So are you guys saying that the stem unscrews from the chamber? I took a stab at unscrewing it before but thought maybe it was pressed in.

Yeah the chimney tube unscrews from the chimney bell. One of mine was loctited or glued and was a pain to separate, and the other one unscrewed very easy and wasn't loctited or glued.

I'm on my second successful build of the Fogger and I'm enjoying it more and more.

I removed the cotton yarn in favor of a ss mesh wick encased in hollow ekowool. Sort of the reverse of the "stock" wick. The coils (I did 4 wraps of non-resistance->resistance<-non-resistance wire) are wrapped around the mesh "core" and only the ends of the hollow ekowool are in the wick channels. This is way more simple than I'm making it sound, but it's working beautifully.

Had some flooding after the initial fill, but leaving the whole unit upside down, with the airflow ring wide open, for about an hour cleared that out. Now it's hit after saturated hit. Mmmmm.....Old Man juice from roarvapor.

I ordered two foggers, one from vaporciggz and the other from cloudsofvapor. They both don't have the grommet under where the coil lines up with the airhole, so luck there, but I had to take the base off of the from from cloudsofvapor and adjust the silicone piece to allow airflow to the side air holes, it had become twisted somehow and was blocking them. I finally got a proper micro coil going, 28 gauge kanthal on a 1/16th drill bit, about 10-11 wraps giving me a 1.5 ohm resistance (I want to use it on my vamo as well as my mech). I used sterile cotton balls for the first time, threading it through the coil after mounting it (thanks to the guy with the suggestion of using 18g needle tip in the screw holes, easy peasy to get the bends needed to screw the coil down). I cut the cotton down flush with the wall where the slots are cut out and put a little excess along the sides. First vape was amazing, and kept on being amazing for the first hour, flavor and th were great, almost as good as my trident with dual coils @ .9 ohm. However, after the first hour I started getting dry hits, I could remedy this by closing the airholes and taking some dry pulls to wet the wick, but that's a hassle and I'm starting to taste the cotton now. I guess I may have a little too much cotton in my wick but damn, it's a fine line! I want to play with an ss mesh wick tonight, maybe lay a piece of 3mm silica on top of it as a flavor wick. I'll probably do that on my second one and try a little less cotton in this current build on the one I'm using now, a did love the flavor of it when I first started vaping on it, I just need to get the juice flow right.

P.S. Thanks to those who have been giving suggestions and letting us know what's worked. And a special thanks to the guy that put the pictures up on how to get the base off to adjust the silicone piece and as I mentioned above, the guy that suggested using the needles to seat the coil. I would go back and get your screen names but, this thread is large and I've read through the whole thing already, I'm too lazy atm to go look for the post.

I had the same issue when I ran "normal" cotton in mine... amazing at first, and then it goes to crap fairly quickly. At the moment I have cotton yarn (Peaches & Creme) which seems to hold up better. I do want to experiment with the SS though... is SS known to wick faster than something like Silica? I haven't played with it much.

Could you explain more about when the cotton wick went south, was it just after a few hits or a couple of tanks?

Hmmm... I would say within 2 hours or so. The thing that frustrates me with the rolled cotton is it's hard to come up with something that's repeatable with this device. With the yarn, you can make it exactly the same thickness every time. At the moment I'm running a single piece with 2 strands removed. This device is SO picky about wick thickness at the hole... it either wants to flood, or it's dry hit city. So I'm searching for that perfect thickness, that I can repeat time and time again. So far the 2 strands removed has been the best for me

Mine was after about an hour or so of chain vaping. There is just a funny aftertaste, like i'm chewing on a napkin or something. That taste was not there during the first hour.

Is the cotton getting scorched after a couple of hours?

I think so ... I think it slowly starts to deteriorate, and in turn affects it's ability to wick in new juice. I have much better luck with rolled cotton in my drippers. In the Fogger I just can't get rolled cotton to work reliably, and getting to the coil is much more of a pain with it... so I need something that's going to hold up a LOT longer. Silica was more durable, but didn't seem to "keep up" with the coil, and led to dry hits. So for the moment the yarn is what I'm using, but I do want to experiment with SS.

So here's what I did.
I build the same micro coil that I put in just about every atomizer that I own (almost all) and that is a 0.7 to 1 Ω coil with an I.D of 1/16".
Now the rolled cotton wick is the same as I use in each of these atomizers with the exception of length.
As soon as I got my first Fogger (v1) I took one look at those wick holes and went straight for my Dremel.
I used an 1/8" bit, the hole is a half sphere, essentially a 1/16" hole just not round. It all sounds like the right size to me (1/16")
Mod at your own risk

Here's my thoughts , only thoughts, your coils is semi starved, caramelizing the juice about to go into it cutting off the juice even more as time goes on.

Yes, I agree, that is very likely ... modding the holes is probably the way to fix it, just gotta get up the guts to do it. :)

So less cotton will fix it? This is the first time I've used cotton and I honestly wouldn't mind having to change out the wick every couple of days, if I can keep the results I got during the first hour, longer.

Wow, I already have a Dremel, but certainly don't have THAT many attachments for it. That's impressive!

Here some pics,
This one is used about 3 tanks but too many days old

Here is a look at the enlarged hole with the 3 mm bit that did it

Here is the wick that is the right size for the coil (and the holes) before cutting

Note that I didn't make the hole any lower.
Darn, I squeeze them wraps again too

I think that my issue is a little too much cotton. I don't want to drain and check it out now since I'm at work, but I'll take a look when I get home and also do the ss mesh wick in my other Fogger.
