Ha,ha!

My sister-in-law had an experience like that. She was stopped at a signal, with a Sheriff stopped next to her. The Sheriff motioned for her to roll down her window, then proceeded to question her about what she was "smoking" (and not very politely).

She bolded explained to him what she was "smoking" and quickly enlightened him to what a ton of people were doing now instead of smoking cigarettes.

It all ended well, with the Sheriff driving off with "new" knowledge about vaping! :)

Well....I live in a town whose nickname is 'AK-Rowdy'....

We are well known for our (MODERATED), so yeah....I get pulled over on a fairly regular basis.

Though, when I smoked, I got pulled over on a fairly regular basis too..... One of my best friends lives in a SUPER SHADY part of town that also happens to be predominately black/hispanic. Cops generally assume a 20-something white girl only goes to that area for drugs.

I just explain that it's an e-cigarette, show him/her a bottle of branded eliquid that I keep in the car for such purposes (it has a lovely warning label about nicotine being a poison), and they let me go on my merry way. I had once instance where they searched my car, which I found hilarious because I was moving boxes of books over to my mom's, so I had a trunk+backseat+passenger seat full of boxes. They ended up calling back up to search all of the boxes. I sat on the curb giggling like an idiot the entire time.

I've found that dropping my ecig into my lap is pretty much my best option when I see a cop in this town.

From what I understand, police officers smoke quite a bit, and they are often interested to learn about vaping.
So hide it if you don't have time to deal with it, but don't be afraid if you have time and are ready to dispense some knowledge.

I hooked up a cop at the DMV once.
I have no idea if it took or not.

Got stopped while I was walking by a cop and he said that he smelled of ......... in the airjust as I put my ego twist away. I told him it wasn't me and he asked me to empty my pockets. I did so and just as I was pulling out my twist two guys walked by with a blunt. He apologized and turned his attention to them. I was upset cause I didn't have the chance to school him on vaping. Oh well:2cool:

Got pulled over last weekend and the Cop called for backup 8-o...turns out the "backup" was a another cop/ smoker who was desperately trying to quit. Showed him my Kgo, Don and SD Keyring and he bought a Kgo and some 18 mg juice right on the spot. Called me today and he's vaping up a storm and had a few questions BUT he's lovin' every minute of it and is amazed at the effect it's had on his smoking. He also wants another one for his wife

That is so sad you have to do that! The story about the books is awesome.. Maybe you should get a bumper sticker that says It's just an Electronic Cigarette...CALM DOWN..

Just a "lol" thought :)

I've had a couple of cops show interest in my setup, but neither were smokers so we didn't get too deep into it. I make it a point to carry a few business cards in my wallet from a couple of places I buy from. If a policeman or anyone else wants to check things out for themselves, I'm ready to whip out a card. I really need to get some of the ECF ones :)
