No leaks or flooding on any of my 7 KF v4's :p

Just got my Lemo 2. I did a quick wash (dawn and hot water) as usual. I wanted to try the stock coil since I've never really tried a single kanthal coil under 1Ω. Filled it on its side as recommended and no leaks. The coil read .52Ω when I put it on my Hana mini clone with a DNA40 and VT 510. It's settled down to .51Ω. I tried it at 20w, 25w, 30w and 35w. It seems to work best at 25w, afc wide open and lung hits. I don't know how you guys can vape at 35w+. I'm not really a lung hitter but it doesn't work very well MTL. I'm sure it's because of the coil. When I finish this tank, I'll throw on a Ni200 build (7 spaced wraps, 3mm ID, 28g).

I bought a few extra KF v4 drip tips and replaced the silly drip tip that came with it. With lung hits, this thing chucks clouds and gulps juice. I haven't had any gurgling but it seems like there's always air bubbles coming out of the juice channels. Did anyone get cotton pads with theirs? Mine came with it rather than the cotton balls I've seen in reviews.

Mine came with cotton pads. I also have not (yet) had flooding issues with the top fill. As George stated, top fill without some form of juice control is basically a flood waiting to happen. I'm not sure why it's not flooding after each fill. So far I'm just using the stock build that it came with, so maybe ehpro knows some magic that I don't lol.

I would assume closing the afc is their attempt to minimize flooding but I think you'd need to plug the drip tip as well.

It's pretty cool seeing this thick cloud but I'm getting tired of lung hits. I'll rebuild this tonight.

With it on its side (side fill) the pressure of the liquid in the tank is low relative to a true top fill.
You need that perfect balance of just enough wick and filling it fast so the liquid doesn't have time to fill the atty chamber. I'm guessing that you start vaping right after filling so you are vaping the extra liquid that seeps in the chamber while the negative pressure is building.

I agree. Closing the AFC will prevent flooding into the airhole but won't prevent flooding into the chamber. As soon as you open the AFC, any flood in the chamber runs out the air intake holes. I notice the fill hole definitely wasn't made with thick juice in mind. I'm still having a bit of trouble filling the thing even after I enlarged the fill hole. It might be a combination of everyone now using thicker juices and the relatively small juice channels that prevents the juice level in the chamber from rising higher than the air hole while filling. As long as the flood in the chamber doesn't get deeper than the airhole, it's all good.

I bought 10 of these 50ml bottles from Fasttech. The opening isn't too small so dispensing heavy VG juice is still quick.

KTM,

I sure hope you didn't use those cotton pads. Remember those little black and brown specs you saw in and on the Pads. I won't say what they are but take a magnifying glass and look close. I can guarantee it will gross you out. If you want to know what they are Just send a PM to Jeremy in his rayon thread. I believe he put them under a microscope.

That is all I am going to say about them.

I'm using rayon but thanks for the heads up :vapor:

I just looked at it under a magnifying glass and it looks like grass/dirt. I think one waived at me

Just got my Lemo 2 and decided to try the stock coil with my cotton. I have never ever used sub ohm so I was kind of nervous.
I have found out I am NOT a sub ohm gal! Even at 3.2 volts it was just too much for me! LOL I prefer my Kayfuns and my Lemo Drop around 1.3 so after I finish this tank I will def rebuild this thing.

But I am loving the airflow control and the new fill method. Just what the Lemo needed! And a little bit more knurling on the bottom.

It definitely sucks up juice. I finished a tank in a few hours with the stock .5Ω build doing lung hits. I should note that I was just about chain vaping to get thru the tank so I can build a nickel coil. I just built a .12Ω nickel coil and so far, it's pretty good. It whistles a bit when I have it closed off for MTL. I think it's a great tank for lung hitters but I like my KF v4's better so far.

I have tried and tried, watched videos, searched threads and read, and I cannot wick the Lemo or Lemo II for the life of me!

I am buying some KGD to try but with cotton no matter the ohms, watts, build it is dry hit city.
What are you using for the wick? ID of your coil?

I would say 3mm ID. Don't stuff the coil too much with cotton as it expands and can choke the coil. With the chamber section on and the wicks wet, use a toothpick or small screw driver and move the cotton away from the juice channels (push toward the build deck, away from the chamber walls).

I would like to replace the 2 lead screws for something bigger. Does anyone know what size I should get?

I usually turn down the AFC to a hair past the whistle, which affords me a an open MTL hit. Not quite the tight pull of a KFL, but not quite a full on lung hitter. Somewhere in-between, which I've come to enjoy. 1.2 ohm coil (2.5 diameter) wicked with rayon is a nice vape. And as you discovered, simply replacing the driptip with a more enjoyable one makes a world of difference.
