Wait, what do you mean First. Are we expecting more? Why?
Well, it was bound to happen eventually, and it's bound to happen again. Nothing is ever entirely safe.

And...which of course should be noted...it was an equipment failure, not the vapor itself that did the damage. I saw somebody post on this incident something like "Ten years from now vapers are gonna be dropping dead with sludge in their lungs". That's like comparing a dropped cigarette burning the house down around you, to lung cancer.

Honestly, I think they've handled it quite well, so far. A guy died, people. Do you really expect the guy reporting the story to say "USER ERROR!!! HE HAD NO BUSINESS RUNNING A MECH! IT WAS AN UNSAFE BUILD TO BEGIN WITH!!! DUAL FUSED STAPLED STAGGERED ALIENS ON A SINGLE 18650 MECH??? NOT TO MENTION, HE WAS USING AN EFEST.....AN EFEST!!!!!"
C'mon. They went as far as to interview a vape shop guy. I'm pretty impressed with their reporting .
Complete OT --- Wait - what's wrong with Efest?? :/

I'm old...whats 'OT'?

'OFF TOPIC', Abs.

So WHAT if the question was off-topic, Kat. Ya still coulda answered it. Jeez!

OT stands for Over-Tme, I believe. It's a sports thing (although I'm not sure why sports is a topic in this thread) ;).

I should probably go no, I expect.

The Tesla car has 2200 18650 batteries in it, I wonder what would happen if one of them blew ?

2200? Way low.

The current, top-of-the-line 100 kWh Models S and X have 8256 18650 cells.

The current Model 3 has 4416 total 21700 cells.
