comparing the two tanks at 23.5w, the ST Mini wins. It produces dense vapor, pleasing warmth, decent flavor, and it's pretty easy on juice and battery. Above 25w it's no competition, the Lemo 2 is a better tank. Good vapor, juicy saturated flavor and the wicking keeps up with how much you feel like vaping.

Mine had the shorter stock drip tip, which I think looks great but heats up way too fast. I hit the Lemo 2 only a few times before I took it off and threw a pyrex tip on it. I liked the looks better with the stock tip but it vapes better with mine.

So far so good, it's not an earth shattering improvement over the ST Mini, which is pretty phenomenal within the narrow range it works well in, but it does allow you to run a little hotter setup than the ST Mini without running into an inability to keep up with the wicking. I'm glad I got it, my impressions so far are favorable.

Yeah, the huge chimney is a bit deceptive, I too was expecting more airflow, but the center post hole is a bit of a choke point.

Where is the Lemo 2 4S kit?? Haha.

I think Matt makes some good points about the Lemo 2 but I do enjoy mine with TC and have replaced the drip tip with a much smaller diameter experiencing better flavor as a result. Maybe that reduction in airflow is the reason I am getting better flavor due to the massive chimney.

If it's not flooding, it's hitting dry, or flavor is garbage. I can't seem to get this thing figured out.
Try something besides 100%VG.... molasses isn't meant to be vaped in tanks.

Oh, and pancake wicks basically turn your tank into an RDA you can't access. lol
Rip will never admit to that. He's too busy pretending to be innovative.

The "Pancake Method" works great assuming you will always keep the atomizer completely vertical or don't mind a pocket full of e-liquid.

I believe many people don't realize that VG sucks at carrying flavor, while PG excels at it. I have only two go-to eliquid flavors that I use, and the vendor for one offers as high as 100%VG, the other 90%. For fun, I've tried different combinations and always end up back at 50/50's. Even at 70% VG, the flavor very noticeably suffers vs. a 50/50.

Not to mention unnecessary wicking issues..... FWIW, I've vaped the Lemo's with as high as 80% VG with no issues, so it's simply matter of practice and experimentation. You can see all the videos and pictures in the world, but until one nails the correct density and placement, it won't matter.

I'm fairly new at building coils and have had this for a 3 days now. I used the installed sub-ohm coil for a day and it was fine. I just don't like watching my juice level drop as I vape. So, I built a coil yesterday and it turned out at 1.6 ohms (was shooting for 1.2 or so). I have it set on one of my iSticks at 15W. No problems, and plenty of vapor and favor.

Also, I've had no trouble at all with leaking. If one watches some of the videos on it, you should have no problems.
